RJ is a master! He transformed my new Emerald guitar into the most wonderful playing instrument I have ever owned. I had no idea how well, a properly set-up guitar could play. And, he also performed a warrantee replacement for my LR Baggs system which had a faulty end piece connector. If you require any guitar work, from setup’s to full bridge, nut, neck or other work - you really need to talk to RJ.
RJ is the real deal! He has all 5 stars for a reason. Hes super friendly, and a true master craftsman. I would drive twice as far as did to make sure this guy works on my guitar again, or any others that need work in the future.
Excellent service and craftsmanship. My guitar plays perfect at a fair price. Also very nice people, I’ll be back.
Guitar needed a new setup and they had it back to me better than ever in less than a week. 100% recommend
Awesome Job!! Bought a Taylor online and didnt think there was any hope for it. It plays amazing now, my new go-to acoustic. They had it done quickly and looks and plays great. You will not be dissapointed in using LRC for any guitar repair. So happy to find someone I can trust with all my guitars.
I could not have had a more positive experience with LRC Guitars. I brought in an acoustic with a neck splintered to the point of almost being split in two. RJ did a fantastic and clean job, and truly went above and beyond in working and talking with me. I would not consider going anywhere else for any guitar needs! Also, they have some pretty cool shirts.
Best Guitar Shop EVER. Period. Made my Fender Jazz and Strat play and sound like they just came out of the warehouse. Amazing stuff, friendly people, and the best quality repairs you can get in the city, and probably in the state or even the country.
Well established guitar shop ( repair, tune ups and beyond, they even build theyre own guitars or .. they can build one for you, with your specs and everything )I brought in a vintage 0018 Martin for a neck reset and to be refretted... AMAZING JOB !!!Highly recommended if are in Orlando area or Central Florida :)
Such a nice guy and awesome work. He fixed my kids guitar quickly and made the experience painless and interesting. I highly recommend!
RJ at LRC is super friendly, super knowledgable, and (so it seems), super talented. I had a bass made by Bogart in Germany and it got damaged during shipping at the neck pocket (see pic). The manufacturer was supposed to make a replacement body, but ultimately they went missing in action with respect to communication and I got hosed. LRC to the rescue! They repaired the crack, did a pickup swap and re-finished in a drop-dead-gorgeous satin gunmetal blue (instead of the original pink), which he nailed exactly! Fantastic experience all around and highly recommended!!! And the black lab is soooooo cute!
RJ did an amazing job re-fretting my 96 Fender Stratocaster Plus. I was a bit worried that the neck wouldnt perform like it originally had, but my guitar was playing as smooth as it did the first time I picked it up!The neck looked clean, you couldnt even tell any work had been done to it.RJ is my guitar tech from here on out!Make sure to say hi to Owen (🐕) when you go 😉
Really amazing place, very kind and helpful, repaired the jack (which is what we had come in for) and the volume knob on top of it very fast while we were there, and all for no charge whatsoever. Truly just perfect, cant recommend it enough.
Excellent experience! Don’t go anywhere else.
I am amazed by the service I was given! I had just moved to Orlando and my guitar input jack was giving a buzz in my amp so I needed it fixed within a week and wasnt sure where to take it. I am ashamed to say that I went to Sam Ash first and I was so disappointed with their store. I use to work at Sam Ash in Clearwater and had repair work done previously there on another guitar and I was satisfied but I would NEVER drop off any instrument EVER to this Sam Ash located in Orlando. I am so glad I found LRC Guitars! I was on a tight schedule going out of town for a few shows. I called the store way before business hours and I got a call almost immediately back and I was told that they could work with my schedule! RJ is the coolest person on this planet! I swear! Best handshake ever! I needed some fret work done as well and decided to take care of it with RJ and I am really pleased with the job well done! I Absolutely recommend LRC. This is where the professionals take their babies- Aka their instruments! Especially guitars! But who knows I might be bringing in my cello next to do some mad scientist type stuff!!!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about RJ! Not only did he understand just what needed to be repaired on my Ibanez, he found other issues that he was able to update which have incredibly improved the sound and quality of my baby girl :) He is professional, personable, and really cares about how much we love our instruments. I couldn’t recommend RJ more!
The guys at LRC Guitars in Longwood are so great! I brought my acoustic bass in to get set up after trying a few different music shops that didn’t have the tools needed to get my bass into working order. They were super friendly & did an incredible job setting my baby up. 1000000/10 would recommend them to anyone, and I’m absolutely going to go back the next time I buy a new bass/guitar. Thanks so much y’all (:
Excellent experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They did an amazing job re-fretting and repairing a huge crack on my acoustic.I have found the place for all my guitar work.
RJ did an amazing job on my husbands guitars!! I brought in 3 of my husbands guitars and he was able to replace the frets and get them tuned up perfectly. When my husband got them back he was so ecstatic and enjoyed being able to play them!!RJ was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the guitars. We will definitely be using him again!!
Had a set up done there. Both Ken and RJ were very friendly and quick. My guitar looks and feels excellent. They treated me like I was a life long customer on my first time. Will be recommending them to anyone looking for guitar repairs/set ups.
I’m very glad I chose to bring my two guitars here to have repairs fixed and get both Guitars properly set up. They play better than ever before! The customer service and professionalism exceeded my expectations. As an owner of two hospitality businesses, I know how the customer should be treated and they went above and beyond my expectations.Knowledgeable, Friendly, straight forward, honest, I can’t say enough. It is where I will be going from now on. I will highly recommend them to all of my musician friends and wish the best for this business!Oh, and cool t-shirts for sale too! Thank you again RJ and Ken. I’ll look forward to the next visit there. 🤘
Super professional, great to talk shop/music with, and is who I will be bringing my guitars to for as long as I can play.I recently brought him my Rainsong because my frets were in desperate need of attention. RJ did a full fret dress, and I am convinced he is a miracle worker. Even from the factory, my guitar has never played and sounded this great. The frets feel like glass, and the strings play like butter!Next project... my 2001 Taylor 310ce LTD. Cant wait to see RJ bring it back to life!
I brought in my newly purchased Martin acoustic to the shop and met RJ who explained that most guitars are ready to play out of the box, but still require a tune up soon after for precision. The guitar, which I was initially fighting to play because of high action, became the glorious instrument after RJ did his magic. I would HIGHLY recommend LRC guitars for your luthier needs. I intend to bring in my other six guitars and have them restore them to their showroom glory. 10/10
Had some loose binding on a Martin D-28 and wanted to have an old Les Paul evaluated for proper set up and neck polishing. While evaluating the Martin, it was suggested some fret work be completed to improve playability. The repairs were completed within a few days. I have owned the Les Paul for 30 years and it has NEVER sounded or played so well. It is a whole new guitar. And the Martin, after the fret work, sounds better, plays better and is a better all around guitar. The attention to detail is second to none and the quality of workmanship is unsurpassed. Now I need to get my Stratocaster in for a fret job after 30 years of playing. For guitar repair and set up, there is no better choice in Orlando than LRC.
LRC has to be one of the best, professional, first class guitar repair shops in Central FL. RJ not only fixed my 1951 ES-125, but he went above and beyond and made it look and play like brand new. When I brought it in, It had everything wrong with it, neck coming apart, top and back coming undone, dire need of fret work, I thought it was irreparable. RJ did it all. So glad to have him as a part of our community, good solid trustworthy Luthiers are hard to find. LRC has found another life long customer, highly recommend his services to all, no matter how big or small.
Brought a bass in that had some loose wiring. They were great to chat with and fixed it while I was there for no charge. Looking around, you could tell that there work was high quality. I would highly recommend.
I took my vintage Gibson SG in to LRC to get it refretted and I couldnt be happier with the results. RJ spent a good bit of time getting everything absolutely perfect just the way I wanted it to suit my playing style. RJ went above and beyond and now I have a guitar thats never played better and I couldnt be happier with it. RJ is a conscientious person who will ensure that the work is done at a high quality and to your satisfaction. Some guitars are challenging to work on and it takes somebody with skill and patience to get it done right. LRC is the right place to take your guitar and is highly recommend.
I reviewed LRC Guitars when I first started going there 5 years ago, but I really have to review it again. Time and time again, RJ has been an incredible help to me, my family and my friends, doing the best work in the business in a cost-effective, timely and fantastic manner. He continues to deliver quality repairs time and time again, and I couldn’t be happier, and on top of everything, he is incredibly kind and hospitable, and will work with you to make sure you leave his shop happy with an instrument that is miles better than what you left with him. I literally recommend him and his shop to everyone I know that needs a repair. If you have a guitar that needs fixing, go here! You will not be disappointed.
Very friendly service, and RJ knows his stuff. Works quick, and is very honest. Ive already taken 2 guitars to him and have been blown away at the work both times. Highly recommend him and LRC!
If you need any type of guitar repaired or customized, look no further than LRC Guitars. RJ and his staff are super knowledgeable, the place has a completely friendly atmosphere and they provide excellent service at very reasonable fees. Dont hesitate to bring your guitars to them for any service, large or small. Youll be glad you did!
RJ is amazing! Did wonders for my Gibson and Yamaha! They feel and sound great! Better than ever!
Just got this baby back from LRC. I am not familiar with Tune-O-Matic Bridges yet, as this is my first Les Paul, Good thing I bought it to RJ. He had it setup and new locking tuners installed in just a few days, was very helpful and he did a great job getting the setup just right. Its as if I had been playing it all along. Nothing to really get used to, as far as playing goes. Now, tuning on a 3 + 3 and only ever having in line 6 before, I keep grabbing for that next peg on top...Yeah, the two volume knobs are wierd too...LOL
The best guitar repair/custom shop hands down! Ken and RJ know what the hell they are doing and I couldn’t be happier! Any type of job you need, they will take care of it. I will never let anyone else touch my guitars other than the fine folks at LRC Guitars. Thanks again!!!
Turned in two guitars in need of a set up and got em back the next day, and in perfect condition. Sounding just as good as when I first got them.
Quick turn around and quality work. They take the time with your instrument to make sure it’s right. Support local business.
Great, masterful luthiers. Dont trust anybody else with your guitars.
If you live in Orlando area or close your problems are finished! Excellent service! I took my bass to them and now I have a new bass!
R.J. is a great Luthier! I highly recommend him for any guitar services you require!
Awesome and knowledgeable service. RJ is the best- took my 88’ 335 for repair and it was treated with the respect I hoped for. He’s working on my next project already 🤙🏻
RJ and his team are the absolute best in the business. 10/10 would recommend.
From the moment I walked into LRC Guitars shop it felt like family. “RJ”one of the guitar techs assisted me and understood the reason of my visit and explained me thoroughly what was gonna be done to my American Fender Stratocaster. The setup took about 24 hours and let me tell you, my guitar plays and sounds amazing. I’m so glad I did my research since I recently moved from California and needed to find someone trustworthy and professional that I can rely on for the maintenance of my guitars here in Florida. LRC guitars delivered highly at a PRO level! These guys take their time and treat your instruments as if it was their own and they triple checked before you leave their shop to make sure you are satisfied with their service and work. So if you need your guitars repaired, maintenance, restored, etc. Look no more and give this guys a call!
So far Ive brought a Jackson electric and a Yamaha low-end acoustic to LRC and my Yamaha sounds like a Marti after R J worked his magic on it. The repairs to my Jackson were no less miraculous. Plus these guys are not only stand up professionals but stand up guys. I just met them so they didnt pay me to say these things. I will be doing all of my repair work with LRC. Thanks for the work you do!Cary Owens
Funny how you can tell when an artist truly enjoys his work. That can certainly be said of RJ at LRC Guitars in Longwood. It is uncommon to receive such quality workmanship in the USA anymore. RJ is a master craftsman. He treated my guitar with the same care and compassion he would his own guitar. After all, I wouldnt trust my 1964 Gibson ES-335 to just anyone. RJ not only made the needed repairs, but took particular care to ensure the vintage grandeur of the instrument was not compromised. In essence, he restored its dignity. Now it is as majestic as the day my dad & I drove to Kalamazoo to pick it up new. Fifty-two years ago. Thank you LRC Guitars. Great job!
RJ is THE MAN when it comes to any of your guitar repair needs! As a professional musician, it is very important that my guitars are in top condition. AND with LRC guitars...you will get just that. Top notch service from someone who truly loves the instrument. He returned my worn and well-played Ibanez Jem and my Ferrington Kramer acoustic to almost new condition. The Thank You bags with accessories that were in each guitar case was a pleasantly professional touch as well...He has earned all of my business in the future. Thanks RJ...you ROCK!
My low-end Taylor developed a nasty buzzing and was experiencing diminished playability. R.J. of LRC Is the only person I trust to work on it. He did a neck reset and made my guitar sound better than my son’s more expensive Taylor. I couldn’t believe it was the same guitar after the repair. The guy is a genius, and he takes his work personally. He does everything with heart.
I took my late sisters Martin to LRC to have the fret guard replace. It needed a neck reset as well. I cant say enough about my experience. I had complete confidence before I left. Guitar plays great. RJ is the best.
Ken and rj really hooked up my USA Jackson. Pro level set up. Also after hearing about me being a massive trivium and obituary fan they threw in some cool little goodies in the case for me. Worth the drive. Felt like i knew these guys for years. Never going anywhere else for my repair and setup needs.
Super nice and knowledgeable. Flawless repair, set up and string recommendation.
I say this with no disrespect, RJ and Ken with LRC Guitars did the best job working on my guitars than any one before! Everyone that needs work done on their instruments needs to go there! They do it all, I had my fret leveling, set up and binding done on my Martin DCPA4 and it plays better than it ever played. Had a set up done on my Martin 000C classical and Fender Strat John Mayer Signature and both once again play incredible now. I couldnt be happier with how they turned out. Plus they have a shop dog!
Many thanks to RJ and Company for their quality and prompt service! So glad to have him in the neighborhood! Now I know where to bring all my guitars!
RJ had already done outstanding work on my Les Paul and Martin Acoustic. After 30 plus years of playing my stratocaster, the frets were gone. Debated on having a re-fret or just getting a new guitar. Decided to have RJ do a re-fret and am I glad he did. After the refret, the guitar sounds and plays the best it ever has. He is a true craftsman and although it took longer than expected, greatly appreciated his philosophy of it does not leave the shop until it is perfect. He is a prefectionist in his work and the results certainly show it. Thanks to RJ, my guitars are providing more playability and tone than I ever thought possible. The ONLY place to go for guitar repair and set up. My sincere thanks to RJ and LRC Guitars!
RJ is experienced and professional. I accidentally spilled nail polish remover on me and my husbands Gibson and Martin guitars and RJ was able to fix them and make them look almost better than before. He went into even further detail than we had expected and took great care of both guitars and they ended up even playing and sounding better than when we had brought them in. He was also very friendly and makes you feel like you’re in good hands. We will be back! :)
I brought three of my guitars in before Christmas and they fixed my babies up great. Ive never felt these guitars play so good. They all needed some fret work and adjustments. I had choking notes and uncomfortably high playing action, now they feel like buttah! I would recommend this shop for your guitar repair needs! PS Very timely on the repair despite having a family emergency.
Brought in my Martin OM-28e to have some repairs.... unbelievable what this man was able to do. Excellent customer service, works on your guitar and treats it likes it’s his own. True craftsman. Also very knowledgeable on the history and small details of every guitar brand/model. Will only be bringing my guitars to LRC from now on.
Hey, RJ -very quick review on both Collings that you guys did your amazing work on: Chester may be the most versatile and authentic sounding LP-style guitar Ive ever played... from true dirty, to very buttery smooth notes that seem to blossom and EVERYTHING in between.... truly exceeds expectations and friggin hard to put down!! And the Holmes in the CL provide the most accurate and articulate PAF sound Ive heard come out of an LP-style guitar... and she was wailing on some high gain stuff, too. Fantastic setup work on both and both sustain for days... definitely a Grand Slam on both fronts... many thanks, RJ... much appreciated!! You guys do great work!
I cant say enough praise about RJ and the team at LRC. Despite my best effort to destroy my guitars, they keep them alive and going. I wont trust anyone else with my guitars.
I honestly only want to go this guy/guys for guitar work from now on. Great service and quick work, not to mention friendly!
I wanted to surprise my husband by making his Fender Stratocaster even better by adding LRC hand wound pickups. He talks about changing the pickups out allllll the time. RJ recommended 60s alnico 2 pickups. He was up front with me about how long parts were taking to arrive. Told me that the extra wait time would be worth it. He was right! My husband loved the surprise and said the tone was perfect. RJ has always been completely honest about costs and how long things would take. Sadly with everything going on parts were delayed. He called to tell me! Patience paid off this time. Thanks RJ. My husband couldn’t be happier.
This is a great place to have your guitar set up or repaired. RJ did an excellent job on mine, which was getting hard to play. When he finished it was better than new. Well worth the trek from south of Orlando to Longwood.
Wonderful experience! The set up was awesome and my guitar sounds great now. RJ is super friendly and knows his stuff. I would definitely go back and recommend to others.
An extremely friendly and knowledgeable craftsman; RJ took time to explain, in detail, what my instrument needed and how to make a practical decision on the amount of time and effort to put into it. I’m really glad to have a expert of this caliber nearby who truly cares about getting things done correctly. It’s like having a good friend in the business. Refreshing and recommended.
RJ is super cool and does absolutely awesome work. I’ll definitely be bring more of my guitars to LRC!
I brought in my Dominelli classical doubletop due to a problem with string buzz. He took the time to consult Dominelli, and together decided the relief sanding on the ebony was too great, and this could be alleviated by a fingerboard plane and refret. The great: almost no buzz except as expected when aggressively attacking the bass strings -this isnt easy in nylon string guitars set to low action. Also, cosmetically there are no noticeable mars from the refretting. RJ is clearly an artist who enjoys problem-solving and cares about the quality of his craftsmanship. The not so great: understandably we are in the midst of an epidemic and I can see how that might affect certain kinds of activities, not to mention the kids are no longer in school and may demand ones attention. I get it. But I gave the go ahead Feb 3 with an estimate of 3 weeks. He finished after 7 weeks with little communication, in fact failing to inform me for a week after the job was finished. After Iarranged a day for pickup he forgot about me and took his family on a beach escape for over a week. Granted he apologized, but he also knew I had a firm deadline. Anyway, I finally got my guitar back just in time after 2 1/2 months. Not happy with that, which explains why I gave him only 3 stars.
RJ and LRC is hands down the best repair shop I’ve ever been to. Not only is he quick and fair, but dude always teaches and shows why he does what he does. Learn something new every time I’m there! He’s got a customer for life here!
Got wayyy too good of a deal on a used Martin HD28v.... Well in the light of day, I saw that the bridge was starting to come up, and we were starting to develop a belly ( yep, I said “we”). From there it was time to begin the dreaded search for someone whom I could trust to do the surgery on my newly acquired prize.I saw a few of the usual Orlando area suspects that I haven’t had a good vibe with in past inquiries. Then I stumbled upon LRC... On phone conversation with RJ, and I knew he was the guy. Brought the Martin in for an inspection, and he pointed out the neck coming up. Oh boy!!! This was going to turn out more than what I paid for the guitar itself??!! Not so! RJ worked with me to do the job for about little more than 1/2 the cost of a neck reset others have quoted me! He threw in the brace reglue under the bridge, replaced a few worn frets, and even repaired a very ugly break in the body binding to unnoticeable!! All my business will go to RJ from now on! He is truly passionate about his work and is incredibly (even impossibly) reasonable priced. He really rescued my purchase from completely imploding, literally!LRC comes with my absolute highest recommendation!!! Thanks RJ, and my guitar plays and sounds a true GEM!
I was blown away by the customer service that RJ and LRC Guitars provided me getting my old Les Paul and Strat set up. His fret work had my guitars playing better than new.For those used to going to guitar warehouses to get your guitar worked on, youre in for a real treat. Walking into a typical guitar shop, youre used to dealing with someone whos too cool for the room or has no idea of what theyre talking about. RJ was a pleasure to meet and I left there feeling like he really cared about my guitars. An educated person who loves guitars and does work that exceeds your expectations. I will only have LRC Guitars work on any of my guitars in the future. I would highly recommend.
LRC is the place to go for guitar work in the greater Orlando area. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and am very particular about letting others work on my acoustic instruments. RJ knows what he is doing with all things guitar. He cares about what kind of sound/setup you are looking for and does all he can to make it happen.
What a guy! This shop it great, if I could rate it 10 stars I would. I had threaded inserts put into my strat and this guy had it done SUPER FAST. He set up my guitar very well and was extremely personable. A very friendly environment super cool and I couldn’t be happier. Will be using LRC for all my guitar needs :)
LRC Guitars came highly recommended to me by a musician friend. I was having trouble with the intonation and setup on 2 of my guitars and RJ was very helpful and professional. He did a tremendous job on the setup, offering tips on maintaining the setup and said if I had any problems or wanted an adjustment to just stop by anytime and he would take care of me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend LRC to any of my musician friends. Thanks RJ!
LRC Guitars is the only place in the Orlando area I would have work on a guitar! I have been to several well know guitar shops, but RJ is by far the most knowledgeable. I took my guitar to him for a couple of minor issues, it came back sounding better than it ever had! Not only that, it was so much easier to play! He was also very generous with his time to tell me so much about my guitar I never knew! I cant recommend him highly enough! You will be glad you gave him a try!!!
The enviroment @ LRC is warm and welcoming. On top of that RJ is a super cool, super friendly dude, and I had no worries leaving 3 of my favorite guitars in his care. I collected ALL 3, two days later and they all play better than Ive ever experienced them playing! Incredibly happy with the end result and happy I found LRC! Ill be back!
RJ is the guy you want to go to when you want your guitar sounding its best. Spend a few minutes in his shop, talk with him, and look at his work and you can see why hes a master luthier. It wasnt a short drive for me, but Ill gladly make it in order to have my guitars worked on by the best.
RJ setup my fender beautifully
RJ and Ken hooked my Ibanez and legator up with fantastic setups, couldn’t be happier. The legator got new fishman fluence with 3-voicings with all new electronics and routing and they did a phenomenal job! Will be taking my guitars regularly for even the smallest string change. Also.. sorry for the legator I know you guys worked all night on it! 😂 Sounds incredible!
I just spent a couple of hours with my Martin 000-18 after RJ did a set up and dressed the frets. Morning coffee with guitar and playing all my wifes requests.I explained to him my playing style and all my picky preferences for how I like the action, what to keep, what to change. This guitar plays better than it ever has--I am as happy as a man can be cause this is my main guitar and hes amazed me with what hes done with it. This is the second guitar Ive brought him to work on. I like his stories and the way he explains what hes gonna do to work his magic when you bring him a guitar in need. Personable and quick turnaround time. Every guitar player needs someone as professional and reliable as RJ.
RJ,I thank you and my Ric thanks you. The Ric was a major part of my life through the 70s and 80s. Among other things, it put 2 kids through college. Because of your TLC, you brought it back to life. It sounds awesome. Thank you RJ. See you soon.Tom
Just a brief conversation with RJ and youll know hes as passionate about your guitar as you are. He does great work and I wont take my guitars to anyone else.
Ive been playing guitar off and on for about 5 years now and always had a hard time finding someone who I trust with fixing up my guitars. I found out about LRC near my house and set up an appointment last week to get my old, used Acoustic looked at. RJ is the nicest and coolest Luthier Ive ever met and is super knowledgeable. I asked him questions and in the short while we talked he taught me a lot of things about guitars I didnt know. The setup and restring he did on my guitar was perfect and it sounds, looks, and feels great now. Ill be taking all my guitars to RJ and LRC from now on. You wont find a better shop in central Florida.Bonus points for RJs awesome dog Owen!!
RJ did a terrific job setting up a used Taylor 314ce I picked up recently. His knowledge and passion is evident in just talking to him, and his experience and ability come through in his work. I’d have no problem trusting him with my other guitars.
Brought my acoustic to RJ and I have to say, his work puts all of my previous experiences to shame. RJ is the best and Ill only be taking my guitars to him from now on. The attention to detail was just great, and my guitar has never sounded better.
Legit professional. I consider myself a bit of a gear junkie. This guy makes me look like amateur hour. If you have an instrument you truly love, and fear taking it to a stranger. Trust me, this is your man.
I wouldnt trust my guitars to anyone else. Not only is his work beyond excellent, but his love for guitars shows in his work. Highly recommend.
Went to LRC to get my Martin Intonation corrected mainly and restringed. I could not be more grateful with the service. It was ready the same day! RJ was an incredibly communicative guy with follow up text messages even after I left. The sound on the guitar was even better than what I remembered! Not going anywhere else after coming here! Thanks RJ!
Took in my tele for a new nut and a set up and it came out fantastic! RJ is incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Cant recommend LRC Guitars enough!!
RJ was a blessing. We were performing our Easter program every day this week and my electronic pickup stopped working. We dropped by to ask him if he could help and within half an hour he had found the problem and fixed it Thank you RJ.
I have taken several guitars to RJ at LRC Guitars over the last several years. I have always impressed by his knowledge of the instruments as well as the timeliness of his repairs. I just got back my 1982 Martin D-35 and my 1972 D-28. I have owned these instruments for 30-40 years respectively and they have never played better. I live part time in Texas and part time in Florida and RJ is by far the best luthier I have ever used.
I brought a Texas Fat Strat to LRC Guitars to have them set it up for me. Now, Ive been a professional guitar player for many years and I know how to set up my guitars, but I just couldnt quite get this Strat the way I wanted it. LRC took it above and beyond and set it up absolutely perfectly. If Eric Clapton himself was standing next to me I would tell him to dump whoever he is using to set up his guitars and use LRC. Thats how impressed I am with the quality of their work. Thanks Again! Bob F.
I got a wonderful concert last night, thanks to LRC Guitars. Scott Weis and Heather Houskeeper had hiked the Florida Trail from the Everglades to Oviedo and were to stay at my hoise, a kind of unofficial hostel on the Trail. When I realized that Scott was a 2012 inductee to the Blues Hall of Fame, I knew I had to get my sons inexpensive acoustic guitar fixed in a day. RJ took pity on me and got the guitar set up.Scott was delighted to have a ready-to-go guitar to play, and I was thrilled to be the audience for a 90 minute concert in my living room. Got to hear stories of touring/playing with B.B. King, Dickie Betts, Robert Plant, Lynard Skynard, Blues Traveler, many more . Thanks SO much to LRC Guitars for making this possible!
I have taken multiple guitars to LRC Guitars over the past year to be setup or to have various repairs done and have always been overly impressed by the finished product. No shortcuts, no bs, no hidden costs. I have referred several friends to RJ and think I can speak for them as well and say they too were impressed. The Thank You bags in the cases is just something you do not expect, but every guitar I drop off comes back with an extra set of strings, string winders, string cleaners, picks and other things over the year. Really a nice touch and not expected.
Brought in a low-end Ibanez classical electric with a faulty pre-amp. RJ came up with a solve that utilized the old battery slot with a new pre-amp in the hole. New input jack, cleaned frets, new strings. Thing is like a whole new guitar now and playing very sweet. RJ takes care of you. This is my go-to shop from now on.Look around, people. Dude gets nothing but 5 stars. When all the luthiers in Central Florida are gone, RJ will be standing.
My experience was fantastic! RJ was extremely nice and professional and got my guitar done in time for a wedding I was playing. I highly recommend his services!
They were amazing!!!... Got my Michael Kelly Hybrid up and running!!...
I have taken two of my guitars to LRC for professional set ups.One classical (Cordoba), and one semi-hollow body (Epiphone 339 Pro),RJ did an amazing job. He is truly an artist, upfront and honest.I will permit no one else to touch my guitars in the future.
I met RJ for the first time on 11/10/17. He is a great guy to talk guitars with. RJ let me hang out at his place for a couple hrs just shooting the breeze. He inspected all my guitars and 2 of them needed setup properly.I left them with him and on Tuesday 11/14/17 I received an email saying they were done. I picked them up and both play great. You can tell RJ has a passion for building and working on guitars. I will be going to him from now on for all my repairs. I would recommend him to anyone who needs any work done. Bill
Hi RJ,I really appreciate the time and talent you put to work in lowering the action on my Lowden F-50 guitar. I am especially grateful that you were able to do the work in one day, saving me the aggravation of fighting traffic twice from my home base. I have several high end acoustic guitars that will benefit greatly from your expertise in the future. After seeing the time and care you put into my Lowden setup I know I will be calling on you and your business many times in the future!I will be sending this review on to the Music Emporium in Lexington MA. where I purchased the Lowden.Sincerely, BradBradley L. Awesome place. Great service
I had a issue with my Gibson V90 and RJ was the only luthier able to fix that properly.
RJ is a very nice and straight forward guy, did an excellent job on my blackie strat set up. Will be back again.
