This is nothing like the real Farmers Market in L.A.The place is dark and depressing, shouldnt farmers market be bight, cheerful and full of fresh goods? Instead everything is wrapped in plastic and looks old.Set your expectation low and you might be ok with this place. The prices are high here consider the quality.
Half sandwich for ten dollars? This place might have tasty items but people are here trapped at the airport because they need to catch a plane, not to have fine dining. This place is way way too expensive for anything they sell. Its a pity because this section of the airport could definitely use a supermarket with reasonably priced items - I would have shipped here several times. Instead, of the about 25 times I flew out of LAX this year, I always decided it was not worth it, and sometimes I could have really used a snack.
Don’t even try to get a coffee here. The drink is too hotttt and the holder sleeve does not help. On top of it the cup is so cheap it spills everywhere when you try to drink. Oatmeal cookie was trash don’t waste your money..even your dog wouldn’t like.
Highway robbery, or in this case, airport robbery. Food is SO overpriced - a sandwich is at least $13 - and it is extremely salty (Im talking 50% daily value of salt) and not tasty at all. The self checkout kiosks are slow and dont print out receipts. Everything about this place is trash.
The worst, even for an airport restaurant. I can’t believe I stood in line 45 minutes for this.
This place stands out among its peers at LAX. Amid terrible customer service, unconscionably outlandish prices, and nary a vegan or vegetarian-friendly option, an $11 meat-free piroshki that comes with a coffee included is a steal. Whereas everywhere else in these dirty, lousy terminals fails to impress, at least Farmers Market has friendly customer service and you can get a quick meal without spending $15 on a slimy and tasteless sandwich.
Hours of operations says 5 am they did not open until 5:15. I purchased yogurt parfait to eat when I got on the plane the yogurt parfait had expired 2 days ago. I do not recommend this place
Rude staff totally unhelpful and unfriendly. Landed at 6:30pm on a Friday night. Place was dead with 7 employees that I counted behind the various counters doing nothing but talking. I waited about 10 min before someone finally walk over to take my order. Then got sent to pay on the other side of the restaurant. The lady who took my order didnt put my sandwich in the oven despite the fact she clearly saw me go pay for it. When I came back to get the sandwich she insisted I pull the receipt out and then put my sandwich in the oven in a to go paper bag which seemed totally wrong. The bag was extremely hot and full of steam from the food. I almost burned my hand trying to take the sandwich out of the bag. I dont think its food safe either to stick a bag thats glued into a hot confection over and cook the hell out of an egg sandwich. This place needs to get a good manager and work on the staff. Not once did a single staff member ever be friendly in my 25 min stop in this quick stop NOT on a night when they had no customers.
Hours online say open at 5am and they did not open on time. Many people were waiting over 15 mins. Not one crew member came to say why there was a delay. Did not open until 5:15a
Go visit my friend at the bar! He has a great poker face and makes a mean Moscow mule. His name starts with a J. I knew his name but thats how great the mules were! They got fresh made Mexican food and sandwiches. If you purchase drinks and then go ask J to open them for you make sure to tip him, dont be cheap. Yes it pricey. Do you think they will have fresh food where ever you want for cheap. Unless you can find a better option or brought your own buck up. Or starve! ;)
Waited 20 min to order. Terrible system. Employees take one order, then prepare that order instead of having 1 person on the register and others preparing. Would definitely spend up the process.Terrible tasteless coffee and ordered a bacon, egg and cheese English muffin. The bacon looked like play doh. No joke.... I’m not sure if it was vegan but YUCK 🤮
The food was okay, but the sandwich I got was pretty miserly for the price. I realize that its going to be expensive because of being in an airport but, it was pretty bland and there wasnt much in it. Also, they have a self scan station that doesnt work, but doesnt have a sign saying so. This wasted time for quite a few of us, just while I was in there. I will definitely look elsewhere next time.
It’s okay and I understand that is expensive but the point is the bagel breakfast is awful, the flavor and texture, the coffee same, and for the final the service I don’t know why close the kiosk and just one line for make order for the lotería taqueria ???? And paid too bad service
The store manager should be fired. Coffee bar was closed every other market was open. Cany make any espresso drink because they are poorly organizedLine is out the door. Moatmy everyone who works here is motivated super ow not enough helpAvoid at all costs
Coffee was okay. Would probably take over a cup of starbucks, but thats not saying much. Got the breakfast bagel because the poster outside looked natural, fresh, and made with high quality ingredients. Owing to the whole set up (really nice set up), I assumed this would be the case. Nah, its made out of really cheap, processed ingredients. Id personally take a McDonalds breakfast sandwich over their sandwich and Im not the biggest fan of MCDs...
The line was long and they were not well organized. Only one person was working the coffee and breakfast pastry and sandwich line. No prices on a lot of the packaged items. We left without getting anything after waiting 10 minutes
Not only does this place have the most obnoxious ordering system of any food establishment imaginable, I spent 20 dollars on what is possibly the worst burrito that can exist. My experience was so bad I’m going to try to avoid LAX entirely going forward, as such a low quality establishment likely emits a miasma that will affect neighboring restaurants as well.
Waited, standing in line, at least half an hour to get a $9 breakfast sandwich, then tried to get water and some ice. The ice machine was empty and the water was carbonated. Was not happy. They had one girl preparing food and cashing folks out. By the end of my wait another woman came to take orders. Very short staffed.
This place has seriously gone downhill fast. They reuse coffee grounds which is disgusting. Sandwich ingredients changed a few months ago for the worse. Instead of real cheese its processed like nacho cheese. Used to be good.
Food choices were pretty good but there was extremely limited seating. Most people had to eat by the gates. However, there doesnt seem to be any better options in this section of the terminal.
We ordered 3 sandwiches, each one cost $14, they just put cheddar inside one of them and no turkey and they did not even warm it. Once we got to the plane we opened our sandwiches we got so disappointed.
Cute little food court area with a European style sandwich bar as well as Mexican food a coffee shop and a bar. Pro tip they also sell wine after the security checkpoint 😊
Everything here is super expensive. $3.00 for a cup of hot tea..hot water and a small tea bag. $16 for chorizo and eggs!! Far off from the real Farmers market in LA.
Fabiola was so awesome!!! Great professional courteous service!! Highly recommend!!!
Red eye, purchased a berry smoothie then was told after waiting that they had none. Got strawberry instead and it is a cup of ice with ultra-concentrated syrup. Tastes like Im drinking cough syrup
Way too expensive for what it is. $5 for a 25 cent tea bag and a cup of hot water -- just go to the other tea shop 500 ft further down the terminal
If you can accept the fact that airport shops and restaurants are pricey then this place is not bad at all. My husband and I are the types who prefer to show up early for our flights so we end up with lots of time before our flights. We like to spend this time in a cafe or restaurant, reading a book or writing. For me, the highlight of the Farmers Market Cafe in Terminal 5 of LAX was the Kombucha on tap. I love Kombucha! The coffee was so-so; did not bother finishing my cup.The place itself is bright and conducive to writing or reading. They have regular tables deep inside and tall tables at the entrance of the plane. We chose a tall table. I like tall tables, they keep me feeling perky, I dont know why.
A good place to get your fruits and vegetables..only NEGATIVE was they dont accept credit cards
No cashiers, have to order through slow kiosk. Kiosk menu is different then the display. Food is overpriced and bad. All the tables were full so we sat at the bar which was empty. The rude bartender told us to leave because the bar was busy. Worst food in terminal 5 by far. Avoid at all costs.
Dont waste your time or money.
A welcome surprise at LAX. Last time I was through here, the food and beverage options were ... well, pretty pathetic. Terminal 5 has been graced with what they are calling a farmers market with grab and go, panini sandwiches to order, a Mexican grill, coffee shop with pastrie, bottles of local wine and other gifty food items, and full bar with specialty cocktails. Drinks were strong and tasty, panini was so-so (fresh bread was good) and service was fast and friendly (friendly for LA). Airport prices. Still, boarded my flight full and happy.
Cute set up. Didnt have much food stocked for 8am on Friday. Maybe they were surprised a lot of people travel on Friday mornings and like coffee/breakfast. Anyways, $8 for a blueberry muffin and cup of regular coffee, it tasted terrible.
Enjoyed a delicious Chef Salad there. A little pricey @ $12, but its in an airport after all!
Just a bunch of overpriced grab n go items that arent that good. Espresso machine was broken the whole morning. I sort of doubt that it was really broken... But all I wanted was a latte.
My family enjoyed their sandwiches, but I was terribly disappointed that crepes are not served after 11am.
Had breakfast sandwich and black tea for breakfast. Poor quality sandwich for a place called bakery, made of ingredients from dollar store. Even cheese is artificial...Starbucks is much better...
Excellent French cheese board and selection of other cheeses. Huevos a la mexicana were decent. Great selection of snacks and drinks. Full bar and draft beers.
Food from here was garbage, even for being airport food. On top of the ridiculous cost of their food, they charged me 1.09 for 2 water cups. Plan smart and pack a lunch and a water bottle before planning a trip with a layover at LAX.
Its good place to eat, just dont expect anything great.
I was always leery of taking fresh fruit through the security while traveling So being able to buy fruit and even fruit salad right from the terminal is very much a blessing.
This is such a cute food court. Modeled after the L.A. Grove Farmers Market with two of my favorite restaurants represented Loteria! And Monsieur Marcels. If at Loteria! Order the green chili chilaquiles with shredded beef! YUM!
Person at the counter was unhelpful and rude. Coconut agua fresca was pretty good though. So was the kombucha on tap.
Great coffee actually, but save yourself from there really expensive breakfast sandwich. Just awful. Crepes across the way, or burritos look much better.
For $25 I received a hard sandwich, a bag of chips that tasted like an elderly mans dandruff, and a fruit juice. That is all I have to say.
Food was authentic and very good, but a bit over priced. No surprise for airport prices. Specially at LAX!
The fresh fruit was great. Food is a bit expensive
Nice spot to get a bite and drinks before you catch your flight
I first came here in may of 2017. I purchased a fountain drink, a bag of potato chips and a sandwich. It is expensive but a treat for myself after not having been to the farmers market near the grove for a few years since.
Pricey, but great food and drink options.
Best blended caramel coffee Ive had, but the chocolate croissant is dry & bland
I dont eat pork or Ham I asked you guys for pesto ChikenI made it clear with you asking is it chicken only ?They said yes, They gave me porkFor my fu****g 15$I known about it when I boarded the flight
Good sandwiches recorded before you get to your flight
Ok. Not like the real thing. Very expensive.
A flashback to the past. Love the bazaar feel.
Great history great food and atmosphere
Great drinks made by the best bartender in the airport
Bought a carton of milk at the bakery yesterday. It expired in March 20, my son started throwing up on the plane 10 minutes after drinking it and was sick the whole flight. Please check your dates!
Terrible across the board. Go somewhere else.
High priced. Slow service. Dirty tables. Poorly organized to make purchase.
8$ for a breakfast sandwich. Didnt realize it until I paid for it. My fault but this is garbage. Clearly pissed off enough to comment...
Not enough cashiers; out of stock of almost every pastry people ask for.
Very limited food option.Only 1 vegetarian option which had no taste.
Good sized tasty burrito
Sure brought back memories alright - would go back there again..
Rude and also asked why I wanted ice
Expensive buy at least it didnt taste like the worst
Kinda pricey but this is LA. Decent food.
Overpriced trash, I see the owner made two separate listings on here trying to help their absymal ratings.
Expensive,and not clean at all.
Those people are just rude
A person has to eat. You can do that here.
Tacos the worst ever
Its alright.
What else are you gonna do?
Expensive but great food.
Skip breakfast it was awful
Expensive
No organic offerings...
Very expensive
Sucks
Go to the farmers market skewers early in the morning ~ Lao Mei like us, try more than generous ~ many dishes that have not been seen, but the best thing is that cheese can choose various toppings like ice cream, and the flavors adjusted by various cheeses Figs, dried tomatoes and so on ... its too delicious ~~ Todays outdoor Mexican picnic, yummy ~
Help. Come to take a brunch before taking off for SF, we are left with 3 chocolates too sweet, tea and three croissants not thawed. All for 30 dollars. To flee.
Better be hungry than give your money to this place$ 3 a banana ... look further
See and everything !!!
