Store is different from other BIG y but I guess its a good thing
Simply the best! Great produce, great organic selection, great staff, great selections overall, and they do so many altruistic things to help the community directly : big Y is amazing. You’re lucky if you have a big Y in your neighborhood!
Love this place! Small size makes it easy to remember where your favorite items are, in order to get in and out quickly. Good sales prices too.
I found the most beautiful little plants for $ 3.99 toadd to my garden.. So I brought 9What deal😅
Friendly store employees. Aisles seem pretty full of merchandise
A great experience every time I visit. The produce section always looked well stocked and fresh, the bakery section is small but filled with a variety of cakes, pies, and cookies. The rest of the store is well maintained, and the butcher is extremely kind and helpful.
The Big Y is a town gem. Although smaller than some of its other stores, one can still find EVERYTHING at Longmeadow location. The produce is outstanding, always very fresh. Store makes use of local growers. Great selection of different breads. Love the cranberry walnut. The Big Y handled and handles the Covid crisis in a professional safe manner. I have felt comfortable shopping there during the crisis. The staff is very helpful and friendly as well.
I love the Produce dept; so many beautiful fruits and vegetables. I do wish theyd carry some low carb/keto breads/rolls/muffins. They have none that I could find; theyre missing a chance to make a lot of money not carrying them.
Very clean store, produce is very fresh, delish bakery items. Very organized floor markings for social distancing. Plenty of staff available.
Will gladly leave a better review when Big Y STOPS encouraging bringing in reusable bags (that may or may not be contaminated with COVID 19) and stops penalizing the public by making us pay for bags when we rightly and smartly opt to leave our germs at home.
Very overpriced. Prices raised 250 percent for max profit.
It was great . the staff was so helpful in finding what I needed. And sugestion. What was the better product I needed for my perpous. Great job big y.
Good customer service!
Clean and well stocked .
I like how it is organized
The Big Y here is very nice on the inside, as they have renovated and updated it very recently. This Big Y in particular has got a Costco feel, with food and other activities. The one issue I see is the parking is a little tight, and the outside look is just a little old and boring.Overall it is a nice place to go get groceries and a slice of pizza or sandwich.
After a year avoiding Big Y, I returned only to find things worse. Aldis, Stop n Shop, and Walmart, in that order- are better. Aldis is MUCH better (and friendlier).
This is one of the only big ys with multple gluten and dairy free options. Well organized and tidy, staff is friendly.
Great local store. Always willing to help there customers.
They actually stock their shelves. And their produce to top shelf.
This Big Y just gets better and better each visit. The remodel is beautiful, and I love the prepared food they now have available. This is by far the nicest Big Y in the area.
Always this people there make your day keep up guys
They had a variety cheesecake platter, just what I was looking for last minute!
All areas were well stock except paper goods. I wonder when that will be restocked. Someone disinfecting all the time. Everyone was being cautious and following the rules.
Night and day between a well run store and a poorly run one.
Always a pleasant place to go they have a really wide variety of organic non-GMO products that I really enjoy the staff is mostly pleasant but some of the customers are very snooty but overall I enjoy going there and since the Coronavirus they have really maintain their cleanliness distancing
Great fish and chips
Longmeadow Big Y is great, but if you have a real big order, and want variety, go to East Longmeadow Big Y....
Great local grocery store that carries the items youll need. After some renovating, the store has expanded and looks beautiful, while also adding new features. The prepared soups are always fresh and delicious, and the bakery section has a variety of breads and pastries. Nice produce section, and great savings when using a Big Y member card.
Old and run down. Big Y should go to the nearest Whole Foods and take a lot of notes...decor, products, everything. As is, I drive up to Amherst rather than shop here. Seriously Big Y step it up. The “renovations” you’re doing on the store are a perfect picture to illustrate the old adage “lipstick on a pig”.
This Big Y is amazing in their presentation of not only the produce, but the entire store. It is very inviting. All shelves are ALWAYS stocked fully. The staff are very curteous and knowledgeable. The ONLY negative about this store is that they are higher prices, than the competitor right across the street.
Always an enjoyable experience shopping there they are customer service oriented always there.
Very great place to shop! Nice and neat.
Im sorry but this Big Y needs help. Frequently out of stock of produce and staple items. Most of the cashiers are really good. Some are lost in space. Went in last week for four items and came out with nothing. Out of stock on organic bananas, lime seltzer water, the cereal and bagels we buy. Curious that the East Longmeadow store had all the items. WHY IS THAT? I guess it doesnt matter to Big Y since they get my money anyway... one more thing, one of the produce ladies needs a hug cause she always seems to be having a rough day.
I love shopping a Big Y just sometimes cant afford it because its expensive definitely the most expensive out of the big three in the area
I love visiting Big Y whenever I am in MA. Great produce, bakery and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
My least favorite Big Y. The store is old and small in comparison to other Big Ys that I have shopped at, although recently updated. It doesnt carry many of the brands I am used to seeing in other Big Y stores. I only stop here because it is conveniently located in relation to my commute from work to home.
Beautiful..clean..full of yum food and lunch items. No one had rubarb...anywhere...but they did! Amazing...wonderful
I love Big Y for so many reasons its so clean the organic produce is always so appealing and the people are so nice to deal with. I love it!
Friendly & helpful staff, but a very congested store floor plan & way over priced on 95% of their offerings. So I wounded, with the record profits they must make in this unique location, why havent they invested in a today 2 story market structure, with grade level or roof top parking? Supermarkets like Safeway & Publics have proven this model over the past 10 years! Wake up Big-Y, before you become a Sears!
Nothing wrong with the store itself but everything wrong with the pretentious, entitled, snobby people that shop and work there- every day all day. If you want to be treated with decency, literally go anywhere else.
Updated and expanded recently. Registers can be slow sometimes
Back again because its closest. Today things were fresh. But please Big Y!!! Train your baggers!!! A cold container of milk should never go in a bag with boxes of crackers. I come in with enough bags so I could put one item in each and still have but they insist on jamming everything in and crushing. Crushed potato chips are not the nicest thing to serve to your family.
Its close to me and convenient. I dont buy everything there but I do mostly in the winter. I think Fresh Acres is a better store and maybe when they renovate the Longmeadow Big Y it will more resemble a Fresh Acres. I like buying local produce and dairy. I think they could buy more locally, I wish they would. No big objections to Big Y. For the prices that they charge, I would expect the scale and quality of their food to be excellent. High expectations fall short.
Would not accept return of ice tea mix purchased at Big Y. Originally bought by my wife who passed away shortly after purchase and I do not use the product. Manager was not polite in refusal claiming I did not purchase from Big Y. I told him he lost a 45 year customer, and also wrote a letter to president of Big Y. Never got an answer.
I shop regularly at this Big Y every 1-2 weeks. Yesterday I bought a bag of carrots and had to spend 15 minutes washing every single carrot due to one being rotten and having turned to mush. That one bad carrot had gotten all over the bag. Also last month I bought a 12 pack of hamburger patties and once I got home, found that they were 3 months past their expiration date. I can deal with a small issue every once in a while, but twice in 2 months is unacceptable. Please work on your quality control!
A bright and inviting grocery store.Well organized and offers freshly prepared food to go.Great experience.
Very friendly staff and willing to accommodate our group of 11 in their cafe. The pizza was excellent and they provided plates and napkins.
Professional and friendly 👌
Newly remodeled and expanded. This is finally a full service Big Y with all the options... prepared foods, pizza, seafood, butcher, deli, florist, etc.
Its all you need for fresh foods
Rude employees that treat you like a 2nd class citizen. Never has hot food ready except the nasty fried food bar. This store sucks. Go to West side or Enfield.
Good grocery store with a big variety
Love it
Good store. Friendly employees.
My husband and I were very excited about the renovated Big Y in Longmeadow. Save your time and visit another as this store has many premade meals and crazy gourmet foods that you will never use. Today, I shopped at the store for Salsa Verde, fresh tomatillas, fresh jalapenos, and raspberries. Nothing was available. I always find these items at Stop & Shop. I will use this Big Y for generic necessities only. One star.
Very good. Shop there all the time.Employees are excellent.
Okay here, not a lot of variety in the Longmeadow store. Much prefer East Longmeadow.
Very organized and customer friendly, nice staff members and good prices.
Big Y has apparently lost its kosher supplier, and along with it some of its better cold cuts pickles and other quality food stuffs. A true shame, the store seems to become less and less less well-stocked every time I go in.
Clean and easy shopping
I love big y! no downside to shopping at any of the stores. try the soup!
Good quality is good, prices can be higher than all other markets.
Not perfect but very good always like to shop there 🦃
Good grocery store. Friendly staff and small size make it very easy to navigate and use.
Always reliable
A big, generic supermarket for big, generic people.Youll find all your conventional groceries here. The place is clean. But I cant say much more than that.
Nice and clean store very friendly employees. Looking forward to coming back when I am in town next time
Im a Stop & Shop guy, but Big Y runs a very close second. Their pizza and sushi are great.
Always a good experience, great employees!
Always clean. Good sales and good quality food.
Prices to high, good quality fruits and vegetables, clean workers not to friendly in east longmeadow
Once again I am told 30 min for a pizza. Once again I am waiting here for an hour. Doesn’t seem like making pizza should be this hard
Staff not friendly. Produce does not last more than 2 days. Cashier dumped my produce and a gallon of milk on to the conveyor belt. Bruising the apples I just picked out. I have never shopped at a place that does that. Plus, isles are so narrow.
Dont like being asked for the name on my phone number when I type it in
Nice grocery store, with everything you could need.
Love their chicken pot pies
Lobster prices are very good here!!
Clean, staff very courteous. Wish they opened early and closed later.
Good local to Longmeadow store, but needs to expand & make the isle wider
Small store but convenient in town grocery shopping
Cozy Big Y, dont you change for no one.
Adequate. Decent selection but nothing outstanding or notable.
Beautiful store. Expencive
This location is under construction. No scales in produce dept. Testing fire alarm today Oct 1, 2018. Very loud, wished I hadnt been there for that. High prices unless items on sale, compared to some other supermarkets in Enfield or East Longmeadow.
Same high prices as all Big Ys, in a cramped, ugly store.
Love Big Y; my heart belongs to Wegmans :)
Great convience but limited selection of items
Always have what we need, friendly.
I love shopping and saving $$$ at my Big Y!
Ok for that last minute item you realized you forgot, but to small for your big weekly shopping.
Long and slow lines.
Wow great moves keep it up!
Great place just a little small
Very good
Nice services and good variety.
The selection is pretty nice.
Allison is always friendly!
Clean, pleasant employees, fair pricing !
Great place to grocery shop.
