I went to pick up a book for my sister at the book store. The older gentle thats African American assisted me so much and with lots of patience. I was so grateful he did, I was in so much pain from my cancer that I literally was so happy and grateful for him. Workers like him are what we should have more of out there in the world..

This is my experience with the bookstore at LATTC. These are the pros, the bookstore is clean. I cannot think of anything else other than that. These are the cons. Poor leadership from the supervisor and management. Over priced merchandise. Poor business ethics. Let me get to my experience. I bought a product from the bookstore. It was a defective product. The product did not work. and was later proven to be defective by the MTA metro board. I had to go to a hearing. I bought the U Pass the first day of the semester and it did not work properly. The very next day I returned to get a replacement. The bookstore gave me the run around and I never got to see the management. I returned many times to speak to the first line in order to address the defective U PASS. I never got to see the manager, Ramona H. The leadership simply did not want deal with me. The bookstore employees tried to prevent from seeing the management. I did see the management only because I demanded to see them because they were avoiding me. The bookstore rental cop would call for the sheriffs when I entered the bookstore because they directed him to do that. This was done in order to prevent me from seeing the leadership. I got to speak to the 2 different supervisors. Both had heavy accents. I do not remember the female supervisor name. It was a burden for her to address to the issue and gave me the run around as well. The second supervisor I spoke to was very reluctant to address this issue and his name is Farah F. He also had a thick accent. Both these individuals are not American and by no means is that a problem. I have a problem with the supervisors attitude of you bought it so its yours now. That is a tactic practiced in other countries not ours. The U Pass was proven to be defective by the board. I was cited for the U Pass I bought from the LATTC bookstore. I was cited by the MTA and that is why I appeared before the MTA board. The MTA board found that the U Pass was only working properly. Here is a little more, I am cold, impersonal and cynical. Just like a dead body. Yet all I am telling the truth. I will follow up with the better bussines bureau. I am going to fix the LATTC bookstore because your broke. If it feels like I am head hunting …. Shout out to all veterans like me. I am Ruben.

The programs offered are exellent. These programs are what students need in order to improve self confidence to talk at work, in our family, our church, and to share ideas and how to keep our dreams alive. The teachers are Profesionals. They make learning easier.

The crew and I were back at it again this time counting the inventory in the student center. Like the rest of us, cutting corners and focusing on selling the longtime resident items on the lackluster shelves. School clothing is abundant as well as snacks.

If you dont attend Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, then why do you need to come here? It serves its purpose. But the books here are more expensive than the books at the USC college bookstore. If you need a scantron, you have to go here, the scantron vending machines no longer exist; this can be very problematic when students may be take a final test and the bookstore is closed because its a Saturday.Yup, I took one star off, because they took a day off. Students rely on this store. Where else can I get a damn pencil!? By walking all the way to the Office Depot? No thank you.I took another star off not because of overpriced items, but just simply because this isnt a five star bookstore, it doesnt need to be, and it sure as hell doesnt try to be.This place works, well enough. Although sometimes there are REALLY long lines. And there doesnt seem to be much room for inventory, so things do go out of stock for a while. I mean their damn ice cream freezer was completely empty for almost two weeks once, and the sandwich cooler gets empty too.I dont believe the school owns this bookstore, but I still get that socialist state-run-enterprise vibe sometimes. Not a lot of work gets done in this bookstore, theres not a lot of people to do it ether, theres not much need on their (managements) part ether. Theres not a lot, everywhere. At least they finally updated their damn card terminals, they used to not be able to accept PINs for debit cards. And they used to ask for ID every single time, and I once had to walk all the way to an ATM by USC to withdraw cash, because I forgot my ID that day.Yeah, good times...

Everything is too pricey and if it wasnt because there are items here that you cant get from any other store I wouldnt even shop here. Plus knowing there are certain subject that requires certain material they are never well stocked on materials. For example my Biology 5 Manual, it was well over 3 weeks before they got a shipment to restock the shelves.
