If you want to do your shopping in style, this convenience store is the cheapest to try. They have a diverse selection of both domestic and international brands. It was well priced and of good quality. The veggie section is amazing, with many items that are not available elsewhere. This supermarket comes highly recommended by me.

Its very small and easy to miss, just make sure to keep an eye out for the parking entrance. Keep your ticket with you because you need to give it to the cashier to verify it. Overall, it was a great shopping experience.

Most of the products are imported from Thailand, so If you need authentic Thai ingredients this is the place to go. I was interested in the cultural experience of visiting this supermarket. I wanted to make a Buddha bowl and I was looking for different varieties of rice or unique genuine ingredients that would make for an interesting recipe. This supermarket has many different kinds of rice; red rice, brown rice, Jasmine rice, etc., but what I liked the most is that you can buy a small package of rice and try different varieties without over purchasing. In general, the supermarket experience can be overwhelming for a novice, if you dont know what you want or have a recipe in mind. If you are new to Thai cuisine, I would recommend that you look for a recipe so that you dont feel lost in wonderland....wondering what is what. I went with a friend from Thailand and that helped me navigate the supermarket. Overall, its just fun to explore different cultures so if you want to keep it simple, just get their premade desserts and snacks.

I love this grocery shop! I was having a hard time when and where to buy Asian products here in the city. But this grocery shop had so many varieties of Asian goods. A wide and spacious grocery shop was the reason that I loved this shop. I like going in here because of their fresh veggies, fish, meats, and fruits. Their salad section was massive. They had all types of salad. You cant get lost here because the labeling is clear and visible to read. Wonderful shop!

Dirty but has the most authentic Thai groceries in LA. And at a great price. Take note, although they close at 6pm, they stop allowing customers to ENTER at 5:45pm so they check-out BY 6pm.

Solid Thai supermarket that has been around for decades. Easy validated parking in the rear of the market.

Every time i go to Asian grocery store, theres one important thing that i must check is expiration date. I kinda have a mix feeling about this store between i love it cos they have stuff that regular grocery stores dont have and i hate it cos its not really clean. Produce like shallots, gingers, onions etc are a lot cheaper than Ralph or Pavilion. They also have variety of Asian snacks, curry paste and sauces. The best thing is they provide convenient private parking spot behind the premises and free for the first 40 min (with validation). I usually come here once in a month to get something i cannot find at regular grocery stores.

You still have a selection of items from which to choose. This grocery shop is a location for those who want to grow food in long queuing lines for payment without much hassle. Fresh produce is of decent quality at a very affordable price. The store was well-maintained and not busy. All they have for you! Greatly recommended!

For the last minute gift, this market has everything you will need. The wine selection is immense, great assortment. the garden shop has beautiful flowers, bouquets, plants, all at reasonable prices.

At first, this store can seem overwhelming, especially if you are not accustomed to Thai cuisine or brands. But if you are familiar, then this place is heaven sent.There is a meat section that carries cuts of pork, chicken and beef, alongside a fairly extensive seafood selection. Salmon, shrimp, tilapia, catfish. Decently priced, not sure if they are farm-raised or caught wild.Their beauty aisle holds soaps, cosmetics, shampoos and hair accessories. Tons of hair dye colors. All sorts of herbal remedies and a huge selection of teas - both bagged, instant and loose leaf. I got a pound of dried rosella flower for $6.99.Towards the back left is the fresh produce. Bok choy, brussle sprouts and Thai coconuts are readily stock. There is a small section for beer and sake. And a pretty large selection of ready made drinks with fun selections such as basil seed tea.Favorite part about this store is all the homemade food. Hainan chicken with rice and sauce can be found right next to the checkout station for $8. You can find fresh coconut milk pudding with jelly for $4 near the produce. Lots of fried bananas, dried bananas, and bananas in general.Parking is free for 40 minutes with at least a $5 minimum. Lot is located behind the store. Credit cards and debit cards are accepted with a $10 minimum.If you have the time, go check out the Ganesh statue to the left of the store outside. Beautifully decorated, made me feel like I was in Bangkok for a second.

Best Silom Supermarket place ever! Been coming here since I was a kid and wont stop. Always get the colossal Silom Supermarket and the breaded for my son. Must try them.

This is a great little cozy grocery in the heart of Piedmont Aves business district. If you need something quick than this is your place to go. Fair warning: The prices are higher than that of the big box grocers, and you will not find sales either. The butchers in the deli are very helpful and the overall customer service is wonderful. Another bonus is that they have their own parking.

Beyond over priced items. They are ripping people off, items that should be $2 cost $6, shameless stores, marking up prices during pandemic. Boycott this store, do not let them overcharge low income communities. It’s as if Asian communities are practicing price gouging to benefit themselves which is illegal and immoral in this country especially during pandemic, it may not be illegal in there country, it is in the US. Do not support store, until prices drop to fair prices.

They always have the best ingredients for my recipes. They wont break the bank, and the ingredients are always fresh. The staff is often helpful and friendly. A plus is that the lines are never long.

Best place to get your proteins and vitamins! Sam and Angel (I believe) well he was there today 8/14, are excellent at helping and giving advice as what to get and use. And what they have recommended it has helped me a lot and seen a lot of difference in my body and hes been told.

Really good store, has a lot of items and foods you can get outside of Thailand that it’s not available anywhere else. Thai Town is an amazing place that anyone should visit when they go to L.A. This is the place you shouldn’t miss at all.

Great THAI herbs

I carried this day pillow/bed all the way from Silom Supermarket all the way back to Washington.

It has vegan meats and a great selection of Asian vegetables. I recommend!

They have quite a variety of goods, I was surprised to see Kaffir Lime leaves of all things (try cooking with them some time, they smell just like fruit loops) and it seems as though they keep tools and spices in stock for commercial use as well as personal. Some markets seem to have a few better prices and ingredients depending on what youre looking for so shop around the various markets in the area if you really want to stretch your dollar. They do have good prices though.

Its a Thai market. They have everyting you need to make Thai food. They also have sugar and t.p. so if there is another apocalypse i know where Im going.

I went to this market today and bought a whole catfish and asked the man behind the counter to cut and fry it. I can not believe what I received when I got home to eat this mess. WHO in their right mind fries fish WITHOUT ANY type of seasoning or cornmeal....he cut it and put it directly in the fryer. The smell is so bad because apparently the grease that is being used to cook it in is old. Nasty can’t even describe this waste of food and money. I called and spoke with a woman who says she is the manager and she says this is standard cooking instructions, no seasoning except sprinkle salt on it after it’s cooked. She mumbled something while I was giving my complaint so that shows they don’t care. Shame on Silom Market for this mess. It went straight to the trash. DO not have them fry your fish at Silom market

I shop here relatively often and this place has everything from freshly made desserts and imported east Asian goods (mostly Thai) to imported and domestic beer and a few brands of cigarettes. Great deals all around.

Probably I wouldve stepped inside here eventually anyway, but I came here several days ago because Bangkok Market on Melrose Ave closed in mid November 2019, and I wanted to check out the other nearby Thai markets, to look for some things and the type of things I used to find at Bangkok Market. I had been going to Bangkok Market often since the 1980s. So my review is mostly about comparing Silom market to Bangkok Market. Bangkok Market had a bright, welcoming great atmosphere, so heres my impression of Silom market from when I first stepped into it: the lighting was rather dim yellow light, the place looked like a large room in a warehouse, and the back of the store has a large entrance/exit to an interior parking, which, because its covered from the sun, looks like the entrance to an underground parking, giving Silom market an underground cave feel. Which is very different from Bangkok Market. I didnt like that cave - like feel. Some might like it. Now, the place seems to be well-stocked with many Thai products. They have fresh fish and meat, more meat probably than Bangkok Market had, but Bangkok probably had more types of fish. They have a produce section, but not as much produce as Bangkok Market had. There were some juices I would find at Bangkok Market that I didnt find here, and there are some brands of juices that I didnt find here. I didnt find any Mangosteen juice, one example (Bangkok Market had Mangosteen juice, and from a Thailand brand, a very good juice). They had Basil Seed juice, but while Bangkok had the Thai brand Foco, imported from/product of Thailand, Silom market had only a brand of Basil Seed juice imported from/product of Taiwan (not sure which one is better). And I know how to search through different aisles in these stores, they dont put all the juices in one place; some are kept cold, some are in a different aisle, some are sold in large bundles at the other end of the store. So didnt find some juices I wanted to find. I miss Bangkok Market even more now. I was also disappointed by Bangluck Market. These markets on Hollywood Blvd are also not close to me. So now Ill mostly go to the Philipino market Tambuli on Vermont Ave near Melrose Ave, I like that place more than Silom or Bangluck and its closer and I find some of the things I want there. But Bangkok Market was the best from them.

I went there for the first time tonight! It has a great selection of pantry, cooking, and fresh produce. Only place where I didnt have to buy a bulk bag of bean sprouts, but get just the amount needed for spring rolls--which is very small! Fresh, though prepackaged, Thai basil & mint. Ive been going to 2 other Thai groceries in the neighborhood but I love this little grocery! It has much better Quality of fresh produce, and a larger selection of items overall--I could even pick up Korean kimchee here! This will be my go-to market for Thai food from now on. Thanks, Silom!

If you love Thai food and are eager to find the necessary ingredients to try your hand at thai cooking at home--this is the place. This one stop supermarket in the core of Thai Town has legitimate, Thai ingredients that arent westernized. Its truly a gem. The prices are exceptionally reasonable, the products are sound, and what better than to shop for Thai and then splurge on the copious amount of Thai restaurants!

I go here for all my Thai/Asian food needs! Cheap prices and they have free parking once you validate inside. Their pre-made curry pastes are so good! They have pretty much every ingredient you could ever need to make Thai dishes.

Nice Thai grocery store. Selection and prices arent at the level of the big Asian grocery stores in the SGV. Still, probably the best Asian grocery store in central LA.40 minutes free parking with validation.

Has products hard to find at other stores, relative good prices, but went 2 times in 2 weeks and find a very uncomfortable smell, like a very dirty bathroom, but inside the store, I was with my son and had to leave because of the smell. Will be a good market if take a better care of the store cleaning.

You wouldnt notice it from the street unless you were looking for it, there is a parking lot and they validate. Its a little dirty, but thats part of the charm, it was similar to small shops in Thailand. Definitely found somethings that Ive only seen in Thailand.

Today I went there bought a lot of fresh food but three bags of soy milk they said expired date 13/1/20 I just saw when I’m home what should I do!! How come some stuffs that already expired still on the shelf?

I really love this Whole Foods. The guys at the fish counter will always cut the fish for me, and the sushi counter chef will make salmon Nigeria with brown rice. I also had a guy in the produce department give me a flight tasting of some cherry tomatoes once. It can get annoyingly crowded, but the service can be impressive.
