Good selection but you pay for the variety, $11+ for a 4 pack. Its pretty crowded inside, but it does have a good selection better than average, a keg room which is interesting ( I overheard a patron asking about filling a growler), and the staff are friendly enough too.

I’d first like to start out by saying I am completely amazed by the cleanliness, kindness and wide selection this place has. I was referred by a friend to check out this liquor store. As I got there, I saw they had the BIGGEST and BEST beer selection in Metro Detroit. On top of that, they are so kind, and always offer to educate you on their liquor products. It’s hard to find a liquor store that has all of your requests, but Beer Baron is the one! Everything I asked the staff for, they had it! I was definitely amazed to see the reach the staff goes to please their customers. This is definitely my new liquor store!

After many, many calls around the metro Detroit area, someone recommended The Beer Baron in Livonia. I was trying to find Makesons XXX Milk Stout and no one could give me any answers--just excuses and my wholesaler never heard of it / my wholesaler cant get it. These guys are amazing in that they knew what beer I was talking about and how to get it. Further, their friendliness and customer service is 5/5!! They returned all calls, did what they promised, and listened to what I was asking. The store is a treasure of difficult-to-find items and I sincerely believe that if they dont have it, they will certainly investigate your requests. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE 5/5!!!!!

Huge selection of beer, friendly staff. I visited a couple of weeks ago, they also dispense beer into growlers to go. Just a word of caution though, check the best before dates on the merchandise (underside of cans) .I purchased a couple of different ciders from the central shelving units that were dated best before 2015 (in 2021).

Excellent place. I havent use their draft growler station in a long while ago I cant speak on that but the selection is still massive. Liquor and beer. I would recommend visiting if youve never been.

Beer Baron is my favorite store to pick up craft beer. Maverick is such a nice and helpful guy. They always receive the limited releases and the prices are fair. My favorite part is their huge selection of single bottles - it makes it so easy to try new beers each visit! The growler filling station is great too - they have lots of tap takeovers from the Michigan heavy hitters like Founders and Bells to lesser known breweries as well. Highly recommend!

This place recently went through an owner change and I was very sceptical at first, but the new owners out did themselves. The place looks amazing and has an even better selection of alcohol than before! I will definitely be back!

Ive been having my Growler filled for years at this store. More so with the old ownership which I had a conversation with about how often they keep their lines clean when changing their kegs. He indicated that they sterilize all their lines when they change a keg. I never had a problem with them. I recently had a growler filled with the new ownership. Very disappointed to wake up this morning with a draft beer headache after having a few glasses of my draft.

This is my favorite place to get beer. Definitely worth the drive. I have been coming here for a few years and I was just in this past weekend and I met the new owners. They were really nice and knowledgeable and they have some exciting plans to remodel and add more beer, liquor, and wine. Will be back soon!

Definitely one of my favorite stores to shop in. They offer a very large selection of craft beer on tap. The management and employees were very helpful on giving advice on which beer to choose from. They were very knowledgeable of their products and were very professional. Would definitely recommend.

I liked Rocky and shopped here before he sold it but the new owners are a full two steps above. Theyve remodeled the place so its more organized and clean, they fixed the kegs so if you want a growler to go its not 50% foam, and theyve improved the selection of liquor (at state minimum prices) to complement the beer selection thats already top notch. They feature lots of seasonal brews from local breweries and the big guys too (hey, sometimes you just wanna stock the fridge with a 15-pack of Miller Lite). Definitely my favorite beer store in FH/Liv

This place is the absolute best! I get a different whiskey/scotch/bourbon every two weeks and the owner always recommends them. The owner and his son are great guys, always super friendly. They are also filling growlers with some great beer! Go check them out!

Just the best craft beer store around. Between the selection and the helpfulness of the folks who run it, its easily my favorite place to find new brews. They have hundreds of single bottles for you to customize your own 6 pack and always have a lot of harder to find beers over near the cash register. Give them a visit!

This place is awesome all you need to know. If you are a craft beer lover then this is the place. Most stores in the Livonia area carry a fairly decent collection of craft brews but this place takes the cake. When I first walked in I was in awe of the crafts that are in the coolers. Five doors of just Michigan beers! Nice selection of warm 22oz and others from breweries all over. The staff is great and are know their beer. If they can get it in Michigan they will try and order for you. Just discovered this place recently and will go no where else. Perfect spot.

Huge selection, singles are offered here. The biggest draw for me is their hard cider selection. Many different makes and flavors.

Beer Baron is an excellent party store. The staff is extremely friendly and quite courteous. They carry all the expected brands of beer and liquor as well as an amazing array of craft beer and liquor, with an impressive selection of local products.In addition, they have a 28-tap growler fill station with a rotating selection of Michigan craft brews, some of which are not available in cans and bottles.

THE CRAFT BEER SELECTION!! Holy moly! I wish I lived closer to this place. Not only do they have probably 300 types of beer in bottles, they keep 20+ taps so they can fill howlers and growlers!The gentleman who helped us (perhaps the owner and/or manager) was extremely knowledgeable about the beers and offered many suggestions, all of which I took and am pleased to say were delicious beer flavors!I will be back, one day, because wow, all the beer. Such amaze.

Walked into the store, was stared at like I had 4 eyes in my forehead, was not greeted or welcomed, searched for a wine I couldnt find with no help and while they watched, finally show him a picture of the wine I was looking for, he said we dont have it! I STATED TO HIM, I MAY BE BLACK, BUT MY MONEY IS GREEN, I walked out the door, they still never said a word! These spirits!!!!!!!🙏

My go to place for beer. Great selection and an awesome owner, Rocky. Dont listen to comments about out of date beer. Unless its light American swill lagers and some low alcohol or wet hopped IPAs beer rarely goes bad on the shelf. Sometimes its hard to get rare beer here due to the huge following the Baron has but they always have a great selection and priced like any other specialty beer store.

I am completely overhauling my 1 star review as the gentleman that owned this place is now gone and in turn it is run by the nicest people around. Maverick is who I usually deal with. He is incredibly polite. Knowledgeable and actually cares about my business. All things the previous owner cared nothing about. They overhauled the store entirely. Updated the ABSURD pricing that was here and warm the place with fantastic customer service.

We really liked this place. The employees were extremely nice. They have a great assortment of local stuff as well as strange imports.Downside being that a lot of their stuff (both local stuff and boring stuff) is a bit more expensive than even just going to the grocery store.

Even after the new ownership, there beer is still dusty and flat.The people that run it are very nice, but your products are dusty and flat.Every other liquor store has no issue getting quality products easily but yet they seem to struggle with this.Would you buy fruit that was dusty and moldy? No, same as you wouldnt buy a beer that was dusty and flat when I come go 2 miles down and get quality products. I will be doing this for now on.

Great selection of imported beers from around the world. I was able to find Bitburger and Veltins from Germany which is not easy to get in the states. Make sure you check the expiration dates however as I did buy some beer that had expired months before.

Today i bought a sixer of my favorite beer from this store. finally someone was able to provide me with my fave brew (arcadia ales whitsun) without it being skunked and soured from mishandling!!! it tastes so delish when it is not ruined (unlike the picnic basket, which burned me TWICE!)i almost gave you minus 1 star because i wish it was $1-2 dollars less for the product. maybe when i make more $ i will care less about a six pack costing $13 and change, but im scraping by right now and i still happen to have good taste in wheat beers... so what is a guy to do?i also noticed some rather expensive but very enticing brews there which i have not tried yet... some triple wheats and such. i will keep the Beer Baron in mind when i want a special treat.thank you guys for helping me to finally have my favorite beer fresh and delish.
