Cannot recommend this place enough! Friendly, courteous staff. Quirky and fun atmosphere. Fair prices. And an ABUNDANCE of footwear to choose from.Been shopping at this place for years, since way back when they were at their La Brea location. Wholly recommended.
Great finds. Amazing time to shop there. Staff actually seemed super friendly (they havent been in the past). Very happy with this purchase and it was a reasonable price.
Do not sell here.Came in to sell, made the appointment 3 days prior, called in the morning to confirm, and they don’t have my reservation on their list, so they cancelled my appointment, effectively wasting my time.
I have always found my treasures at this location! They have relocated and I never got a chance to read the sign they had on their door for the new address. If any of you all know please let me know! They used to have a small parking space, which was super convenient. This shop was right down the street from where I used to live. :( Pretty bummed they moved and I hope its somehow better? I hope?
I was very disappointed with this store. I called in on a Thursday to make appointments sell clothes on Sunday. I made three different appointments to sell with my friends together. I was asked for names, phone numbers and emails to settle the appointment and was given the appointment times. When we got there the staff told me that they didn’t got our appointment on their list. I will not going anymore to this store
The employees weren’t very welcoming and did not help whatsoever.
I got here pretty frightened because I had read so many bad reviews but I had a great experience. The person who scheduled my appointment to sell clothes was really nice and pleople at the store too.
Cool stuff!
Been shopping at buffalo since i was 12. Im 29 now and visited maybe 20 locations. This one is by far the worst. Its HYPEBEAST central with the pricing sometimes exceeding retail. When theyre fair they are fair, but maybe 1 out of every 20 visits youll walk out happy. Just go to round two and dont waste your time here. But the managent is dope!
P. S. changed from 2 to 1 star. They closed 2 other Los Angeles locations, combined those 2 stores in this dirty cluttered store, all full of junk. Unbelievable. It looks like they buying from their own weirdo friends. Quality of merchandise diminished significantly over the years! Use to be a good store to sell and buy.
Came 45 minutes before it closed just to wait 10 minute outside to have an employee say the store was closed even thought the sign said it was “open”
So unbelievably pretentious!!! I should’ve known better than to go to a location in west Los Angeles, full of completely pretentious and judging people.Absolutely incredible how pretentious they were. They would take one look at a shirt I HAD JUST WASHED and had no wear whatsoever and throw it in the bag. They told me that items from H&M and Zara can really only be washed once before they wear. Once. What???! These are USED CLOTHES. There was literally nothing wrong with them.I even had several items that were BRAND NEW and hadn’t been worn ONCE and they rejected them. There was literally nothing wrong with the clothes I brought in. The were all from middle level to upper middle clothing brands, cleaned, and had no wear on them. This place is full of pretentious, hipster, west LA people of the WORST KIND.I strongly advise you avoid using this location.
They resell gently used fashion and cater to a variety of trends, so you can find some really great and unique stuff if you take the time to look through everything. Its a good place to check out periodically because their whole inventory entirely depends on whos letting go of their stuff, whos working on their buying staff, and who was shopping there just before you. Its hit or miss all around, so its best not to have a lot of specific expectations about what youre looking for when shopping here.
Be careful of some of the buyers. Not only they are way too picky and pass on good usable items but worse they will often cheat you and pay you pennies on high end shoes and clothing.
The employees are sooo rude here. Its like high school, the employees have a very you cant sit with us vibe. No need for the attitude, just want to sell some items! Ive been here 10+ times (to both shop and sell) the past couple of years and its always the same. You can tell the employees try to be fake nice but its cringy to endure. Im sure theyve been talked to about their customer relations, hence the fake nice attempt. Often when I bring my stuff to sell, the buyers are talking with each other, looking away, while just taking stuff out without even looking at it then shove it all back in a bag. Im pretty savvy on buying and selling second hand and vintage items, but sometimes I have too much and just want to let items go for cheap -- they pass on amazing stuff all the time. Oh well, theres a goodwill down the street. Regarding shopping experience, the employees are not helpful with that either. Try to ask a question and its like youre bothering them. So if you dont mind being treated like trash, great spot.
The place sells the best used cloths. The quality is still good as brand new cloths! nice place
I could not of had a better experience!I brought some stuff in, my first time doing this kind of thing. I thought theyd maybe choose a couple of things. They pretty much took everything I set aside to try and sell. I got a store credit of $160, which I quickly traded for some awesome finds! $300 Vince sweater for $26? Yes please. I also scored some shoes too. Im a very happy camper.
Great costumer service, they were really helpful when finding something to pick and buy. My friends and I actually went there when it was closing time, and they were in no rush to kick us out, they were very kind and sincere. They have very nice and original clothing, very reasonable prices. I would recommend to have a store in LA to save ourselves a 3 hour trip.
Simple solutions like a sign in sheet or even a fitting room number would help keep track of who is waiting in line to sell. Something--really ANY attempt to keep things fair would be appreciated. I had two people jump in front of me with their bags. The employees are friendly at least, and so are fellow customers.
Pays 30% cash or 50% store creditBy appointment only for sellingOpen for in person shopping
Nice clothes its very affordable. Loved the quality.
They have parking lots and spacious inside. Affordable for me but someone doesn’t like this shop cuz clothes aren’t selected, kinda like thrift shop but more pricey than that.
I have been to several BE’s, all over the United States. I love them, but this particular location has ruined it for me. I will NEVER shop here or sell here every again. I will NO longer do business with them. They were extremely rude.
This location is not as bad as described. Compared to the other ones Ive been to in another state, I thought they had a great selection. This store also was not too cluttered. The cash we received for what we sold was fair. The employees were friendly. My one negative would be some of the high prices I saw. I bought a pair of shoes brand new from a different store for cheaper than what it was priced for here used. Other than that, give this store a chance.
Libby and the rest of the staff are by far the friendliest staff Ive ever had the pleasure of encountering. Its always a party when I come by and visit. The prices are always reasonable and I find a great selection of tees every time I go.
People are friendly, great customer service but the prices are not so great. The owner needs to remember that this is a used clothing store not a department store; so they need to keep prices low. I was there yesterday and saw ridiculous prices on not so good items. They need to work on re evaluating their merchandise. 😒
Decided to do a serious clean up of my closet and found several pieces that Id never even worn... impulse buys that got lost in the sea of black clothing in my walk in. A friend recommended I take these lapses in judgment to Buffalo Exchange and sell them. Ive never done anything like that before, but the process was surprisingly easy.Do come early - I arrived on a weekday when they open at 11 am and still had to wait in the sell line.Dont take it personally if they dont purchase your item... it happens. And the LGBT center is just a few blocks away on Highland and they accept donations of clothing... so in two stops - more closet space!!
Theres no restrooms prices are expensive and hard to find parking....
Ive sold and bought from many Buffalo Exchanges before - Houston, New Orleans, Austin, and Portland - and I was shocked at 1) the amount of items I brought in that got a slight glance at before being identified as not worthy of a purchase 2) how cold the staff is 3) the ridiculously low ball of an offer on the clothes they did want to buy. The store manager turned down two nice, fitted blazers I brought in which was fine, but when I searched the rack of clothes in the store, I was effing repulsed by the selection of tattered blazers they had for sale. Im still just dazed and amazed at how shittily of an experience this was. I will likely be back, but dang this Buffalo sucks rotten eggs!
Dig for gems in one of the best recycled clothing stores in LA. Will you find anything? Definitely! Will it be in your size is the question.
Decent selection of men wear. If your looking to sell men wear its best you dont they pay you ridiculously little or not at all. Only complaint.
I wasnt selling anything, but i did buy a few shirts and tees. i was visiting other vintage and second hand shops that day, all had a good collection, but not for such a reasonable price! And it doesnt lack awesome clothes at all. A lot of shirts, sweaters, jackets, shoes, pants etc. I was there on a wednesday noon and had no problem finding a locker (felt like 80% was unused) and hadnt wait long at the cashier. also when you bring your own bag, a tiny (5c i think) amount gets additionally donated to one of three charities of your choice.I certainly will visit it again!
Limited selection, maybe temporary
Ill never come here again. I just wasted an entire hour of my entire life, that I will never get back. Their sense of fashion is only of todays fashion, whatever is original and actually worth the money, they will not buy from you. I tried selling a Balenciaga bag and, in very good condition, very pretty, and you can wear it with anything. Guess what? Its not in style. Ha ha ha. Leather purses, leather pants, will always be in style and will always come back at fall. But then again a bunch of young little girls work there. And I cant imagine that they have a clue about Fashion that always stays. Because theyre born in this era where their fashion is the only fashion. Makes 0 sense to me: anyways, they sell in the store over the top things, that will go out of style sooner than a pair of leather pants genuine leather. $1450 pants. No worries - wasteland took them. If you want to sell anything, go to waste land.
This place is a MUST if you are looking for high quality style(clothes, shoes, accessories) at a great price!!! AWESOME stuff and such nice staff!!!
The cashier were very nice they were moving fast as they can, I guess but its was my first time going there, but I will go back.
Does anyone know the name of the African American looking manager?I tried to ask her few questions but she ignored me completely and walked away. I ask who she was, and she said I am the store manager honey, and kept doing she was doing as if I wasnt even there. shocking...She was busy folding clothes. I literally left the store and went to Melrose.
I find it funny that the only bad reviews are from people who tried to sell their clothes. Its a small, but great store which has a lot of unique items for relatively cheap prices. You should definitely check it out.
They are very rasist in this location. Im in the store selling a few items not once many time the shirt that I was selling had toothpaste on it tiny spot this guy had a black shirt next to me with a white line in the middle of the shirt it was not a design it was a stain they bought that shirt over a designe shirt with a dot toothpaste on it. The manger wanted too talk too me outside and told me I couldnt come back too the store. I sale items too this place brand new over $400.00 labels for little to nothing .theres not type order of instructions when you sale so you cant keep a spot in line . It is a mess not cool she wouldnt even give me her Gm contact not cool
You can find all they have at Goodwill in cheaper price. Over used t-shirts, shoes basically all they have are Goodwill quality. And the store is not even clean. It looks like all clothes are dirty.
Great shopping and u can even exchange your old clothes for cash or store credit. I believe they fo consignment too!!! Super trendy, vintage, unique, oddities, high end items is what you will find here. I bought Louis Vuiton pony hair Damier sling back pumps for less than $50.00!!! And yes they are authentic. Everyone i know adores this place
I had seen the reviews prior to me going here I was a bit hesitant because I didnt know how my experience would be some reviews are okay some are not. The girls who where there were very nice and helpful greeted every customer who came and left. I went to sell my dresses, they only took one item which was a plaid skirt I was a bit dissapointed because the items I saw them take where the plaid flannel look or t shirts that hipsters would wear it looks like thats the style they want. I dont think I will take more clothes to sell which is dissapointing because I would not throw it away I think I will just donate to the good will some one will probably appreciate it there since they are more girly than for the punk rock girl vibe.
This Store Terrible. Always trying to Low Ball People. Bad quality and cheap with there customers.waste of my time here.
Busy place. Service is quick and friendly. Very organized.
Great prices. I found some great items here. Staff was friendly.
First off, the parking is horrible, especially after 6 pm, but you can expect that everywhere in l.a. A couple of the ladies working there seemed very fake and sarcastic. I had brought two pairs of shoes, both not major labels, but had never been worn, they said theyd pass because of the wear on them. When I showed them that they were new, they looked at me like I was stupid. I had also brought in a vintage pin-up style summer dress. One of the girls walked over and exclaimed that it was cute in a sarcastically perky tone and then asked what label it was. When she checked and noticed it was a vintage brand that was not popular she exclaimed the name of the brand with, again, superficial enthusiasm. The customer service sucked. The products are pretty cute. I did notice some pretty worn down items, far more out of date and worn in than my items, but they like name brands. They will take anything as long as its a designer. What did my offerings yield? $4.97, or $7 in store credit. I will go back because I like the merch but the workers there are too rude and egotistical. Yuck.
They have good quality (and unique!) stuff for a buy and sell store. I find the items a bit expensive tho.
So after reading th ereviews here on google i was a bit skeptical of my first visit, yet i like to form my own opinions so i drove an hour out to the LA location. I wanted to experience buying and selling so i took a bag and a few boxes of unused shoes. The staff was very friendly no compaints there. They only took 3 of my items, which didnt bug me because they would be donated anyways. Although in my opinion the clothes i brought were a bit more trendy then what they had to offer. The girl had told me they like band shirts, no crop tops, and the brand new boots i brought were out of season and its fall. But okay no hard feelings i just felt they could use the stuff. Next i went on to my buying experience, I found a few coats that were decent and some cute sweaters, but shoes were too warn for a store like that and so were belts, and half of the things in there arnt selling because no one would even buy them from a thrift store for a buck, I used my store credit to get a coat which the cashier forgot to take the security tag off and im not going to drive an hour back...but i will figure it out. Without being rude my official opinion is the staff are all alike, dress pretty out there, not a bad thing but they need diversity, if you hire people with all the same interest then you will have clothes that lack diversity and style. When she said they tend to buy what they will sell i looked around to notice that the store was overflowing with items that probably will never be purchased because they are too warn and overpriced at the same time and because they regulars are similar to their style and not diverse for the jocks, pretty girls, nerds, vintage, sports, people this is due to lack of diversity so that more walks of life will see the window and be enticed to walk in and buy more then what they are tryouts ng to sell. In my opionon its a great idea but ideas only work when well organized and planned. I give it a 3 for this reason. I wouldnt drive an hour back but I would go again if they had one in the Monrovia or west covina areas closer to home.
If your selling, be sure its something unnecessary because they buy for cheap. Other than that, the place has some decent deals.
It depends on who helps you if they like your style or its something they would wear.
Overly priced for supposed posh and chic clothes, that are actually very used and sometimes dirty. Found a good pair of shoes, though.
Great service. Their parking lot only has about 6 spaces so best to uber or you will be circling around for parking
Usual Buffalo Exchange - used clothing, interesting selection. Great place to grab interesting pieces.
Nice clothing but bad customer service. I waited in line for around 40 mins. And the guy who helped me didnt buy anything from me, nor the previous customer (even though most of my stuff was trendi). He just seemed like he didnt wanted to make an effort to see the clothes we where trying to sell...
Very cool store. Sometimes you just have to look and youll find a diamond in the rough.
Sold to them a lot, they seem to be overcrowded with clothing right now. Love the people that work there, super nice and welcoming.
Great stuff. Fair prices
Everything there is good quality some used some brand new never leave unhappy. ..
Cool store. Had some pretty funky stuff.
Decent selection of used and new clothing in the heart of LA.
Always find great things and always get great buy back deals
Meh. Service was ok. But I have been there a total of five times in the past three months now. And I havent bought one thing. I even have 38 dollars on a gift certificate to this place. They just dont have anything good. Their inventory doesnt live up to buffalo exchange standards in my opinion. I speak for the mens inventory. Obviously I dont know about womens.
Love this place #1 i get all my clothes there
Sell your clothes and make some extra cashflow for that new eyeliner you want to buy but cant justify. Great customer service, lots of opportunities to buy sell and trade.
New location is tough to park in, service is too slow while the meter is running.
Great place for selling and buying second hand clothes!!
Crowded and overpriced. Fun, trendy selection, but not a very pleasant place to shop.
Cool place to find clothing items of different cultures
Terrible customer service. Disrespectful staff. Ill never come back again.
Good place to go for unique clothing.
