If you are in the mood to be treated rudely this is your place!!! The owner always acts as if he’s doing you a favor. The employees stink like stale pot or cigarette smoke. This most recent time I opened the door and was literally screamed at for not having a mask on. Leaving aside the lunacy on vaccinated adults wearing masks, the attack for simply opening the door without one on was enough to NEVER return here and make sure my friends and family never do either. There is a UPS drop box at the medical buildings on Dwight for Amazon returns and east Longmeadow has a UPS store as another option. No one needs this place.
My wife and I use this store at least twice a week since they opened. We have always found Jim and Lisa to be very caring and helpful. Sometimes we all have a bad day. Jim and his employees do a great job and I will continue to do business with them. They are good local people who care about their customers and community.
I visit this UPS store fairly regularly and find the staff to be quick, courteous and helpful.
I have used this UPS store location twice recently and had their employee Jessie both times - each time Jessie was extremely helpful, polite and professional. I hope she is there every time I go in with custom. If youre reading this Jessie - thank you!
Use this place sparingly but the rudeness never changes. On top of that, they move incredibly slow with zero sense of urgency, while a line starts to form out the door. Now, I dont live in town, so Im not familiar with Longmeadows mask mandate. Anyways, I walk into a busy setting, just barely through the door without my mask on (vaccinated and no mask required where I live) and I am immediately singled out, and yelled at across the store by one employee, who completely stopped what she was doing with a customer just to focus on me. You need to leave the store immediately, you dont have a mask on, you have to wear a mask! She yelled. All customers turned around in bewilderment knowing my intent was not malicious, I was simply uninformed of an updated mask mandate recently issued in town. I totally understand these crazy times involving covid but there are way more professional and non-aggressive ways to tell me I require a mask, I would have complied and head back to my car for my mask. Instead I went to east longmeadow without any issues, mind you masks arent mandated in that town.Never had any issues in EL only here in longmeadow. I was also yelled at, at the very beginning of covid when masks became a requirement. Again, was unaware at that point in time too. All said and done, I will no longer patronize this place. All other UPS stores will do.
Taking your business to elsewhere will save you a lot time and aggregation at this place. I booked an appointment for the notary service. Got the confirmation email. When I went to my appointment, I was told the notary wasnt there. Very frustrating, but I still decided to give them another chance. So I booked another appointment at this place. However when I showed up for my appointment, AGAIN, I was told the notary wasnt there!! Unbelievable! Whats the point you require customers to book appointments online for the service but not honor it? Obvious they dont respect their customers at all. Why should we give them business? The one at East Longmeadow has much better service, a big plus from them is you do not need to book any appointment for the notary. You can just show up with your IDs.
Definitely not using any covid procedures. People are crowded in store waiting. Pin pads not being wiped down etc.
I needed to ship two packages to a friend who couldnt receive them at home, so just in case, I called the store beforehand to make sure I was putting in the care of or Attn the way they preferred. Spoke with a nice woman named Lisa, sorted that, did the shipping through my own UPS account and paid for them that way. As soon as the store called to say the packages were in, my friend went to pick them up. A tall, white-haired man with beard and glasses grudgingly brought him the packages, then demanded $5 a box before hed release them. First, he said it was UPS policy (its not). Then, he said it wasnt included in the original cost because it was store related. He also told my friend that next time you have something delivered here, call to let us know its coming. When my friend asked why, he said If you dont pick them up within 2 days, we send em right back.I can understand not wanting packages to sit forever, but I just spoke with UPS and charging for already-paid-for packages is NOT their policy and should not have happened. In more than four decades, I have never, ever, run into this with any UPS store. Very annoying. The whole point of pre-pay is so the receiver does not HAVE to pay. Plus, there was no mention of any extra charge in either phone call.
Absolutely awful customer service at this branch specifically. Save yourself the aggravation and go to the east longmeadow branch.
In the middle of moving, and had to return two boxes - had everything boxed up, with shipping labels. Just needed them to tape the boxes shut, scan the labels, and ship them.Sue (I believe) only had one other customer there when I came in, but she looked tremendously flustered. And when she heard that I needed the ends of the boxes taped up, she just became irritated. Randomly charged me $2.Can I afford $2? Yes, of course. Has any other UPS ever done such a petty thing, for about 4 strips of tape? No. Was the customer service great? No. Was it fast? No.Not coming back here.
I’ve been twice now and had friendly fast service. My experience was great. Lisa was professional and sweet! Thanks!
It is what it is. Very slow. 15 minutes for a $12 shipment.
I had two small boxes delivered to this store and was charged a $10 surcharge before I could claim them. As soon as I said that I was picking up two boxes the tall, white-haired, bearded man behind the counter gave me a pained, irritable expression, as if he were doing me a favor for holding on to them for a few hours. When I questioned Bad Santa about the totally unexpected $10 pickup fee, he gave me some gibberish about the store having to charge it because UPS imposed it (and the stores werent too happy about it -- hah!) and it wouldnt be charged if you have a mailbox here. Who the he// has a mailbox at UPS? Then, if that werent enough -- and perhaps because I didnt challenge him further re: the illicit surcharge of $5 per box -- he chided me for not calling in advance to let them know the boxes were coming! For real. So...now I have to alert a UPS Store that a shipment is coming in. Like thats gonna happen. This guy is in the wrong line of work. Ive dealt with him before and had another unpleasant experience with him, but chalked it up to him having a bad day. Well, if alienating and scamming your customers is your idea of running a business, Ill take my business elsewhere. And UPS Corporate, if youre by chance reading this, please investigate this store. Theyre probably reimbursing themselves for all kinds of things they shouldnt be. And acting uppity about it, to boot. Locals, take your UPS business to nearby East Longmeadow or Enfield. One last thing: I was never asked for my signature to acknowledge receipt of the boxes, although that was clearly stated in the delivery instructions. Such incompetence and greed.
One of the best places to ship anything so kind see Jim
Super rude (esp Jim), very slow and incompetent to boot
