Nice place, but there is no one to ask for info, the place looks like it needs cleaning around the area and picnic tables are full of bugs and spider webs, very nice to go fishing and enjoy a evening too bad it looks haunted! 👎

Great place to rent canoes and kayaks for an hour at a time and push off for a little Adventure down the Black River or out into the mouth of the port on Lake Erie- Majestic bald eagles - herons fishing for lunch and nesting waterfowl abound along the banks of the river- If you Meander under Henderson Bridge- you pass by a spooky old marooned boat and the skeletal building remains of the steel mills Hay Day- have done this many times with miscellaneous grandkids- nice people - good salt-of-the-earth kind of folks run the place - a Charming old dog greets you at the door- definitely a thumbs up😃

Never once had a bad experience putting in or taking out here. Ample lanes, well lit at night, clean. The folks are friendly and eager to talk about whats biting. Tackle shop prices are incredibly fair. Worth $4 in my book

Took my wife and 5yr old daughter to rent a kayak for an afternoon. Everyone there was beyond nice and helpful. All around great experience. Wont go anywhere else to rent kayaks again.

Heard about kayak rentals through the Port Authority. My grandchildren came down from North Carolina and went there on July 11.Mr. Bob and Mrs Sharon were awesome. My grandkids n myself had so much fun. (It was my first time). We made it to the Lighthouse and back. They went again the next day when my daughter took them out again. An awesome place to go in Lorain for something to do in the summer.
