D@j has been my go to place for all my purchases, repairs, and advice for the last 25 years! Everything they have fixed for me has worked great since. When I had trouble with the new stihl chainsaws, they worked through it with me, even after being so upset, fixed my chainsaws and they have been running good ever since. Nikkie, hope I got the spelling right, is doing a great job along with all the other helpful employees at d@j. I am so thankful to have d@j nearby when I need something. Good customer service. Fair prices. Enjoyed working with Troy. Sales part of the experience was good, however once I got my new mower home was not happy with the set up and prep. All 4 tires had 35psi pressure. The deck was over 3/4 inch off front to back. Steering levers were not set properly.
I cannot recommend D&J Equipment strongly enough - especially Austin Tinkley. D&J is a small family-owned dealer who not only competes with, but IMHO, outshines the larger multi-store dealerships located just outside Orlando, FL.I am in the process of upgrading from a John Deere 1025r to a 2038r and to say I have been a challenging customer would be an understatement. I have continually changed, added, removed, and/or upgraded various options and attachments on the order as I have seen a FB post or blog entry posted describing new or better (or sometimes not so good) features about the tractor - anything from tires to hydraulic set-up, to bucket style, to attachments, to mowing options. Every time I sent a new email or called the shop Austin took it in stride, offered suggestions, and always found a way to work with an ever-evolving order (even if it meant ordering parts/accessories from vendors they had not worked with before). I am a week or two away from taking delivery of the new tractor and I am confident that I finally have the PERFECT set-up for my situation and use case all thanks to the patience, dedication, flexibility, adaptability, outside-of-the-box thinking, and plain old SUPERB customer service of Austin and his team at D&J Equipment.While D&J is located in Central FL, I would highly encourage anyone who lives near by to consider being a customer; or even if you aren’t close consider making a drive to see them - you will be glad you did. WELL DONE D&J, you’ve earned a customer for life.

The staff is knowledgeable and willing to explain the products. They sell Stihl and John Deere so the quality is the best. I also appreciate their service department in keeping my saws all Stihl.

I’ve had nothing but very good service from this company on multiple visits.The first was to buy a new chain saw. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.The second visit was to learn that our 15 year old generator had indeed finally bit the dust. For a small and reasonable fee to diagnose they gave me the news and let me know I’d be better off to buy a new one rather than try and resurrect the dead.Finally, I took the aforementioned chainsaw in for a tuneup. Again, it was a fair price for quick service.A great place.

Steve takes time to get to know his customers and actually cares that you get the equipment you need for the job, so your work is easier and your enjoyment of the task is better. Ive bought everything from an edger to a diesel tractor at D&J and Im always treated as if its a big purchase and I matter as a customer. I can’t say enough great things about D&J Equipment. I drive past dealers that are more conveniently located for me and travel nearly an hour, just to continue to do business with, and buy equipment from D&J and they never disappoint me. I highly recommend them.

I worked there for 28 hrs and had no problem working in the shop. Steve like you said a motor is a motor. My problem was the ATTITUDE of the guy showing me what I was going to be doing. After the first day I ask the guy how I did and he said good, (better than most)...I never felt welcome and working with someone with an attitude is very hard.But I think this problem been going on for some time... good luck..

Not a single mask to be seen anywhere. Middle of pandemic, felt completely exposed having to check out.
After being told by every John Deere dealer that it would be a two week wait for a simple repair we took out equipment to D & J. They quickly determined it was a bad battery and we were back to work in 30 minutes. This is why my friends and myself only buy our lawn mowing equipment from D & J. They are the utmost professionals when selling and repairing equipment.

So heres an experience for you. Brought a generator in to get looked at and diagnosed. I realized there was a $49 or $79 bench fee for this process. After given a $500+ estimate I decided to take the generator home and have some friend repair it. The estimate said I needed a rebuilt carb, fuel line and spark plug.Heres the kicker. The carb was totally clean and didnt need rebuilding. Then the generator was never put back together at all. When going through things there were multiple parts missing.When I called they told me that the bench test didnt include reassembly. Even if that is the case I should at least have all the parts to reassemble it. Right?Long story short. After a friend doing the repair, $40 in parts and one hour of time and the generator runs perfectly.Please dont waste your time or money with these rip off artists.

Terrible! So, I told them my drive belt keeps falling off. They told me I needed a new one. They charged me at price for the belt, $20, no problem, but $140 for labor! For a drive belt! But that isnt the worse part, I didnt notice at first, but I got my tractor back in worse condition. Wires were hanging out of my transmission, they broke a piece of metal that makes it easier to shift gears, and they used a fork lift to lift my tractor up onto a trailer, which broke the level that makes the deck go up and down.After one successful lawn cutting, the belt fell off again! So, they charged me waaay too much, gave me back my mower in worse condition, and didnt even fix the issue I originally had.Never going back there
Very disappointed recently when I paid $300 and my generator was not fixed. They wanted $600 to replace another part and claimed it may or may not fix the generator.
I dropped off my ride on lawnmower on a Saturday at opening time. They promised me a call Monday or Tuesday with the issue and cost of repair. I never received a call. I called them on Wednesday and they informed me that they were running behind and that no one has touched the lawnmower yet.i received a call on Thursday letting me know they were unable to identify the issue. I picked up the lawnmower on Friday at which time they informed me that they were able to adjust the carburetor and that the issue was fixed. (According the the rep. They found the issue within 1 hour of me picking up. ) I got home and started it up and lasted about 15 minutes. Now I have to take it else where for the same issue. I do not believe for a second that they even looked at it and simply charged 24.95 for nothing. I wasted one whole week waiting on them and now I have to take it somewhere else. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Been dealing with D&J for about 20 years now. Every time I have been here the service has been fantastic!! I live in Volusia County now but still trailer my equipment to these guys for service and repairs. Can say enough good about this shop!!
What a crew. Coild find a chainsaw anywhere after tge hurricanes but D&J had some and at there regular price.Not only did they help me up with a great chainsaw, they had a chain for my old one and tuned it up for me while i waited.you cant ask for anymore tgan that. These guys (and girls) rock like old school days,personal attention and a human answers the phone every time.

Dealt with these guys at my bosses discretion because he is just as dumb as they are. These guys literally screwed up every order I placed. Then they try to act like they are smarter than everybody but apparently these guys Steve the owner has working for him arent even smart enough to work for Autozone. So I called and placed a $1000.00 order in parts, and the owner Steve (douchebag) I hope you see this, calls my boss and Whines that I called his PARTS ORDERING COMPANY 4x to order parts in one day. Excuse me if Im wrong but thats what happens when you have a business ordering parts. Every time I ordered parts from them they had some sort of self entitlement issue and they still got my order wrong and then would lie about it when I called them. If I was a company or regular Joe I wouldnt do business with these crooks to save my life. John youre a retard who cant find the right parts if they slapped you in the face with their balls. Dave even though you like to be called David because you are a jerk. Steve you big cry baby. I have no clue how you came to still be in business because youre douche and a cry baby. Oh and if you are still thinking about dealing with these guys think about this. they sell cheap Japanese parts instead of originals and dont tell you knowing that they are defective and will break. They admitted to it and still sold the defective parts to people I.E. Belts, Fuel filters, Sparkplugs.
