This is my regular Indian Store I go to. Since the management changed a few years back, over the years they have been keeping a lot of different brand items. The store is well stocked most of the times. But have very limited variety of fresh vegetables. They have a loyalty program. For every dollar you spend you get 1 point. When you accumulate 100 points, you get 10% off your bill. They have a small restaurant inside the store called Bombay Chaat Cafe. It is open only on weekends. A good place to grab some tea or fresh snack while shopping. The staff is always very helpful. They all wear masks. Social distancing is maintained near the check out counter with markings for keeping 6ft distance. They wipe down the shopping cart after every use.Although its slightly pricey than Patel Brothers...I prefer shopping here as its spacious and less crowded.
I really love this store. It’s not overly big, but has everything. It’s always fresh and they have great quality fresh produce. They’re family owned and there’s always one family member there at least. Courteous, attentive and helpful! Well priced too. Cheaper than the Lake Mary store and more variety and fresher produce.
Worst experience ever. I went to the store towards closing time and I went to the front desk, requesting if they can get me 2 specific vegetables ( as the bins were empty). The guy there had the worst attitude and responded saying there are no vegetables. I went to another counter and this time his mom asked someone to get those 2 vegetables in a bag. I went to the counter to make the payment and shared her feedback, saying the other guy could have politely answered me rather than showing his attitude and anger. He was not part of conversation and he intervened saying, I will have the same experience if I come back again during closing hours and asked me to leave. Really !!! Is this how you treat your customers ? I was with my kids and did not feel worth talking or educating this sick guy. Definitely wanted to write this feedback, so people are aware of what they can expect. Made my day bad and I am never going to visit this store again !!
Very clean store. Excellent costumer service. Owner is extremely helpful, kind polite and professional in dealing with the customers.
Cant say enough nice things about the store or the people who run it. Bhavna and Prashant make me feel like Im part of the family.
This is a wonderful store that carries a lot of Middle Eastern fare. It is easily accessible on 434 in a strip mall shopping center. I enjoy drinking Quik Tea Chai. They carry all of the varieties which is nice because then I don’t have to order it online. The staff are friendly, very helpful and I enjoy shopping here.
Good customer service, clean and neat. Easy to find things you are looking for. Good rewards program.
A medium sized Asian grocery store which is well stocked with most of your Asian grocery needs - Indian spices, curry, tea ..... and even great selection of fresh vegetables.
It is a good store but the organization of some of the items is not intuitive
Great selection of Indian goodies and spices. Also a snack bar with fresh samosas and chat. Excellent food!
I love Indian food, but new to Indian cooking. They are very helpful identifying products new to me and how to cook them.
UPDATE SEP - 2021:CHECK Harika REVIEW BELOW ** mom with kids treated by some sick guy at store.**worse rotted Veggies and treatment with customer like they are sitting in some local Delhi Sabze Mandi. With due respect I am not first one to complain see the other reviews where customer for example Vinod spend 100+ and got home and called to tell the veggies were rotted not spoiled along with rude treatment.
Wide choice for Indian groceries. Freshly made Indian food is also available.
Great store! fresh produce, great selections!
You will find decent selection of spices and vegetables. They do have curry leaves majority of the time. Less crowded and bit more spacious.
Good customer service. Clean. Fair price. Loyalty program
They have a great little restaurant inside. They also have a lot of good food choices but the prices are extremely high. The heat inside the grocery store it was too much for me as well. I normally shop at Patel brothers and save a lot of money. Its hard for them to compete with such a corporate conglomerate. I think its worth the drive to go over to Patel Brothers and save yourself some money. I know this is just a small business trying to make it in a big world but perhaps they should think of something else to do other than taking our hard-earned money and chagrging too much for their food
Great place, can find all you are looking for in Indian grocery. Could not resist peeking in the chaat counter, they were out of Masala Puri but glad to know they serve it. Also note the store does not carry milk.
Their customer service is awesome!!!
We get all indian veggies and also fresh veggies.
Indian market that has tons of things that you wouldnt find anywhere else. A good selection of things i cant pronounce and have no idea what they are, but if i were more educated in Indian cuisine Im sure i would be more impressed.
Good variety of indian spices and groceries. Very good indian food.
Nice neat store. all needed items available.
Love this place. Great spot for spices in bulk, and they also have a produce section where you can get bird chilis. They also have curry leaves at the register if you ask them.
I came in for some rose water because no one else seems to carry it. Definitely will be coming back to shop here. The ladies working in the store were delightful! Sweet, helpful and welcoming.
Its not a house, but it is full of spices and it is in Longwood, so two out of three aint bad. They also have a ton (or tonne) of other Indian delicacies and food items
Great renovation with well trained staff and delicious restraint inside
Always good !!!
When I walked in everyone here was very welcoming and greeted me with a smile. I love to cook so exploring a new market with fruits, vegetables and spices Ive never seen gets me excited. This store is very clean and everything is priced clearly. I do not know how I would implement these slices into my cooking, but I will be returning to ask.
They have nice Indian groceries spices
As an America, I am only familiar with a few India or Ayurvedic spices. The staff was very helpful and knowledge. On the weekend, you can purchase hot food to go or eat on benches inside. The cook made suggestions and made them milder for me. Great experience. I will return.
Super Happy to have one in my neighborhood. They have almost everything u find in Patel bros. The chat shop inside this is the best chat in Orlando.
Went in to browse and found friendly staff and a large variety of reasonably priced produce, dry goods and refrigerated Indian foods. Part of the store is currently being renovated.
I love the place. The best yogurt. Fresh beautiful produce. Mango pulp by the case at exceptional prices. I love these guys! Oh, and fresh food served too.
Great people, Prashanth and his parents do a fantastic true service.Amazing good people. We can order or inform or call them or even email...very rarely Asian Indian stores. Give a great Pat for doing in the technology. They also have points you can enroll
I was so happy to find this amazing store! Huge selection of anything that you could imagine pertaining to a Indian spice market. Lovely people own and oversee the store. I will never go to a regular market for most of my needs again.
They are very good, for variety and services and quality of stuff they have.I am going there since three months...All negative reviews I had seen are pretty obsolete because the owner has been changed and they had renovated their store.also on weekends you can enjoy their delicacy.
Excellent store to buy Indian spices & foods. They have a terrific produce department. They also sell household goods such as rolling pins, rice pans, dishes. They sell religious articles & incense. They have a wide array of Indian soaps & shampoos. They also sell a variety of products from England, including sweets. They stock CDs of Indian music & DVDs of films. On weekends they have a fantastic food stand open serving typical Indian street cart food. This is a great place to shop & a great place to eat authentic Indian foods.
Nice Indian grocery store with nice and polite people running them. You’ll see them smiling all the time and its an amazing gesture to have, specially for attracting customers.
Friendly family shop!We rely on them for our culinary spices and they are always helpful.Their products are authentic and we really enjoy our home-cooked Indian dishes.
Friendly staff, well stocked and well lit clean store. The food from Bombay Cafe inside is excellent as well. We make a stop here anytime passing by on I-4.
Store was clean and everything needed was available. Employees are very friendly.
Loved itSo so indianThey were playingEk pal ka jeenain the background
Went to buy some ingredients for my cooking. Ended with a new recipe to do when I was at the register. I loved it. Cant wait to try it too
Bit costly but you have all u need in indian grocery.. they also give free Curry leaves
When we settled in Orlando, wed drive all the way to Patel Brothers and the whole experience, although overwhelming, end up in us spending quite a few hours and thoroughly exhausted. And then we discovered Spice House. The prices arent very different and I found some things here I couldnt get at other Indian stores. Really nice...
It’s a typical grocery store with all kitchen essentials needed for an Indian household. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean and well stocked with a variety of grocery items. The unique thing I love about it is that the grocery store houses a chaat cafe (Bombay Chaat Cafe), which has authentic Indian chaat food items. Folks running the chaat place are super nice and friendly. Chaat tastes really good, reminds me of Bombay food. I normally go there every weekend for chaat and end up buying groceries while waiting for the food.
Wonderful grocery store wonderful owners and employees on the weekends theres a little cafe the people that run the cafe are very nice nice little Eatery you could find anything you need for your Indian cuisine they also have a wide range of other things they have beautiful produce theyre very helpful with recipes theyre very sweet people
Excellent prices on Indian groceries. I bought red lentils here for half the price that they were at Publix. They also have an excellent selection of spices and other basics as well as exotic items.
They have a lot of products from food to grocery to body and hair care. They always play Bollywood on big TVs which maked the shopping experience pretty interesting. They have a little cafe in there as well.
This was my favourite place to shop when I lived in Florida. Kind staff and great prices. Miss it.
Great place to shop awesome people work there!! owner is a wonderful wonderful lady just pleasant experience.
Interesting place with all sorts of groceries I have never heard of. Glad to have samples. Wonderful place to expand your culinary horizons!
I estimate we have spent about $2000+ here every year for the past 7 years. We visit her shop weekly.Assuming that we have already had 350 positive experiences over these years we have only had one negative experience at her store when she refused to accept a few cans of Heinz baked beans worth approximately $5. I told her that the beans gave me stomach ache but she refused to believe me.This is the first (and last) time that I ever tried to return anything to her.I felt that she was going a bit over the top on her stubbornness. Refunding $5 to a loyal well spending customer and believing him is good customer service. Its hard not to like this shop, they do good work for their customers. Why do I like her shop?--------------------------------------Her mostly Indian vegetables are fresh and well stocked. She has a good selection of Indian frozen foods, confectionaries and sweet meets.Overall I would rate her as a 5 with the caveat that she is tough on refunds. Some other caveats:1. If you report an issue with a product like you are getting a stomach ache with their baked beans then they will neither refuse to give you a refund nor accept a return on it.2. They dont accept returns on produce and frozen items.3. There are other unspecified items that they dont accept returns on.
Must say, the chat stall in the store is excellent. Double roti is a must try. Also in the store fresh vegetables are available.
I really like this place. So much nearer compared to the likes of Patel Bros etc. They have most things on most days and the staff is so very courteous.
Decent place for Indian grocery
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love this store. So many spices
Very clean indian store. They recently moved to a bigger place which is next to their old store. It is a family owned store who cares of people as much as their business. They have all the Indian groceries items.
Very good store. You get everything at good price. Clean and neat 👍
We can find fresh vegetables compared to Patel and prices are reasonable. On the weekends chat items are available which taste good.
The store is very well equipped with typical Indian food. There is a separate food counter where they sell homemade rotti.
I was on a quest, searching for curvy leave.& I found, the best strobe in Longwood, Fl. Yes thank you..... AL I will be back, I love this atmosphere...~~~`>
Small and good. But prices are on a little higher side
I have always had a good experience here. My brother and I like to get samosas and chai at the cafe.
Wide range of varities of Indian grocery items. Recently still more varities of South Indian food products are also available.
With nice smosa and pav bhaji
Great staff, very kind and helpful. Made my shopping experience quick and efficient.
Great store to find Indian groceries...I just wish they carry more varieties and brands.
Convenient with a good selection.
Good selection of Indian groceries and conveniently located with good staff . The selection of vegetables can be off depending on the day you visit
Everything is fresh nice setup great service good people Smalling faces ☺️
Great place. Friendly people. Has everything you will ever need.
Great people and friendly service. All the best spices you can think of.
Good selection of Indias delicacies.
Its perfect much spices Love It!
Great place for Indian groceries. Great customer service
Very clean and organized! Staff very helpful!!
This store has become better in the last two months. They have reorganized the commodities neatly and spaciously. A wide variety of snacks are available. It is also near to the Hindu Temple in Casselberry and is a very convenient place to shop. The snack center that is open from Fri-Sun is very functional and is a very useful too. Customer service is fair. It is convenient to the people from Lake Mary and Heathrow. If only the management could maintain the store better, it will get better response than the House of Spices on Orange Blossom Trail and the Patel Brothers. Visit Hindu temple, complete the grocery shopping in House of Spices Longwood, have a snack and head to home.
Good selection of goods and friendly staff
Very nice place good inventory.
I get all of my Indian spices And cuisine from here.
If you need Fresh vegetables go there on Thursday and Friday
Love love ❤️ the food on the weekend ppl are greatest
Everything you need for indian cooking helpful staff
Best place for Indian Groceries
The chaat deserves 15 stars.
My favorite indian grocery store
I had a very very bad experinece from here. I broought some shredded cocunut from here and missed to notice the expiry date. Upon reaching home, I found out that this was expired and I called back the shop. The lady I spoke with was nice to start with, but the moment I told her about the expired item, she changed her tone and started asking me as to why I did not notice in the first place, she needed a reciept(I had my credit card statement which showed I made a purchase of $100 from the store, but that was not good enough for her...). It is more the way i am treated than a $5 loss that I feel offended. Very bad experience with this house of spice store at longwood.
Awesome local grocery that offers a variety of foods and cultural imports from South Asia.
Indian grocery store well organized with good service..
Ideal for getting Fresh vegetables
