This has become our go-to for breakfast.Awesome breakfast burrito for him and AJs Healthnut (egg white scrambled with spinach cranberries walnuts tomatoes) for me but I had to upgrade with a waffle! Comes with potatoes yum! Everything hit the spot.Service is good, especially when its not super crowded.There is outdoor seating so we feel pretty safe.

Food was pretty good. We ate inside instead of outside. There was so many flies I had to keep swatting away. I even asked our waitress if they had a fly swatter, unfortunately they didnt. So we changed tables closer to the front door. When our food came out a handful of flies found us. Food was good but they really need to get cleaner. I dont see us returning. 😒

Had the two egg breakfast and a mimosa. Sunny side up with corned beef hash and rye toast. Very good! Service is quick and friendly. Large outdoor seating area.

Just as good on taste and service as the other Potholders. Chicken and waffles was a little pricy compared to the portions. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars.

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this excellent restaurant. happy to tell that we had a fine evening and the place was no doubt the reason for the strong meeting. The team cooperated in a graceful style, the meals were great and my friends were so overjoyed. We shall absolutely return for more joyful events. thanks very much.

Good chow here. Definitely recommend breakfast here. Many choices on menu. Seemed like I only had a few sips of my coffee when my food arrived. Eggs came as i ordered, meat well done, and toast lightly done as requested, with butter on side.Come on down folks..get your grub on!

This place has a real good breakfast from a 18 inch pancake to a ham steak bigger than the plate that it comes in. Some of their portions are gigantic, however the wait to get your food is equally gigantic. It wouldnt had seemed as long if at least someone came by to refill your coffee cup. Go there if you want a hearty breakfast and have plenty of time to burn.

Decent, pretty tasty, good service, etc. Will have to try more items over time then update this review. One thing: They definitely need a much better beer selection; draft-beers would be great. When a bottle of Blue Moon for $7.50 is the most exotic/interesting option, you know theres serious room for improvement.

1st time experience with this restaurant tried the machaca quesadilla...it was great looking forward to the next time.

I dont know how anyone can mess up a meal like breakfast. Hopefully someone else can give an honest review about this place. The food and service was so-so. I love breakfast places thats fast and delicious. This place gets a 2 Star.

Between the flies, hour wait, lack of service among other issues I just cant see myself coming back.I completely understand being understaffed on a busy Sunday, however some parts of this were just rude. Having to ask for coffee 5 times before getting it and then multiple people asking for extra napkins and then they bring 1 single napkin.The food took over an hour to come out, they did warn us there would be a longer then usual wait, it wouldnt be the biggest issue if we werent being swarmed with flies the entire time (inside the building, not outside).This was not us alone, the table behind us got up and left after waiting an un reasonable amount of time, and the table next to us had similar complaints, and even their food was wrong when brought out.Theres just too many other restaurants nearby to take a gamble and risk having terrible time again.Food was okay, underwhelming but not bad.

Service was great but the food was pretty bad. I ordered the Machaca and it came with cold unmelted cheese on the top. This is a culinary travesty that I can not stand for. The flavor was okay, it was a little more watery than it should have been; some is expected with the fresh tomato. It had been a long time since Ive been here and now I remember why.

I usually go there for breakfast. The meal is fulling and the service good.

The food here was on point, just good old comfort food. Where this place really shines is the service. Welcoming and friendly almost every member of the staff of whom there were many said at least something to our table. The food came quick and we were checked on just often enough that our drinks were full but we never felt interrupted. Would eat here again and again.

Used to be a really neat old small family type place. For some reason they changed (possible new manager or new owner) and they now are nowhere the way they were. The meal that used to take no time to make no takes 2-3 times as long and 20-30 minute lunch now takes about an hour plus. Unless I am with a group that has its mind made up they will eat no place else, I will NOT be back. :(

Went here on a Saturday morning around 11. Service was excellent and they had at least one large party they were also juggling, so kudos to our servers. We sat outside and the waitress even offered to get water for my friends dog and everything, as she was sitting under the table. There is parking in the lot on the East side of the building, such that it should never be an issue. his location is right on Katella and easy to see from the street.

I didnt know what to expect coming here but I assumed it was mostly a take out place. While I did see a lot of people doing take out, it was more sit down. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful. And the breakfast burrito I ordered was very good. It was just a touch more expensive than I was ready to pay for but it is good food with a great staff

Really decent home cooked style food. But the customer service was really top notch and that push them to 4 stars in my book. Extensive menu lots and egg dishes and like I said everything was tasty and great size portions.

We just finished our second visit to this location, and it WONT be our last! Friendly, helpful staff that work together well. They food is great, and hearty.Its never been too crowded that we had to wait for a seat, even on the weekends!

This place was recommended. I used to come to this area for 2 years 2x a month and never heard of this place. Until recently. GFood was amazing, food was made to my request, not long of a wait time, excellent service. Will definately be coming back to this place.

My favorite breakfast place. Lots of choices. And their lunches are good too.

When I returned to this location, I was surprised to see the ownership had changed. The menu is too cluttered with new items that takes us regulars to get accustomed to. I just want a simple breakfast. The atmosphere is not family friendly because it doesn’t have that traditional feeling too it. The prices are inflated to cover the upgrade they made to the place. Absolutely unnecessary and defeats the purpose of having such a restaurant in place. The quality of the food is poor. Because they added more items to the menus, the quality of the food becomes trash and unfortunately we customers are served steamy poo on a plate. Be forewarned, take your money elsewhere like to Hof’s Hut or Katella Deli.

First time we went a couple months ago it was an order at the counter and then be served, it has since switched to waitress takes your order at the table - much better. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. Something for everyone (including my picky 6 year old) and they have fast service which is nice. My kids wish they had better coloring pages, but thats hardly a complaint.

I have loved the Potholder for at least 18 years. My kids grew up on their food. I downsized my house and moved North. When I learned that there was one in Los Al, I ran over. It took over 25 minutes and my complaints to get EVEN drinks. The place was half empty on the inside. The people on the patio was being served promptly which meant that their food would be cooked before ours. We have a five year old with ous and have now waited 45 minutes and still no food. The server was rude. When I complained, she flared up, raised her hands and yelled, youre making it worse by all of this!! Theres no manager. Do yourself a favor, go to one of the Broadway locations. This place is a mess. By the way, the host tried to help.

Disappointed with the quality😥I used to love this place but I ordered eggs floreinetine asked if it comes w ham.waitress said yes..but got no ham...English muffins were stale and the hollandise sauce tasted like from a can...I ordered a side of bacon and it was overcooked burned and so SALTY couldnt eat it...my son took me for belated mothers day brunch. Tuesday May 21 so I didnt want to complain.. he ordered French Dip and said it was good

Used to be called classic burger café. Menu is 99% the same. The same wonderful staff. Still a great place to grab a bite after a long night of working.

Stopped by last week for a fish sandwich. I didnt notice that ownership had changed. The menu also has changed. I was out of luck for my fish sandwich. Ordered a BLT and a grilled cheese for my daughter. This was by far one of the worst meals I have ever had. My sandwich was served with burnt bread and my daughters sandwich barely had cheese. Even the fries were awful. I am very disappointed with all the changes and I will not be returning here.

Just went for a meet. But I noticed the dishes are BIG so if your not a big eater ...share.

Just like the other Potholders, parking sucks. Handicap parking is inconvenient. The food is as good as the L.B. Potholders but this is the only one where you have to order from a counter. So eating on the patio gets you a server to take your order--much better.

I live in downtown Long Beach we drive all the way to this particular potholder because of the great food and service

Menu is very dense and hard to parse. Food was good, though it was hard to hear inside. I ordered to go, but would sit on the patio if I was eating there.
