Such a wonderful experience creating a custom basket. Theres a fantastic selection of many different items, most made by local artisans and other small businesses! It was so fun to put everything together and chat with the owner! He was so kind, thoughtful, and funny, and listened to what I wanted to create a wonderful basket. I even got to choose what ribbon color and basket style I wanted! I wish I had known about this store sooner, Ill definitely be referring friends & family, and coming back myself. :)

Very welcoming atmosphere, no pressure, very helpful!I walked if they sold wine to include in a gift basket, they don’t but said I can buy some at Draeger’s or Safeway. I went and bought 2 bottles and they made a beautiful basket for me and kept it to the price I asked.Very happy with the service and the quality products.

You will become a master gift giver here. Jim has excellent ideas and unique merchandise at a variety of price levels. My colleges and clients rave about everything - and are impressed that so much of it is locally crafted. Literally people text me to say, Where did you get that toffee?, I send them to Jim at Present.

We stopped by here after my wife had some special volcanic bottled water at an event and found out they sold it. When we went in we bought 2 of their 3 cases for the guests at our wedding (everyone loved it) and they even had enough of the informational fliers to make sure everyone got one.

PRESENT (a play on words for the gifts themselves and the act of giving) is a great place to find locally sourced crafts, foods and gifts. Add to that the amazingly artful gift wrap and you have a winning option in town for gift giving. Ive had small local gifts wrapped and sent to relatives overseas (CA almonds and small glass dishes made in Oakland) and thank you gifts selected and sent as well (jams, biscotti, ice cream toppings from Los Altos and San Francisco). The staff ( most notably the two Jims) have an eye for the artful gift and are generous in allowing taste testing. Their seasonal wrapping makes every gift, however small, an amazingly creative present!
