Scott was the man I needed to talk to! I am about to start playing on a team and wanted to use my own gear instead of what the bar has to offer. I asked him for his advice as I have never purchased a cue for myself. He took the time to educate me on the different styles and builds and how each kind have their advantages. He guided me to one that he thought I would play better with as a beginner and not to the one that would bring him in the big cash. I am very happy that my first purchase was with Scott and would recommend everyone to stop by if you are in the pool community.

I found Scott to be professional, personable, and proficient. He clearly knows his stuff and was excited to share his experience and love of the game. He and his partner were thorough and paid attention to the details, measuring precisely and ensure the table/slate was perfectly level even though my floors arent. When the job was done, just over 2 hours or so, they cleaned up all the trash and left me and my family very happy. We are looking forward to hours of entertainment and visiting Scott in the showroom one day for a few hours of lessons.

The guys at Southern Billiards were great. They gave me a courtesy call when they we’re headed to get the pool table from the previous location and before they came to set it up at the new location. When they arrived, they asked before parking in the driveway and took off their shoes while working inside the home. The new Simonis camel cloth looks amazing. I’m glad I chose this company. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use them again.

I wanted to buy a new cue but had limited availability. I ended up trying to call on Labor Day to see if they were open, turns out they were going to be there until noon. I let them know I would get there very close to noon, Scott said no problem come in and take your time we will wait for you. I sent about 90 minutes there, never felt rushed, Scott answered all my questions. I will definitely buy from them again.

Excellent experience. Entire purchase process was done over the phone as I found the table I wanted on their website but had some questions. Talked to Scott, the owner, and he was able to answer any questions that I had and take my order. They came out to install the table the day after it was delivered to them, and stayed until almost 7:30 to get the installation done. Looks great and plays perfect.

They had to take the table apart and move it while we had some renovations done, then come back months later to move it back, re-cover it, take rails back to replace the cushions, and come back again to finish the job. Our World of Leisure 9ft is perfectly level, felt is tight with no creases, all of the felt in the pockets is folded very neatly, they truly are professionals. As a beginner I have been overwhelmed trying to research for my first cue purchase. I was afraid to order a cue online and hesitant to purchase one locally without being able to try it first. Visiting Southern Billiards was the right move! The wall of cues is impressive, large, and well organized. I was welcomed in and offered advice based on my needs, then left to look over the options myself...just the way I like it! Once I had a few I was interested in they set me up on a table to chalk up and hit a few balls to compare different cues at my pace. They were very patient with me, my questions, and my indecisiveness. After I made my decision they helped me get set up with the basic equipment. The whole experience was great from beginning to end.

I recently bought a wonderful, new pool table from Southern Billiards. A few years back I had them install rails and new cloth on my old 8 ft. table, and they did a great job. This time I wanted to step up and purchase a new, high-quality, regulation style table. Bryan recommended I try a new model they were carrying, the 9ft. Hans/Delta. Needed to have a hot tub moved due to a house being sold. Timing was important and Southern Billiards understood the timeline. They were able to get the move in their schedule within days of calling. Scott advised that they would call when they were on the way. They showed up on time with nice equipment built for the job. The move went great and kept us up to date on where they were and when they were going to be at the next location. When for sure use them for any other future moves!

My family & I have used Southern Billiards for years. They were knowledgable and patient and an overall huge help back in 2009 when my mom was picking out a pool table as a gift to my dad, 2012 when we moved from one house to another, 2015 when we moved again, 2020 when it moved from my moms house to my current house, 2021 when we needed it moved and stored in their warehouse for our basement to be finished and then brought back again 6 weeks later and rebuilt from scratch once the basement was completed. With the fine craftsmanship of the table combined with their expertise, youd never know this pool table has been moved 6 times! So needless to say, we have had several experiences with the fine employees of Southern Billiards! Each time weve required their assistance, theyve always been very friendly, knowledgable, and downright a joy to work with. Scott is a good, honest, hard working man, who does not hesitate to crack a few jokes along the way! Anytime we need anything pool table related, like short sticks or accessories, even dartboards, we head to Southern Billiards because we know that what we get when we walk in is quality products and a good time with what feels like good friends. We had a very good experience from start to finish working with Scott and his company. The showroom had plenty of options to look at and they were upfront about what was available to be delivered now and what would be on backorder. We chose a discounted/discontinued model and they delivered it on the exact date they scheduled, about 10 days later. Scott is very friendly and his crew do good work. They finished in a little over 2 hours and the table looks and plays great.

I just had my pool table recovered with Simonis 860. The installers, John and Leslie were very professional. They serviced my table as if it were their own and made sure everything was exactly right. Scott Carpenter is my go to local Technician when I work done on my pool cues, which in my case usually amounts to putting on a new tip. His shop is filled with wonderful tables, pool cues, cases, pool balls, and accessories. The shop occasionally hosts major stars of the pool world such as 8x World Champion LoreeJon Hasson and Johnny Archer for free clinics and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommended!

Simply the best at what they do. We had to move and store our pool table while we built our new home. Their movers were completely professional in taking down the pool table, storing it, and setting it up in our new place. Kept it stored in great condition for 9 months and had no trouble handling and leveling all 1,100 lbs. of it. On time and efficient. I called to have a couple cues looked at. The shafts were in horrible shape. Very dirty. Never been cleaned before. I came in and dealt with Scott. He was very informative and friendly. He offered to clean and seal them. He also showed me a break jump sl cue and allowed me to test it out while he cleaned my pool cues. When he was done I couldnt tell they were mine. Scott from Southern Billiards was great to deal with. We have a 3 piece slate outdoor pool table that is very heavy. I needed it moved before we sold our house and Scott was able to fit me into his very busy schedule. He sent me a quote, we agreed on price, he arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and diligent in his relocation of my table. I think some people just assume you can pick up a pool table and set it back down in the new location and it is ready to play. This is not the case if you want it done correctly.
