I immediately felt relaxed around her. It was my favorite experiences and the my dress were all so comfortable and very Beautiful.Plus Maggie was quick answering my messages and questions. So happy that my Man and I found the one that we both like and we were able to support a small, local business during Pandemic time.

House of Brides and Tuxedo shop in Torrance has the most unique and elegant wedding dresses. Maggie (the owner) is very sweet, patient and very knowledgeable. She listens to your specific style need carefully and provides you with the dresses that best describes the style you are looking for. Even the it is a small family store she carries unique wedding gowns from a range of famous designers and her prices are very reasonable. I found the most beautiful and elegant dress. I saw it once and I had to buy it. I was getting compliments the whole day and still getting it from people who sees my wedding pictures.

I would recommend buy a bridal gown form this location. Great selection. But the alterations were wene incorrectly several times. When I asked for adjustment s I was told I was a picky bride. It took 4 alterations and I still had to take it somewhere else to get fixed costly me alit of extra money. Each time something needed to be fixed we were charged even though it should have been fixed correctly the first time. I am not one to even review anything however my dress for my wedding has been a nightmare and I dont feel pretty in it anymore do to all the problems with the tailoring. The first during I was told I gained wait. Which is just not true I am 51 and weight is 105. I have been the same size for years and never have had an issue with something like this before. Second fitting I could not sit or walk in my dress and I was told that how these dress are. I could go on more but the point is if your dress needs tailored take it to someone you trust.

My mom and I was actually planning to go to 2 different bridal stores in Torrance and this store was one of them. Unfortunately, this store was going to open at 11; therefore, we thought of going to the other one first. But for some reason, I felt I needed to wait for this shop to open and I had to go here. I am soooooo glad I did! In my opinion, I feel like it was meant to be (with my instinct and with God guidance!) because I found a dress!!! I actually had a dress already; however, it did not meet my expectations. It was a cute dress; however, I believe I was rushed to get that dress by the consultant. In other words, I did not have the bridal moment when I wore that dress because I didnt even say YES to it. When I saw the dress at this particular store, I DEFINITELY felt that bridal moment! I did try 2 dresses before it; however, third one was the charm!!Ms Maggie is the BEST person ever! She was an AWESOME store owner & consultant! I told her what I was looking for and she gave me ideas and showed me examples.I appreciate what she did to help me out and made me feel like a very important person! When we got to the store, it was noisy and under construction; however, she still helped me out 100%! Im also appreciative that she was caring about me being on a budget on my upcoming November wedding! What she told me, if your happy, Im happy! Made me feel that going to her store first was the right thing to do!!Overall, I found the PERFECT dress there and I would like to thank Ms Maggie for that!

Best place in town for a designer dress

I absolutely would recommend this to any bride. Overall excellent service and the seamstress is AMAZING!!!

I love my dress and they have very nice selection.she is very nice and helpful. but not so great for the alteration. she just cut the top of shoulder to adjust the length of the bodicse without thinking all the body parts. so the breast part is way to high and have to pull the breast. because of very low cut for both front and back, i can not wear any bra. so it was awful fit. i should have bring it to some other place for the alteration.

I had an amazing experience working with Maggie to get my wedding dress. I had so much anxiety and little help in choosing my dress, so I had to go off my instincts. I tried a dress off the rack that fit right and committed to it. I was given 15% off since it was off the rack, a discount on the hem and free bustles! The dress was the favorite thing about how I looked and I absolutely loved it! Thank you Maggie!

Maggie helped me out from start to finish! She gave me and my bridesmaids a very good deal on our dresses! I believe she loves whats she does and is great at it! I had an Allure beaded gown and had a corset sowed into it, and Maggui was able to add it as per my request, thank you House of Brides and Tuxedos for providing my beautiful gown and beautiful dresses for my gals! My day was super special!

This is the first online review I have ever made but this company is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I felt compelled to help others avoid all the problems I had to deal with. First I was the best man in my brothers wedding and had no choice but to use this company. The tux I rented was $140 w/o shoes and was the cheapest tux I have ever tried on. Not being able to get down there I went to Mens Warehouse to get my measurements and sent it to her. Once the tux came in 2 days before the wedding she told me if I didnt get down there I was not able to make alterations. I was forced to leave work early on Wed and drove 2 hours to finally arrive at her shop in Torrance. I was pressed for time and I was supposed to be in a rehearsal / dinner that evening in Anaheim. Unfortunately she was out to lunch and was late to come back by 40 mins. When she finally showed up I tried on the tux and all the measurements were wrong and off by 1 +. She then proceeded to make the alterations on the pants and jacket while I waited and they still didnt turn out right. I had no choice but to accept and leave so I could try to show up on time to the rehearsal. After a 1 1/2 hour drive in the worst traffic possible I missed the rehearsal and had to just show up to the dinner. From this point on the wedding went well and upon return of the tux, 3 weeks later I get a surprise charge of $100 in my account. Whats this? A late fee because I wasnt able to return it the next day. She called me and harassed me about the money because I blocked my acct. Maggie is so rude she also charge my other brother that came all the way down from Texas. He is in the Army and just got deployed to Jordon and was not able to fight this charge. Low and behold she somehow still was able to charge my card and threatened me several times with suing me if she did not get the money. I hope she is happy with the extra money and the horrible review she is going to get from me. If there was a way to give her negative stars I would. Hope all will read this and avoid the headaches the whole weeding party had to deal with!!!
