Will was very nice and helpful.UPDATE!!!!! My husband snapped at the female working there because our move has been a nightmare. He had his shirt off because it is crazy hot inside and outside. He apologized and she said it was fine. She refuses to give me 24 access and actually asks me why I need it. She only gave it to me for one weekend. How do I get it permanently? If I cant I get and I keep getting an attitude Ill jget a storage building somewhere else because of the attitude from her. She is very unfriendly. I like Will but no one else seems to be there but her.

This place is the BEST storage I’ve ever seen, anywhere in the country....and I’ve moved around a lot!!! It is always spotless - seriously, there’s not even dust!!! The staff are extremely helpful (Maxine is great), the billing is online, the prices are competitive, and there are always (working) carts available. I would, and do, recommend Safeguard Self Storage. They have great security and I feel like my belongings are safe.

I prepaid through June and ended up leaving at the end of May, they were very kind and refunded the month for me. Everything was clean and I felt my stuff was safe the whole time (even with the cheap lock I brought myself)

The garage door was being left open the security door was being left open. So there was no security at all. A former boyfriends family member walked right in with the stolen combination to my lock and stole valueable things and a lot of them. The video TVs are obviously for show. I wouldnt put my stuff there if my life depended on it. They are wreckless

We decided to close the account after numerous attempts to contact corporate to inform them that the increase in monthly costs of $176 was getting too exorbitant for our needs. The staff working at the storage facility itself were absolutely amazing people, its just unfortunate after years of renting that communication and costs were our reasons for leaving.

Maxine is great. Very friendly and helpful. I really wanted to recommend this facility because its clean, well heated/cooled and the staff is absolutely amazing.

I researched several places online before I stopped at Safeguard. I was so pleased with the facilities and Jackie the manager that I rented on the spot. No need to go anywhere else.Unparalleled customer service and facility. Jim the assistant manager has been awesome as well. An extremely clean facility with a variety of units to choose from. I never had a single problem, but the staff was amazing and I knew they would help me if I ever did have an issue. It was a great experience and I am only leaving because myself and my safely stored items are moving out of state.

The facility is extremely clean & well managed. The staff is very friendly - always available and ready to help. I feel safe while there so I appreciate the extra security they provide. Thats a huge plus. There are always plenty of carts and even the other tenants seem polite! I couldnt recommend it more!

I used them for my business storage needs and they were exceptional! I love the access hours, and if we ever needed help they were more than helpful. It was sad to leave, but I no longer needed the space due to a home purchase. Highly recommended!

The service here is extraordinary. Its one of the main reasons Ive rented from this facility for years. They are also clean, safe and they keep things at a comfortable climate. But its really the kind, professional staff which stands out. I rarely leave reviews, but felt it appropriate to share these things with anybody out there looking for a good storage solution. You cant go wrong at this facility - they really are awesome here.

All inside storage, facility is kept clean, temperature controlled, secure access. Employees are human beings. I have never been treated poorly.

Extremely clean facility and helpful staff! After touring a neighboring storage facility that was dirty with bugs and water infiltration, Safeguard Storage was a breath of fresh air. It is well maintained and pristine. The staff even offered me a typed out list of recommendations for things to check out in my new city, going above and beyond typical service.

This is the cleanest storage facility ever! It literally smells like it is mopped hourly. Everything is well kept. You can tell they take pride in where they work! The staff is excellent and very attentive.

The service here is absolutely outstanding. I recommend it VERY highly to anyone in the area interested in self storage. The staff is extremely friendly and personable, yet entirely professional and efficient. Everyone seems to go out of their way to help, especially Debbie, the manager. There always seems to be carts available to move things out or in with and Ive personally seen the staff routinely ensuring the aisles are clear of debris. Everything is as exceptional as it could possibly be. Both Debbie, the manager and Tiffany, the assistant manager go above and beyond to make sure youre 1000% satisfied. They both do a wonderful job. I rarely write reviews, but I felt this one was more than deserved. Deb offers the rare type of 1-on-1 service thats very hard to find these days. Ive been renting here for a while and I would recommend it to anyone I know!

I have been a long time customer here. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. I cannot switch to another facility because the staff here are the best! Gil, Jackie, and Jim!!! Rates are fairly decent! If I have an issue, we work together to solve it.

We used Safeguard Self Storage in Lombard to store our furniture during the remodeling of our home. We visited the facility first, as we were looking for a location that was climate controlled and secure. We were greeted by the facilitys amazingly friendly manager, Gil Beres. We toured the facility and were impressed by the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. Safeguard was so easy to work with, and because most of our possessions would be stored there during the duration of our remodeling project security was a top priority. Overall, we were impressed by Gil and his staff and the facility itself.

I checked out other storage places in the area and this is by far the best option. It just felt nicer. The prices are reasonable and the people who work there seemed really friendly and helpful.

Ive paid multiple visits here to help friends and family move their items into/out of storage. This place is very clean, safe, and secure. It may not seem like it at first but the place is very well lit. A hallway may appear dark but they use automatic lights that turn on when you get close to it, then the entire area is lit. They use steal mesh ceilings on each unit so no one can take a ladder and steal your stuff. Each unit comes with an alarm too.Aside from the units, they have 4 carts available which makes moving a breeze. The staff always goes above and beyond and makes sure your needs are met. They are very personable and great to work with. For the price you pay, youre definitely getting your moneys worth and more. I would strongly recommend this place for your storage needs.

Nice guy set us up there, names Mitch or Rick or something (sorry, not good with names). Very cool, easy going. Came back to move somee stuff in and there was another guy there, kinda short, a bit on the heavier side (Im short and could lose a few myself), never asked his name. Things started O.K. but got a bit weird. He kept creating excuses to come around and look into our unit. I joked about it to one of the other people there....who pretty much said hes got that rep. Maybe trying to be MegaCop? very nosy. Were moving furniture not setting up a meth lab....Other than that, everything was alright. Fair prices. Place is clean and they keep it cool in your unit when its hot outside.

They put electricity into my unit for my work fridge, and have always been accommodating for all of my shipment issues! The staff is super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers!!

This facility is kept very clean. The office staff is almost always on hand. Units are pretty well lit from the general lighting above (units have caged ceilings).

Dear Prospective Customer of Safeguard Storage Lombard:Since 1982 I have rented innumerable storage units across the country. Ten years ago I found Safeguard. No other facility can touch it. Weather never matters. You drive into a heated garage, leave your car there, walk by the office and its friendly staff, punch a couple of numbers, and you are in. No waiting for elevators. Because of the open floor plan, there are never any bottlenecks. The place is climate controlled and well lit, and you can stay as long as you want. I have enjoyed the added privilege of 24 hour access, and more recently, the new deep carts that allow me to move an entire carload of material in one trip.One recommendation is to add a hotel cart for carrying clothes on hangers.Moving can be a stressful time of life; a customer appreciates every assurance and courtesy. I would rate the Lombard Store Manager, Mr. Gil Beres, as A+. Over the years, as my storage requirements increase and decrease, he has always taken time to review an array of options and locations. He hires and trains assistant managers very well. His newest associate, Ms. Angela Lopez, is top notch. I understand that his Lombard store has one of the highest occupancy rates of all stores in the Safeguard Storage network--this should surprise no one.But Mr. Benes has a gift that goes beyond one-on-one customer service. He is so good at screening customers that the locker mates I encounter are as friendly as he is! He has created an atmosphere of cooperation and good will where all of us want to help each other and take care of the facility.As much as I would miss him at the Lombard facility, I do hope that Safeguard recognizes Mr. Beres’ outstanding people skills, his attention to detail, his dedication to his job, and promotes him. Storage is a competitive market in my area (Lombard/Villa Park). Safeguard is doing the right things; good facility, management and incentives.
