I love this place. No sports or activity spot ever had any pool related items. Until a gentleman suggested hobbytown. The people there are always friendly to me. And they have other very cool items! 3rd time here. And plan on not stopping

2 employees wanted to play know it all and the other finally helped us buy the correct wheels. Good group of guys but drop the attitude. Look stuff up when the customer insists the should fits arent correct. I had already been sold the wrong wheels once. I knew there was a difference.

Todays visit was so much better than usual. Even though they were out of a couple things I wanted, it was still better! And this is all because I met their female employee( I need to find out her name) that remembered me from the FoCo Hobbytown 2 yrs ago!! She was so awesome! She was patient, she actually listened to me and if she didnt know, she would find out. Unlike my past visits where I get brushed off and rushed out by the guys. Who, by the way, can never seem to answer my questions. I am pretty positive that I probably have more rc knowledge than any of the guys.Anyways....it was a good visit for a change. I hope to see her more often !!

Took a drive down from Fort Collins to check this place out since the Fort Collins hobby town closed. Walked in and all the shelves were practically empty, signs everywhere warning not to shop lift, plenty of employees there but not once was I asked if I needed help finding something. Overall not worth stepping foot in this store for anything, which is a bummer because the Fort Collins location used to be awesome.

Very helpful to a beginner picking out my first collective pitch heli and I was happy to give my money to a local shop rather than Amazon. Thanks guys.

Ok store but it seems the stock Is not being replaced, very low and dont have what I have been looking for the last 3 times I went there. I saw they return something that was opened and put it right back on the self for the same price used. Not sure if the person took something out of the box or not.

Stopped in to get some tires and wheels for my boys RC car and they had a great selection. Spoke to the manager as well and he seemed like a very nice guy. Always happy to support local businesses when they appear to be making an effort, and these guys are making an effort. Go check em out!

One reason why this isnt a five-star place to go prices are a little too high great selection

My grandson and I had a great experience at Hobby town. He wanted to upgrade from cheap internet RC cars that always broke. They asked him questions and listened to him. They recommended a well recognized brand RC car that contained metal parts. The RC car is upgradeable. We highly recommend them. They are local, have great inventory, carry parts, and have knowledgeable people who care about their patrons.

Although it continues to shrink in size its still a great store!

Cute little hobby store. Came here for RC Truck parts and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They saved us a trip down to westminster (from greeley).

Great store, nice selection of scale models, trains, R/C planes and cars as well as modeling supplies for builders. I went in looking for a Tamiya P-51B and found exactly what I was looking for as well as thinners and paints. Five stars, nice staff, quality inventory, and coverage for a variety of hobbies including kids and STEM items.

Stopped in to the store today (May 2021) and the person sitting at the desk near the front door wasnt wearing a mask, an employee working on an RC airplane on top of the customer counter at the back of the front room, also not wearing a mask, while another staff and customer had a conversation at the same counter (both of them WERE wearing masks).I did a lap around the store and was pleasantly surprised to find a decent selection of RC airplane hardware, props and other build accessories. I wanted to check out the electric motors and ESCs, but they are contained in the counter where the un-masked staff was working. I waited for a bit, hoping the situation would improve, and then an un-maksed customer walked in. At that point I headed out. While Id like to support my local hobby store, at this point, I see myself shopping on-line before going back to this location in person.Disappointing.

Great place to spend my money! Bought my son a RC for birthday present. Buyer beware these things are incredibly addictive! One week has gone by and now I have one and so does my daughter. Considering going in to buy a second one for myself. My bank account wont let me... Oh wait I can overdraft.... Josh you have a REAL car payment coming up.... Hmm perhaps if I upgrade my RC I can have it tow me around in a wagon and I wont need a real car???...... JOSH STOP YOURE ADDICTED.

Ok place.. usually helpfull.. walked out with a new mojave and ended up paying 749.99 even though westminister and everywhere else is 649.99?? Not sure why I got charged an extra 100..

Great service, great environment. The only place I like to be other than out bashing my RC cars and trucks.

I love this place. Huge selection and if they dont have it they will do their best to get it. The only issue I have had is with an employee by the name of Eric he seems like he doesnt want to be there and doesnt have the customers best interest in mind from what I can tell. Other than that all the other employees are awsome and Jen has been a huge help in many of my purchases and issues cause by the other employee.

I was pretty irritated by the time I left!! Went in there for answers to ?s and some help finding a particular product, the sales person behind the counter was no help and directed me to a guy sitting behind a desk (who was eating a burger) his answers to my ?s were short and abrupt and obviously not willing to put his burger down to help.me at all! I left and will NEVER go back!!

Plenty of a selection of RC equipment. Unfortunately the people in staff were not very helpful nor knowledgeable. I did buy an RC truck, but will look elsewhere for all tge supplies for it.

Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Well definitely be making the drive to this location since the Fort Collins one closed.

You can tell the staff here are trying their best to keep up with the demands of the recent COVID-related run on pretty much everything in stock, and doing it with a smile and great attitude. Compared to other stores that are available to me as I live south of Longmont, the stock here is not as extensive but still remains a solid resource in the area.

They have a decent selection of products but youll only get help from the bald guy with the beard, and even then only if you ask. Business should be conducted with hello, what can we do for you? I would recommend the crawlspace or jtrc or other shops if you have the choice

A pleasant hello goes a long way. Very polite ladies at the front. Showed me the way to the item I was looking for. Sadly their Gundam model selection is very lacking. On the plus side they did have a very good assortment of paints.

Hobby shops are getting hard to find locally,but it was worth the trip!

Customer service is bad. The employees dont seem to be very knowledgeable and they dont honor manufacturer sales. You end up leaving with the feeling that you dont really want to go back and its sad. I wanted to buy local but ended up ordering directly from the manufacturer. Even though Hobbytown carried the model I wanted, it was $180 less on the manufacturer website so I ordered there.

Best hobby shop for rc and model type stuff. Staff will absolutely help you repair anything you have too!

ANYTHING you want here, can be found for 70% less online. Odds are, youll also get better customer service ordering off the web, than going here. Used to be my go to for my drone collection, however due to these circumstances, I wont ever be back. I see Hobbytown USA going bankrupt in a very, very short time.

Walked in 10 minutes before close looking for an inexpensive tool. They had a couple options and were very helpful. Not always the case some places 10 minutes before close on a Friday night. Ill definitely be back!

Excellent store which carries RC airplanes, cars, boats. They sponsor the Longmont Electric Airplane Field and are very knowledgeable. They also have model trains as well as plastic display model kits. Check them out!

This is a fun store to visit. They have a pretty good selection of HO scale train stuff. Prices are not bad. -1 for an old-school return policy: you can only get store credit, not an actual refund.

Remodeled (pun intended) from a year ago. Went there for a battery and of course they had it. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

Purchaced an RC car and a battery there. They didnt have the right converter cable, so they made me one. Great service!

Store can feel a little cramped but their prices are great, staff is friendly, and willing to track down what youre looking for if they dont have it. Their selection is large and products are quality. Great place for model enthusiasts.

Hobby town in Longmont has provided me with the worst customer service experience and will not be getting any of my future business. On January 25th, 3 days short of 2 months now I dropped my Traxxas Aton drone off for repair. I was told I would be contacted Wednesday for a repair estimate. I was not, I called the following Saturday to be told it hadnt been looked at yet but they would for sure the in the coming week. This game of not being called by them, but having to call to be given new excuses of why my drone hadnt been repaired or even looked at went on for several weeks until I was finally given a repair quote, the quote was one hour for labor and they would start it over the week. Good news, until I called the following weekend to be told that they had not started it and it would actually be 3 hours.Okay I said, and asked if they needed my phone number since I had not gotten any calls or updates over this stretch of time. They said no, confirmed my phone number and I waited and waited for 2 more weeks to hear back.So today I called and spoke with Chris, who told me that my drone had been started and just needed to be assembled. I politely asked if there was anything the store could do to make this wait right, like honor my original quote, perhaps discount the labor, to which Chris became extremely rude and told me why dont you just come get your drone.So I ventured down there to get my drone, and upon inspection I found that Chris had in fact lied to me. It hadnt even been started on yet, and when I got home to further inspect it I found that they had not given me back my owners manual or the booklet for the repair.So over the last 2 months not only have I been given the run around and treated rudely, but I was ultimately lied to and not given back the booklets I left to help with the repair. I can see now why the Fort Collins location has closed down. I will be doing all my r/c and drone shopping at other establishments and online for now on, its hard to support a local business when they cant even seem to help themselves.

Helpful staff. I love that they let me work on my RC right in the store. Makes it real easy to fix your toys when all the parts are right there on the shelf. We live an hour away, so being able to fix it there on the spot is way better then getting home only to realize there was one more part you needed.

Staff is extremely helpful and attentive, they are very busy but always make you feel like family. I walk in and now most of the staff knows me on a first name basis, pretty cool!

Best hobby shop ever, good selection, the guys there are honest on whats good and whats not, and all of the workers are very sociable and you feel like you make a connection, i wish i could go here every day. i mean if you want good service nice people that arent out to just get your money this is the place to go. And the prices are just about average, if you can go here instead of online

Excellent customer service! Everybody that works here is helpful and giving of their time and knowledge. Just went in with a 4WD Rustler, and was able to come out with a new VXL motor and system at a fair price and with expert and friendly help on getting it in. My son was able to run it that night and that made my day. This is why brick and mortar stores still have a place in our lives. Thanks guys!

The staff here are great. Theyre always real helpful and willing to answer questions very professionally even though theyve probably been asked the same thing 100x that day. They have lots in stock and I havent had to wait to get help or checkout. Ive been to both the Longmont and Westminster stores and this is the only location Ill shop at. Theyre awesome!

Just drove from Boulder to find out that they close earlier than listed on Google. Definitely bummed.

Great staff, they were very helpful in helping us pick a good R/C car for my son... and parts for when he breaks stuff. Prices seem at least as good, if not better, than what Ive found online.

All sorts of hobby supplies like remote control vehicles, board games, darts, billiards, miniature railroads, collectibles, toys, craft supplies, etc. Prices are competitive and the staff was very helpful. Bought a great quadcopter there called Shadow that Id recommend to any intermediate level flyers.Prepare to spend at least an hour looking around. There is endless fun within.

Great customer service. The guys here gladly showed my young son items that were in a locked case, just to look at and to foster a passion for hobby trains. They took the time to explain how things worked and gave us ideas for an affordable model train set ups. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

They have everything you would need for a model airplane a model train or a model RC car but thats what they specialize in and the only things they really specialize in.So keep that in mind when youre going there because its extremely specialized.
