Cool hidden little spot with la river bike trail access. Coffee was great! and lots of seating on a saturday morning.
First time checking out this place and it was pretty awesome.Food-wise:* I got the breakfast burrito: delicious with a little spicy kick from some tasty sauce they put on it* Friend got the banana with honey on toast: delicious. Came on these big chunks of bread that I was told was delightfulDrinks:* Cold brew was tastyVibes:* Place just has a very cool vibe along the LA River.Highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. Beer selection and rest of menu looks great, so will def be back at a later hour for that.
Really liked the idea. Food was good if a little pricey. But my GFs order never came. Multiple inquiries resulted in finding out the order was never put in. So they had to scramble to make it quickly, but after waiting so long we almost were going to ask for our money back. Food did come and person was apologetic and said there would be no charge. Problem was, we already paid. So, good ideas, poor execution.
Fun place to eat at along the LA River! Lots of veggie options and a great variety of drinks too. My only complaint is that theyre not open later.
Absolutely awesome. Perfect place along the Los Angeles River to grab something to drink or a full meal. And who knew they rent bikes too. I made a 24 Mile round trip on the LA River with a Metro rental bike from downtown Los Angeles. This is the perfect spot to start a LA River bike ride with one of the spoke bike rentals. The watermelon lemonade was out of this world.
Spoke Bicycle Cafe is a really perfect place if you want to go for a ride along the LA River and then meet friends for food and drinks. The food is generally pretty good and the portions are quite generous. The one thing I would not come here for is the bicycle service though. Well I appreciate that the guy who works there is very enthusiastic about cycling, he talks endlessly to the point where you feel like youre never actually just going to get the thing you need. I know this seems like something nitpicky, but there was one time where we were there for literally an hour and never got to buy the thing we wanted to buy because he was talking too much. Sometimes, you just want to get the thing and go, and he doesnt seem to pick up on those social cues.
Great spot for a break after a good bike ride. Some great healthy food choices and some great beers to wash down the food. Friendly atmosphere. Bike shop comes in handy for them unexpected repairs.
I like the place and all foods are delicious! Highly recommended.
Lively place just off bike trail. I cant give 5 stars without eating the delicious food but our experience was fun. Glad we stopped in and glad i tried the kambucha. Definitely going back and planning to explore the menu - From what i see, there are both veggie and meat friendly options.Espresso was closed but will be trying that too.
Nice place to eat after a ride on the bicicle also there is a bike shop there.
This place is absolute perfection if you are looking for a quick bite and some bicycle community. The entire place is outdoors, great for Covid era. They have tons of different dishes but I always get my bike combo: avocado toast + Kombucha! Just delicious. It is not called bike kombo but I just baptized it 😉. The crew is young and super friendly. And yes, you can park your bike there. Go! Pics taken w/ Pixel 4xl
True the location is great right along the LA River and the outdoor murals and out door shade seating are welcoming with a great vibe. But my experience that day with what I ordered was to put it nicely bad. First I ordered a Spoke burger figuring its a signature dish its got to be good right? Wrong! I was given a cheese burger with strange garnish, a greasey bun and smelly cheese that I had to scrap off. The tasty but oversalted fries were swimming in oil with bits of other fried food in them. And the watermelon in the watermelon lemonade tasted like it was spoiled. I was tempted to send everything back and try again but my lunch break was a short one today. Maybe it was a bad kitchen day, I would like to try again since I dont work very far away and I love the River view.
Awesome popular spot along the bike path. Great food and drinks. Free water and air. Dog friendly. Excellent.
Food and coffee was good and worth the price I paid! I waited over an hour for my sandwich though which is what ultimately takes this review from a 5 to 4 star.
A great place to stop by during a walk or ride along the river.I always get the vegan breakfast bun and the crispy potatoes. The waffle fries are also surprisingly yummy.
Great place! Cant wait to come here on the weekend again.
This is such a calm amazing environment has bike rentals and games for kids the food is amazing I had the burger and dont regret it! The fries are to die for. I was recommended by my girlfriends tattoo artist @funkadelics (gram) who has a studio around the block I am so happy she told us a bout this its truly a gem!
They rent and fix bikes and their patio is really nice. You can also eat by the river.Their vegan breakfast is absolute delicious. Crowded on the weekends so order ahead if you can.
It can get super crowded on weekends but it’s awesome and the food can’t be beat. Everyone is so friendly and they have a great bike shop!
Such a delicious breakfast Tostada! Nice and cozy sun spots outside but enough shade too in case the sun is being all powerful. They always got some smooth jams playing here. Otto is amazing!! The kindness from all of the staff here makes me feel excited to keep coming back. For the unique combo of flavors for this dish, it really changed the game on how I rate breakfast tostadas from now on. It’s creamy, it’s cronchy! It’s oh so tasty!
Love this spot. Good food and drink. I will always come here esp for the bike riding. It reminds of cool spots i liked to relax at in new Orleans...
A welcoming place for cyclists, pedestrians, and local residents. Great food and drinks served. Bike shop, repairs, accessories, and rentals. Many bicycles to choose from.Along the Los Angeles River. Great stop for a quick bite. Live music. Great views of the Los Angeles River, trains, and mountains.
The setting was beautiful by staying open air, and the other customers were all considerate of one another. My food was good, and I was pleased the Cafe has a menu with so many delicious, unique offerings.I wish it were a bit easier to navigate the order/pick-up lines, though. I had a question about a drink and couldnt figure out where I could get an answer without breaking the rules. All in all, I am so glad my friend took me here so I have another good local business to frequent.
Always a great place for cyclist to gather and take a break from riding. Some has a full kitchen and they serve more than cyclists. Its such a fun place and I love their outdoor space.
Good coffee and cool little spot right off the bike path... The mechanics there are super polite and nice as well. Will return!
This place is awesome. I like the bike path access from the LA River.
Came here for lunch after a 20 mile bicycle ride. Definitely worth it . I enjoyed my time here
Great place for bicycle repair and very affordable. Food is good too and a great place to relax on the LA river bikepath.
Very pleasant outdoor cafe. Food is solid. Coffee good. Kitchen is small and staff is over worked. So can be slow. Shares space with bike repair shop. Good LA River offering.
Great ambiance, great food and drinks. They do a lot of events for the community! Excited for them to open up fully after the pandemic so I can get back to hanging out here. For now Ill just do pick up food on weekends to support!
I cant imagine a better spot for a cafe located and nestled by the Los Angeles river.. wait you didnt ride a bike there its cool rent one from the shop !! And dont forget to grab a couple of pints to make that bike ride a real adventure . I Enjoyed the the river bed wild life on the journey .. ask for the Copenhagen bike.. its electric! Also the spoke burger !! So many good things to say .. so little time to write it all Down ;) cheers
Scenery is really good. Music is ok. Waiting time is infinite. Come if you have all day to wait.
My comment is about the bicycle shop. The bicycle shop mechanic is pretty knowledgeable but she also is patient and took the time to thoroughly explain what was wrong with my bike and what she was going to do about it. The coffee is okay
Great service, cool shop, honest advice
So good. Only thing that was inconvenient was that the card reader was down so we had to download the app to pay since we didnt have cash. You can walk around the back for extra seating! Adorable little area
Got an Arnold Palmer and the BLAT from here for takeout since we cant dine in. #covidlife supper tasty and would definitely get both again. Thus spot would be lovely for dine in and chilling and or a beer. Cant wait until it opens again!
Great place to take a break on the LA River Path...
Extra thanks to Tommy for swapping in my new pedals, installing cleats, and a little extra TLC for my bike. Amazing customer service. And as always, CAis awesome.
Cool spot right on the bike path. Great coffee!
Ambiance is great but food is also delicious!! Grilled cheese sandwich was excellent. Veggie burger was ok but with the aioli it was good. Finally, definitely get the waffle fries. Overall such a pleasant vibe and enjoyable spot for lunch.
The food was delicious and seemed freshly made. I ordered an iced green tea watermelon lemonade and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. There was enough seating so people could social distance while they ate. Definitely recommend this place. (And they serve beer)
Just a heads up that Tyler, in the snowboard section, was super helpful in picking me a new board. he even fixed my bindings free of charge, and made sure my flow bindings worked on my Burton board. this place rocks!
I only wish that more baristas opened spots along the bike trail. Spoke is unique, home grown, and totally reflective of the young creative community that lives in Frog town. Great food, great coffee. Go Spoke!
One of my favorite places in all of LA. BEST veggie burger, delicious coffee drinks and good beer on draft. Perfect place to get a drink and draw or write for awhile.
The food here is surprisingly good. In the past, I had passed it many times on the bike path without stopping, but after trying their avocado, tempeh, lettuce and tomato sandwich, its now an essential part of every ride. And the outdoor dining area has a great vibe. Dont miss out!
Cool spot.
Great place for a stop while biking.
Its nice, but they never seem to be prepared for people to eat and have a drink. You can spend 40 minutes or more in line just waiting to order.
Great hidden spot café in LA
Love the food! Unfortunately, the waiting time is long.
Really love this spot, a great local cafe off the bike trail. Dog friendly, definitely gets busy during weekend brunch, expect LA prices but I still keep going back for their BLT
Sloooww service. Took and hour to get food, not that busy. Meat loaf burned, fries awful... over priced.
Staff is friendly, location is quaint and awesome at the same time. Avocado toast was tasty. Best part was Jenny at the bike shop who refused to let me ride my death machine without making sure it was tuned properly. She went above and beyond and even stayed a little over quitting time to make sure i can ride safe. I truly appreciate that. Great place.
This place has a great vibe and atmosphere. Ive only been here while it was really busy, and though the line to order was long, weve never had to wait too long for our drinks or food after weve ordered. The food is delicious and the servings are quite generous. I too experienced a lot of flies, but I suppose that goes with the territory. However, I am wondering if Spoke Bicycle Cafe could possibly install fly traps to improve the patrons experience?
This is my new favorite flower shop. I learn something different about flowers every time I come. The ladys are very welcoming and informative. The shop is clean and cozy and they have plenty of flowers to choose from. The quality of flowers is great and long lasting, making me a return customer. Let the ladys know what your looking for and they will design the perfect arrangement.
Live the vegan breakfast tacos super yummy.. wish the service was more welcoming and friendlier..but cei la vie
Its dope the place is hospitalable
Really great! The food was delicious and the staff was super nice and the bluegrass band was bumpin. It can get a little busy on weekends so get in early for the best seats.Dog and family friendly!
Awesome cafe w plenty of outside (socially distanced) space. Coffee and cookie were tasty and I enjoyed my read 🤙
This hidden eatery is a hip and trendy outdoor spot youll want to spend every sunny afternoon. Along the LA bike trail, you can stop in for some tasty treats. I had the California chop salad while my companions enjoyed the kale salad and Burger with waffle fries., Great reviews all around. Another cool thing about this place is the bike rental shop thats attached, as well as a ping pong table. Overall its a really cool spot.
Amazing place
