This was my second experience at the futon shop and both times have been wonderful. I had to get a futon frame a few years back and Bert was so fun, helpful and polite that when my current mattress started to go flat I knew I had to come back. Vinh helped me both in finding the mattress for me and helped me when I was taking my new mattress into the car. And as always, I was treated well with patience and kindness. Its always a delight to be here and I know for sure that they are gonna be my sole destination for bedding needs!

First time futon buyer here. Walked into The Futon Shop and the staff clearly explained all of the options and helped me pick out the right one for me. Delivery was a breeze and the futon (using primarily as a couch) looks beautiful in my living room. Its very comfortable as a bed as well.An added bonus is that the futon mattresses are made in San Francisco of organic materials. No toxic off-gassing that you get with conventional couches.Two thumbs up for The Futon Shop!

I bought a bed about a month ago from this place. I never slept so good. I love my new futon. It cost me about 18k. But worth every penny. It saves me so much room during the day. Im a big guy but the bed is solid.

We went into The Futon Shop in Los Altos to look only at sofa beds, not at futons. We were greeted by Miguel, who directed us to the options on the floor and gave us a basic overview of the two types of sofa beds. Then he left us alone to check them out. When we had questions, he provided clear answers in a friendly manner and never pressured us in any way. With the sale that he told us about on the sofa bed that we liked best, it was pretty easy to decide to make the purchase on the spot. Overall, a very pleasant shopping experience.

The customer service here was fantastic. We came in twice and Miguel walked us through all of our options in detail, describing the benefits of each, and then ultimately helped us get the best price on our futon. Highly recommend it! Our futon arrived last weekend and it was easy to set up and we love it.

We pretty much knew what we were looking for and our price range but the salesperson was still very helpful. The Futons themselves are awesome. They are comfortable and incredibly easy to convert. There also isnt any noticeable pressure from the center bar that you normally get from futons of a lower build and to top it off, the deal we got wasnt priced any higher than the other futons. The videos on youtube of these futons were incredibly clear and easy to follow.

Salesperson Vinh was very knowledgeable and explained it thoroughly in our first visit..Not pushy at all...Green mattress, hypoallergenic, affordable - this shop has wide selection for green conscious, nature based living people.. the mattress delivered last week promptly as said. We are enjoying it so far.

Good Service, but please do something about the toxic smell as soon as you walk in. The chemical odor in the air gives headaches. I dont know how those poor guys who work there all day can stand it. Not Healthy!Great - to hear you will have someone look into this!! WOW!

Weve been buying mattresses & futons at the futon shop for about 10 years now. Mustve bought at-least 6 mattresses now in this period. All the mattresses seem to last about 7 years or so, and I like the cool feel of cotton. Ive had good service every time Ive visited as well. On the whole, Im very happy.

This place has a great selection of high quality futons. The customer service is fantastic. Miguel is wonderful at explaining the differences between the various products and offer insightful comments when selecting fabrics, colors etc. If he doesnt know a specific detail, he will promptly call and find out. We love the fact that they offer mattresses have organic fillers and covers and are made locally.

We live in a one room apartment, and my parents in law came visit us. In respect of the elders, we let them slept in our room, and decided to buy a sofa bed for ourselves. We went to several furniture companies, but the ones they have are either over our budget or looks ugly. Then we found this Futon Shop which looks clean and bright, so decided to go in and take a look. The staff Vinh is very friendly, helpful, and gives us enough space to think through. Theres this black sofa bed name Matrix, which has a stylish looking and fits in our small living room. Since the price is also fare, we decided to buy it and got the sofa bed the second day. I feel the quality is good, and no problems squeezing two people in it. I can say I love it, and will recommend others to buy the same.

Last week at the Futon Shop in Los Altos we ordered a twin loveseat futon -- basically a futon chair that folds out into a true twin-size futon bed (not the skinny cot-size ones that say they are twin). The chair and ottoman should be ready this week. We opted to pick it up but we could have had it delivered. We had a really good experience at the store. Miguel helped us understand the various options (frame styles, mattress options, cover fabrics, etc) and then let us wander around and try things out to our hearts content. We wanted to find a good solution for adding a good quality (and comfortable!) guest bad to a small bedroom that already has a twin bed in it. We think this futon chair will be perfect and will last a long time. And we could use it elsewhere in the house if our needs change later -- it is a nice looking piece of furniture.

The sales person, Miguel, helped our family pick out which frames had the options and finish we wanted. He was also very knowledgeable with the futon mattress construction. He knew requirements for us to request a mattress free from the flame retardant chemicals. Patient, excellent service, good product.

Great experience. I did a little research before purchasing. They had exactly what they advertised at the sale price advertised. I was able to walk in and walk out in 15 minutes. Vinh was professional and helpful.

I ordered two side sleeper pillows from the website (One latex, one wool). The wool one was lumpy (like sleeping on a baseball). When I opened it to smooth the wool I noticed very dirty wool; alot of grass, straw and little slivers were mixed with the wool. I emailed them last week and no response.

I purchased a wall hugger loveseat here. Having the separate love seat and ottoman which folds underneath is convenient and makes moving much easier. Service was not pushy - they let me browse at my own pace and answered questions as needed.
