Was super excited to come here to the Potholder. Every time I drive by there seems to be a line. So, wife and i decided to give it a try for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday morning.We arrived about 1030am. Signed in, waited about 30 min, then we were seated. We sat in a pretty spacious patio out back. The place was running on all cylinders!First thing I notice is that service is tip top. Everyone was very efficient, pleasant and helpful. Second thing i notice is that even is very clean and organized. With limited space its very helpful. And finally tho is an amazing space for families with little kids and open enough for strollers!However, one looming issue with my wife and i was the food. I dont know if this was just an off day, but besides the hash browns, everything we ordered seemed bland from the coffee ($3.25 with free refills), hot chocolate, mimosas (($10.95) and bloody Mary ($10.95)to the tall stack of banana nut pancakes. I placed an order for Maritime loco Moco ($13.45) to share with my daughter. Not sure how they make brown gravy but it underwhelmed and tasted like it came from a can or box. Eggs Florentine ($11.95) that my wife ordered were pretty decent, especially the hash browns. But the main part of the dish also underwhelmed. Hollandaise sauce was bland for me. And finally the tall stack of pancakes ($10.95) with banana nut ($1.95) cooked in. Portions was huge, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, but texture and flavor wise i bit chewy. Not sure if it was the nuts or walnuts cooked in that made it chewy, but my wife and forced ourselves to eat about 1/2 the order whole we just left the other half.There are definitely a number of other items on the menu that i would otherwise try. I dont know of Id order the same things again.All in all, not sure what the hype here is. For me, service is excellent but food for me wasnt worth the price. However, come an try for yourself and see. Happy eating!
Food is great, staff are friendly. They forgot to give me my drink with my order. So at the end of the meal after I was all full when the check came I told her I didnt get my drink...instead of taking it off the bill she brought me the drink to go...😆 I brought it home full and didnt even drink it 🤷♀️
We loved the breakfast menu, omlette with bacon and avacados with toast. Its my husbands favorite place while we are in Long Beach.The service is super, absilutely the best, from the time you go in you are made to feel special.Its a great choice for any time you are hungry.
1st time here. Really good food and service. They have a variety of foods. Server was very attentive in keeping my cup of coffee full and hot. Outdoor seating with shade.

This place has a cute outdoor dining area very ample and fresh. The food portions are big. I ordered the Chilaquiles which were good but they do go a little over board with the starchy potatoes. Ill be going back soon to give those Stuffed French Toast a try.

Costumer Service 10/10 food came fast and it was I don’t know ow what was it out of this world they put drugs in it . Overall great experience oh and it was cheap reasonable price went on Thursday there was plenty of food.

Waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. We had a fairly large party, separated by three tables that were managed well; normal wait times. Wednesday breakfast special was cheap and filling; couldnt even eat it all...well I did have same of friends potatoes 🤔🤷🏾♀️. Basic waffle, egg, 🥓 or sausage. Outdoor seating and they have a dog patio which is cool. Plan to return for unlimited mimosas one day!
Weve come here many times and have never been disappointed. Service is always fantastic. Menu has original options like fruity pebbles type fruit toast, bacon and jalapeno wrapped chicken fried steak. Also great gluten free pancakes and alternative options for special diets and food allergies. There is a parking lot for customers, as well as street parking.
Great food, great service, very nice ambiance, the servers go above and beyond to make you comfortable, parking is challenging but is worth the challenge!

Good lawrd this place is good. My vegan friend turned me on to this place and after he eats he orders more to go because he loves it so much. I am indeed a meet eater and there regular food lol is also great.
May not look like much, but the food and the service is top notch. Have only been their for breakfast several times and our family was always satisfied. Very nice staff that care about their customers.

Nice place for a Monday morning breakfast... service was friendly and enjoyed my corned beef hash with gravy, choc chip pancakes were OK. All seating is currently outdoors, but plenty of cover for shade!

Great outdoor patio. Great food on any day, but we usually visit on the weekend for the mimosas. Saturday is bottomless mimosa day.

Delish!!! Only place to go for breakfast in Long Beach for us from this day forward. Bubbly and efficient waitress with the colorful hair was excellent and so was the food. We will be back tomorrow and every chance we get. Dont miss this place!

One of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time! Omelette and potatoes were delicious! And the Bacon Bloody Mary hit the spot! Great food, great service! It’s a place I’ll definitely return to when in town!

Food was very good this time. It usually is tasty but when taking togo be careful to ensure you get the needed condiments, they have slacked on this a couple times. I usually do togo but the outdoor seating is nice to do as well. Service was pretty rough over the phone this last time, she seemed very annoyed, unaccomodating, rushed, and abrupt. I couldnt help but respond in the same annoyed tone in an attempt to help her hear how she sounded, after a few questions like, is that it? that was asked three times after each item i added to my order. Was not very impressed and figure if they want to keep loyal customers they should hear about this- hopefully manager reads and passes on.

This place has awesome breakfast options!! Anything that has to do with eggs, Mexican and American style, some pretty creative combinations for Hawaiian, vegetarian, and vegan too. The food is delicious, and plentiful! Just awesome brunch/breakfast place! The patio is dog friendly, the tables are well positioned, with a fire pit and warmer lamps. The servers take care of you! And youve got that family friendly atmosphere that made me feel welcomed right from the start.

Great little breakfast spot! My husband and I have eaten here a few times now in the dog-friendly patio. Its smallish inside, but there are a lot of tables out back with plenty of heat for chilly mornings. They always bring out a little bowl of water for our pup and they keep the mimosas flowing on Saturdays.Its literally my new favorite breakfast spot.We had Silvia as a server this morning and she was the absolute best! She handled her huge section gracefully and attentatively. There was an upset customer at a table nearby us and Silvia diffused the situation in no time.Great food, great drink specials, and great people. Well be back every Saturday forever.

The best French toast in long beach and its not even close! The Apple flaky French toast is leaps and bounds better than anything else youll find nearby. The flavor is great and the texture is great. Now on top of the great food all of the servers are very nice. They do a good job of staying attentive to your table even during busy times. I always make it a point to stop here and eat as often as possible.

Sunday morning breakfast was great. I got the couch and only ate half. I will be enjoying the rest of it later but I wanted to have a case of all of it. They serve coffee while we were waiting which is great. The dog-friendly patio with nice and I like that they clearly explain the rules of allowing dogs on the patio.

This place was amazing. We just landed at long beach airport and found this place. If you are in the area its well worth the drive. All plates we had were fantastic! The chicken fried steak was amazing. And they have a cinnamon roll pancake that was the best. We will definitely go again when we are in town.

This place is a great brunch place. I recommend check out their weekly specials on the back of the menu because there are some good deals. Warning...their regular pancakes are HUGE. The portions are all huge too for an afordable price too.

I passed this place up for years and always said if go one day. Finally stopped in for breakfast yesterday and was not disappointed. The pancakes were unique and very good. The Mexican omelette was good although the steak could use a little more tendering. Overall great place. Highly recommend.

This is my FAVORITE breakfast place! From french toast to coffee, everything is delicious! My go-to are the flaky french toast... but beware they give you a lot. I can only finish half, but they are delicious nonetheless. They have great outdoor seating, and its dog friendly!

The potholder was amazing food. They have the best menu and put all of your favorite breakfast foods and put it on one plate. They have huge portions so i would recommend showing up hungry. The prices were decent for the amount of food and they have a great patio. We will certainly be back when we are in the area.
A popular local breakfast place with three locations. Good for family or groups.We went to the one in Long Beach.Ordered a Denver omelette, disappointing. It was dry and that did it for me. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, she was happy. Over served a good amount of home fried potatoes that looked more like hash, but tasted good. I substituted mine with a cup of fruit Waitress was attentive and the order came fast. Lots of locals and the outside patio and inside was almost full at 845 am. Thirty five dollars with one coffee for my wife plus tip. I dont believe they give seniors a discount. Dennys gives you 15 percent with an AARP card. Endless Mimosas on the weekends for 8.99.
Got the breakfast burrito plate. Probably thee best breakfast i ever had. I had to force myself to finish the plate. And i never, ever bring food home. My wife and daughter like it here too. So we will be returning

The food was great, I got the Mr. Potato head, it was delicious. My wife got a waffle and sausage, the waffle was a little cold, I could tell that was the first thing made. But the sausage was scrumptious. The host was chill, and the server was OK. She looked like she was having a bad day, but was fairly attentive to us. I would go back
A legit establishment!!! When with my mom. She is picky because she can make quality meals at home so picking a restaurant is always difficult. I got the Wednesday waffles with banana - nut topping and my mom got the grand omelet (I think). They were both very good! The service was also superb.

Great service, great coffee, and great food. The place has a nice atmosphere and good music. They have a cute little outdoor patio that was covered in the winter with patio heaters. The portions were also huge, plenty to being home for later!
Good breakfast spot. Theres a big menu and its hard to decide what you want! Usually there is a wait but it goes by fast. Saturdays they have bottomless mimosas for an extra $10. Pretty good deal!
