LB Family Optometry is the most pleasant doctors office I can recall going to. I have been going here for nearly 5 years (just annually or to consult about contacts / glasses) and they are always professional, friendly, and on time. They explain everything (including if it is not covered by insurance) and eagerly answer all my questions. Even before Covid, the office was the picture of cleanliness! I highly recommend them.

The Optometrist is really great. Very thorough, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. The lenses and frames can be on the pricier side, so checking around online can yield some substantial savings. Overall good experience.

Extremely pleased with this office. From the optometrist Dr. Pham, to the optician, to the front desk staff, everyone is wonderful! Exceptionally clean office, everything modern, in working order, and in its place. And they work fast! I would definitely recommend!

This has been my familys optometrist for several years now and we love it. Dr Prasad is knowledgeable and truly cares about the overall health of his patients. The Optomap is a spectacular tool that he uses to keep us healthy and aware of our overall progression with every aspect of our health. The staff is kind and patient as well. They sanitize the glasses after you pick out your frames and the upgrades to the office are outstanding. They do exercise covid guidelines also. If you are searching for a new optometrist make an appointment today!....no Im not a bot. I do believe in his eye care! 👁 🤗🤭😋

Unfortunately, the front desk staff is not friendly or helpful in comparison to previous staff. I walked in to a sterile and unfriendly staff. Dr. Prasad is always warm and accommodating. It is unfortunate that his front office staff does not reflect his appreciation for patients.

*update* In Response to the reply you are missing the point. Had the prescription been accurate showing the correct prescription with the correct expiration date I would have been able to get my contacts as the prescription would not be expired when I went to purchase. As I would have a valid prescription. Based off what you guys gave me (expiration sept 30) I went to get my contacts. If I’d known it was sept 3 because of you initial error I would have went before it expired to get the contacts. I’ve had the same prescription since high school and go every year to renew and paid the exam fee just to get same prescription and never had a problem.When I first went here I found the people and doctor great. But now I find them inconsiderate, incompetent and greedy. Recently I asked for a copy of my prescription on August 30 so that I could order contacts before my prescription expired. It was sent to me and gave me an expiration date of September 30th. When trying to buy my contacts I was informed of a typo in the prescription as one of the numbers was supposed to be 8.4 and not 8.5 and needed it fixed before I could get the contacts at Costco (today - September 7). Called them to get it fixed and they sent it to me but now with an expiration date of September 3. I called and was told the originally expiration of 9/30 was also a typo and that to purchase contacts I needed to come in for a new exam as my prescription was now expired. Right now when money is tight I wanted to stock up on contacts so I didn’t have to spend another couple hundred for an exam and based on original expiration I had time to purchase contacts. Then to have the expiration changed to a prior date and told its now expired and now I’m left with an expired prescription and no contacts unless I pay for another exam. Had they put the correct date I would have gotten my contacts before it expired but conveniently it was incorrect and I had already went past the exp date by a couple days. I find it super greedy of them to expect me to pay for another exam when they gave me an incorrect prescription expiration date.

I had the BEST experience here! After looking for a pediatric optometrist who would see my son (7 years old with Down syndrome), we landed here. Dr. Parasaud was AWESOME! He was very patient and very nice and very thorough! All the staff was very friendly and welcoming! The office was clean and everyone took the extra steps to sanitize as well! I would definitely recommend anyone with small children here!!

Dr. Prasad is the best optometrist we have ever had. For adults and teens it’s like talking to a trusted friend- he asks about how you’ve been and he has a genuine interest in your well-being, as well as you eye health. For kids, he is akin to the fun camp counselor- he has a fun and light way of engaging them and listens when they want to share something. He is on the cutting edge with the eye health and he even has his own line of frames now. Dr. Prasad and his staff make everything easy!

Dr. Prasad and his staff are great. Very professional but friendly. Their office is extremely clean and comfortable and they’ve taken all precautions necessary during these crazy times. The only complaint is that the frames are expensive—it seems that all frames are designer. I’ve been coming here for years, though, so I can’t compare that to other offices and even though frames are costly, I think it’s worth it to have a Dr. you can trust with something as important as your vision.

After I made my reservation I received a few reminder texts about my appointment which I really do appreciate.I was also sent a link to fill out my Office paperwork prior to My visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful and to me buying glasses is like buying a car. There are different choices in frames, lenses etc. The staff was not pushy when it came time for me to purchase my glasses. They explained my choices and gave me the cost then let me decide what I wanted.I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a quality eye doctor.

Dr Prassad is phenomenal! He was so thorough. It was my boy’s first exam ever and he is fantastic with children. As a father of 2 little ones, he very well knows how to relate to kids.Unfortunately i cannot say the same from the lady at the front in charge of the glasses and insurance. She has no personality and simply is very unpleasant. Not sure if she was having a hard day but she seemed annoyed about the whole process.It is unfortunate she takes away from the amazing service the rest of the staff does.Monica, the secretary at the front is so kind and polite.Thanks for trying to balance it for us.

I have always loved going to this office. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. My visit yesterday was great! They had all measures in place for Covid. I waited outside and had to text to go inside. There was clear signage of how to do that and a great seating area. When I went in they took my temperature and had me sit off on my own. The rest of the visit continued with the social distancing and Covid precautions. Once again, the doctor and the staff were amazing on this visit.

So I have been in Long Beach for about 8 years now, and I refused to go to a new optometrist because I had been going to mine back home since I was in her second grade. I decided recently it would be just more convenient to find a reliable optometrist here and I happens to find Dr. Prasad at Long Beach Family Optometry. Let me just say do not hesitate, he was beyond friendly and helpful through the whole appointment. He explained everything very well and was very professional. The staff of girls there were all very nice and welcoming. I honestly felt like I had been going there for years with how nice everyone was. The technology available was unlike anything I had seen before, as my other optometrist was just old school with that he had in his office. While I still admire my old optometrist, I’m glad to have found something closer to me and reliable. Definitely plan to continue to come here.

I came in during COVID because my eyes have been especially dry and irritated since I started working from home. The service was exactly what I expected. Everyone was wearing a mask and everyone coming in had their temperature checked. I felt very safe. Thank you for the quick and easy service during these difficult times. Working from home will be so much easier with my eye drops!

We all know glasses are expensive so you may as well have a first class experience at the opto. I had a great experience with staff and Dr. Prasad. The doctor was sensitive to the fact there were significant changes in my vision and that I would need either two sets of glasses or progressive lenses, explaining the pros/cons of both. Great place great service great vision

Our family has been seeing Dr. Prasad for years (my husband and I first started seeing him 9 years ago and our sons have both been seeing him since they were about 3-4 years old). Dr. Prasad is probably the nicest person on the planet, my children love him and always comment on how nice he is. His office is very modern/clean, lots of state of the art technology and a large selection of glasses. Every exam we have had with him was thorough, he doesnt rush the appointments and seems to really care about our vision. My son and I both wear glasses and have been very pleased with our prescriptions. I cannot recommend him enough. His staff is friendly and weve never had to wait for our appointments (or for our glasses to be ready).
