We were hired to pick up an item for a customer that purchased a credenza. We called days in advance and arranged pick up and pick up time. Phone records and text messages to prove it. When we showed up the item could not be located. Then they said oh it must be at our other location. Unfortunately we have a limited number of stops we can make in a day. When business like this dont understand that its not easy on our drivers schedule you bounce around stop to stop for their mistake. Mark got very upset and wrote a nasty letter because i driver said she didnt have time to run to the other location that day but could come back another day. In his email he tried lying and blaming our company for not being professional...that we showed up unannounced and our driver was lazy. Mark seriously has anger issues because when we called him he said he didnt care. He would not take responsibility for giving us the wrong address to go to. Continued to call my team lazy and unprofessional. I tried reasoning with him showing him proof we did call and arrange pick up days in advance and a pick up time. We sent a text as well. And we tried arranging a pick up time for another date. He just Continued to yell on phone upset our driver did not simply go to the other location to get the item. We will not be doing business with this guy ever again. He cant admit fault and from the other reviews read it seems like Im not the only one he takes his anger out on and puts blame on for his mistakes.

Absolutely the worst customer service Ive had. Went to the gallery and was greeted with a cold shoulder. Like i was disturbing their day by even being there. Woman was constantly on her phone and it was clear it was personal phone call. Unable to assist me or answer any questions. Young kid working for them was the only one helpful. I ended up buying a fountain and 2 chairs. They expected me to load the fountain in my car myself. These weigh a ton. They wouldnt move other Items out of the way so that my item could actually be removed from their store. I told them wanted the chairs shipped to our other house. When they arrived they arrived damaged. I tried to refuse delivery but their delivery service said that they have to leave the item and in order to return items i would need a return slip. I immediately called and they wanted me to pay for return shipping for their damaged items they delivered. I finally gave in and paid for return shipping. I asked for a refund and they wanted to fix chairs and ship them back to me. I was no longer interested in doing business with this company and just wanted my money back. Then they tried to blame me for the damage chairs and said they can fix them free of charge but i was no getting a refund. I cant believe how Mark talks to me on the phone. He practically was yelling at me to come pick up the chairs if i didnt want them damaged by his shipping service. I am still stunned by the whole experience. Never again will i set foot in that store. And buyer beware that all these people care about is money. Oh and while i was there another customer walked in and left upset as well making remarks to her husband how bad the customer service was and how the woman was on the phone the whole time. LAZY WORKERS. ring a bell Mark. Just my opinion this company sucks

BEWARE! A few weeks ago, I purchased two Reclaimed Wood & Iron Bar Stools. The online description states that the WOODS are unique to each chair, but what arrived at my home were two completely different chairs, constructed of different metals. Additionally, one was missing the end cap to its iron leg. For three consecutive weeks I have tried to resolve the issue. But much to my frustration, because I didnt notify the seller with 48 hours of delivery, (I notified them within 4 days) they refuse to accept a return, or an exchange. Today, Mark Poirier at Design Mix in LA agreed to exchange the chairs if I am willing to pay all shipping costs for the return, and the new delivery. Considering I am in Massachusetts, thats a hefty expense, and one I shouldnt have to bear. Bottom line: they misrepresented their product, and use a 48-hour window for gotcha! sales tactics.

Beautiful and unique home decoration products! They are moving to the other side of La Brea and are having 50% off deal. The new store is already open and is next to Starbucks. One item I highly recommend is lamps. Ive never seen so many beautifully designed lamps before.

I do not recommend this place. They sold me chairs that were not in stock, and informed me wed have to wait by e-mail the day after my purchase. I told them at the time that we needed them for an occasion taking place a couple of months later. When we agreed to wait several weeks, they were further delayed. At that point, we asked for a refund because they were very much needed for the specific occasion, which was a couple of weeks away at that point. The store refused and stated that we should have paid more for a guarantee that wed receive them by a certain date. a) that was not stated to me at the time of purchase and b) that was not at all the way to respond to a customer when the delay was not expected and the delivery dates were repeatedly misrepresented. The attitude was appalling.Only after I reported this to American Express did this store move heaven and earth (their words) to get us the chairs in time for the event. However, my client had already purchased others because they had not told us that they would make any attempt whatsoever to fix the situation, other than offering to lend us chairs that did not work at all with the decor. This was a very unpleasant and unfortunate situation. I will never shop here again. Plenty of stores in Los Angeles offer the same items at much better prices, and treat customer service with the importance it merits. BUYER BEWARE!

Great selection of unique imported furniture. I sometimes wonder about if they ethically source the products, for instance some pieces seem like they should be in a museum. They constantly have a 50% sale, so my guess is they overprice the products and have a 50% gimmick sale. Just my opinion. We purchased here a number of times, so the pieces they do have are unique and beautiful. Just somethings to keep in mind...

If youre looking for cool furniture and great customer service, this is the place. Ask for Mark Poirier if hes available - I had his help with purchasing a table and getting it shipped from LA to Toronto, and he was courteous and patient and accommodating throughout the entire experience. I came to Mark with a complicated request and a lot of logistical questions and he was nothing but welcoming and helpful. Five star service.
