Normally it is very good food, very fast service but today we sat for nearly two hours to get all of our parties food. No one came to ask if we needed more drink in the two hours we were there. They were not really all that busy.
Nice quaint Cafe, perfect for our ladies outing. Wonderful service and tastey lunch. The caramel cake was my pick for dessert and I was not disappointed, it was so good!
Just had lunch there and it was okay but nothing stood out as exceptional. Not the best catfish. Hushpuppies were good. Mac and cheese was okay, potato salad okay. A filling meal, didnt go away hungry. The Carmel pecan bar was average. Not bad but we wont hurry back.
Food was OK but the server was almost non existence. My tea glass was empty and had chicken breast and only a fork to eat it with a knife would have been nice.

Well this time it was a little off got a boneless 🥩 porkchop it was nothing but fat no meat..dressing had burnt pieces in it..but they do have good food.just a bas experience this time.
The burger while fantastic was about he only great thing about Cafe on Main. All the other food we had was exceptionally bland. The plate specials they served for lunch were completely sold out by 1230 and they only opened at 11. Our waitress was unfortunately dreadful. Never brought what we asked for and kept stopping to chat with another table. So if youre looking for a good burger and arent particular about service this is the place for you.
Pretty good stuff. I need to try their legendary burgers sometime. No refills on cokes, though, which is unusual in this day and age. Still recommend, nonetheless!

Not coming back. Service was very poor and the few items on their menu weren’t good. The main issue was the service. The waitress seemed like she had no interest in being there. It’s a kind of place that you circle what you want on the printed paper menu and hand it in instead of interacting with your server. Totally fine if it worked, but it didn’t. All of the confusion could have been handled up front if she had picked up on the first sign of us being brand new to the restaurant and explained their system. She did not, rather she elected to run back and forth in the store handling only one request or question at a time. Wasting time and her own sanity to where she was rolling her eyes at our requests. I use to serve and I know customers can be frustrating, especially when they are new to the restaurant, but there was no need for any of this to be so bad.
Cafe on main is by far the best local restaurant in Columbus! Too many restaurants try to imitate genuine southern soul food, but Cafe on main delivers with homemade just like momma meals every time. My personal favorite menu items are the poppy seed chicken and fried chicken; theyre perfect for that after church lunch that you dont have to cook yourself.
They have great southern food, as long as you have a little salt and pepper on your table. Tastes like a slightly higher grade Farmstead/Country Kitchen.
So so good. Wonderful service and it’s old school, no frills, focus on the simple fare and good service and the do both well. Can’t beat anything they serve.

This is the place to go to if you want delicious down-home comfort foods. The food is so satisfying. Then you enter the Sweets Shop only to lose yourself in all those scrumptious treats! Yummy!!!
Fried Chicken was great. Cornbread was more like a souffle or quiche; so I didnt care much for it. Collard greens were good though.
Fresh Southern food.
It is not the same. Coworkers went 5.23.19, no grilled chicken, and the fried chicken was hard and dry. Then, we didnt know the gratuity was included in price until we got ready to pay, and had left tips on the table. Let the customers know before tips are left. Service was ok.
Ive never had a bad experience here. Chicken salad is great and the fruit is always fresh. Their hours are limited so I dont get in as often as Id like.
Tasty hamburger. At my second visit, sweet potato fry was overcooked. Good for group, they have lots of space.

Good home cooking and the deserts are very good. Service was slow around lunch, but the place was packed. Cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce wasnt great and didnt seem homemade.

Had such high hopes for this place, terribly let down. The place is not that big and they had plenty of waitresses but it took so long to get service. We finally were able to get the waitresses attention and have her explain the menu to us. The food was not bad, generous proportions. Trying to pay was yet another long wait and then when we finally get to the register the man taking payments answers the phone and walks away, no hello, Ill be right with you nothing at all. It seems they cared more about the locals in there then anything else, which I get, Im from a small town but keep in mind they arent the only ones in there paying money. We got the recommendation to go from someone in town and although the food was good the lack of service and just plain common courtesy killed it.
