All About Hearing does an excellent job at helping us hear again. They have greatly exceeded my expectations and helped me hear things I havent heard in over 20 years.I selected All About Hearing over the others for 2 specific reasons; one, Dr. DeVore is a true audiologist, and none of the other places I talked to have an audiologist. The second reason was because she doesn’t work for a hearing aid manufacturer. All of the other businesses I looked into sold a specific brand of hearing aid. You go in, get tested, and then matched with a certain model of the hearing aid brand they sell. All about hearing doesn’t sell a brand, they sell multiple models from multiple vendors. After the hearing test, you get matched with a brand that offers a model that works best with your individual hearing loss. That is a win-win.Dr. DeVore is an excellent doctor. Since my first meeting with her, I felt like she really cares about helping me be able to hear again, and this has continued on every visit. And every time I go back for another adjustment, she gets me right in and makes the adjustments I need. It has taken a few appointments to get the settings exactly the way I want them. That is because I was having trouble deciding which settings were working better. She never questioned why I couldn’t decide, she just focused on helping me get it right. Both of my hearing aids are working beautifully now, and I am hearing things I forgot we were supposed to be hearing.Another thing Dr. DeVore does that I think separates her from the others is including the families in the diagnosis and treatment. When a family member has hearing loss, other friends and family can get frustrated having to repeat themselves over and over. They are incapable of understanding what it is like. Dr. DeVore shows them what it is like. She has a machine that, once the hearing test results were loaded into it, would play audio the way a person with normal hearing would hear it. Then it plays it back the way I naturally hear (or don’t hear) it. For the first time, my wife was able to experience what I had been experiencing with my hearing. This was important to both of us, and she has a new level of compassion and understanding of what I go through without my hearing aids.The wonderful service doesn’t just start and stop with Dr. DeVore. She has a wonderful staff that works with her. They greet you with a smile (something missing from many doctors offices), help reschedule appointments without penalties, and remind you of appointments so you dont forget. They work with your insurance company to get whatever benefits apply, and If financing is needed, they have financial companies they work with to get affordable financing on the spot.Having bad experiences in the past with hearing tests, I wasn’t expecting too much. I am pleasantly surprised at the outstanding service and treatment I have gotten and continue to get from Dr. DeVore and the whole All About Hearing staff.

I felt immediately that she really cared about my situation. Dr DeVore took the time to explain the technology behind the hearing aids and showed me how she programmed them. I felt that I was really apart of what was going on.
