This place was so beautiful and informative. They had a area where you could see and hear the birds. They had several different native animals inside. My daughter wants to go every day

Beautiful spot to watch the birds and forest critters in the one way glass room, nice overlooks out any of the windows. The exhibits were nice, even for adults even though they are clearly geared for kids. If you have kids, this is a must stop and theres a play area outside that looks pretty amazing

My children loved it. Lots to see and do. Also, really helpful volunteers and the locals were very kind and easy to talk to. All ages will find something to keep their interest. Mine are teenagers and they were not bored at all. After several hours they wanted to stay longer. Well laid out and intriguing on many levels.

More then just the place where the atom bomb was developed and constructed. The Pajarito Environmental Educational Center (PEEC) is a wonderful new facility with child friendly exhibits and a world class planetarium. All just a little further away from the Bradbury Museum which is dedicated to nuclear developement and Los Alamos history.

Such a wonderful place to take the kids, especially on a snowy day. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the viewing area were very comfortable and clean. My kids enjoyed the playground area and it definitely was a plus that there was snow on the ground. This place is a must see if youre passing through this town.

I wish all nature centers were like this. The observation room is fantastic. They have comfy chairs to sit and watch the wildlife come up to the garden in the back of the center where theyve out out different feed for birds and chipmunks. The trails and gardens around the center are also impressive.

This place is amazing! My kids love it. Theres so much to learn here, a huge outdoor play area, and lots to play with inside. they have a lot of cool programs to encourage kids to hike and explore the pajarito plateau. Theres a quiet little Library where you can watch animals play outside through a one-way window, with microphones set up so you can hear them too. A few live insects and small animals to observe, a little art station, a puppet theater, guides to the different rock formations of the area, a large topographical map, and an amazing view of the canyon. completely free.

This is a fantastic place for old and young alike. They have programs throughout the week, from trail walks to toddler crafts, and the staff is always knowledgeable and extremely kind. They sell topo maps for the area (thank goodness! I was tired of getting lost on Los Alamos poor marked trails) and if your go while one of the bird experts are on staff in the back room (Wednesday mornings I believe) you will be able to see many local birds and quickly be able to identify them for yourself. Many, if not most, of the programs are free. Love this place!

A great place to visit to learn more about the area. Lots of things for kids to do, and adults can participate too. A large patio overlook to view the canyon and mountains. It also has a wildlife viewing area where the outside noise is pipped into the room. Lots of interesting birds and animals to see. A good place to spend the afternoon.

Sweet little nature center! LOVELY view of the canyon from their reading room....a delicious retreat whether its rainy (does it rain here?), snowy, or change of seasons. Digitized planetarium, interesting and interactive displays of the flora, fauna, and geography of the area. Too brief, the time there.
