The area around Rossoblu is awesome, very clean and just reminds me of parts of Spain. The waiters were nice and the area around the restaurant was spaceous. They put a large tent over the front part of the restaurant which greatly boosted the seating capacity. They also offer pizzas that are offered by a pizza joint thats walking distance away. Good food!

Food was just okay, the one I liked the most was the free Gelato with balsamic vinegar. . The surrounding area might not be the best, but the restaurant dining area was nice

Our server (Susannah) was great - very knowledgeable and had great recommendations. She was also great for recommending cocktail and wine pairing for our food.The ambiance was pretty solid. We came for our anniversary dinner, and there were a lot of people still but we felt like the tables outdoors were appropriately distanced. Stylish and modern. Very inviting.The food was delicious. We got the market salad, grilled pork meatballs, oysters, brodo and maltagliati.The salad was crisp and savory dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. The meatballs were flavorful and the oysters were buttery sage goodness. All those served as a great appetizer. The brodo is like a soup with parmigiano reggiano dumplings that was great as a palate cleanser before we ended with the Maltagliati pasta. Overall a great experience and the food was delicious. We would definitely come back.

We all agreed: Rossoblu is truly special! The food was interesting and delicious. Definitely start with the bread basket and end with the rhubarb crostata. The snap peas were also a very surprising favorite. We’ll come back for more!

I came here for Dine LA 2021. The carpaccio is extremely flavorful! The dry aged duck breast was decent. The crostata was excellent with that salty whipped cream. The half order of bread with anchovy butter stole the show, though.

The staff is quite pleasant. We came here for we were longing for meat with level noodles. It very was tasty and fulfilling. The meat and broccoli blend was truly delectable. We had seared rice likewise and it was hot when we got it, and the measure of meat and broccoli was basically served. Well be returning here sometime later. Strongly suggested place for everybody!

Very clean elegant setting. In the heart of downtown LA its hard to find an upscale place like this. Space is well organized. They have outdoor patio furniture and in door but no wall so even when inside the restaurant you feel you are outside.Food wise its really good. Ordered many plates and shared with friends. Wine was great too.Server was on point. Very attentive on the right times. His timing was very good. Water, drink, food, . .Best service in a while.

Ive been super excited to try Rossoblu, so we came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. I wanted to love Rossoblu, but unfortunately, we left disappointed.Upon arriving, I was surprised to see how close to skid row Rossoblu is. We parked just a block away, and the streets were lined with homeless tents. The $12 valet right in front of the restaurant seems more for safety than for lack of parking availability.For starters, we got the grilled pork meatballs and the market salad. The grill marks I saw on other photos were totally absent on our order of meatballs. Nevertheless, they were tasty.The market salad was the biggest disappointment of the night. Listed as having peaches, nectarines, and apricot dressing, we barely saw either of the fruits, and the dressing was undetectable. And for $17?!? What a waste. Id rather get Sweetgreen.After the starters, we waited 15 minutes for our two pastas to arrive. Both were cooked well, good quality pasta and solid sized portions. From a flavor stand point, the maltagliati with mushrooms was good, but nothing special. If I was to return, Id try the ragu instead. The tortelloni with swiss chard, ricotta, tomato and butter sauce was ok, very one-note. Given Rossoblus reputation, and at $25 or $24 for each pasta, I was hoping for great.As we waited to see the dessert menus, a huge rat scurried the length of the outdoor area from end to end, an arms length away from our table. A waiter who couldnt help but notice, apologized and chalked it up to the alley next door to the restaurant.After we received the dessert menus, we noticed a swarm of bugs hovering directly over our heads. It was then that we decided to wrap up the evening. My wife left the restaurant to evade the swarm while I waited for the check. Thankfully I was able to use toast & apple pay to quickly close out the $140 meal before another visit from rodents and/or insects.With all the great italian food in the city, I dont see myself coming back to Rossoblu again.*I recognize that the outdoor issues are not totally in Rossoblus control, but I do have to factor it into this review as it was part of our experience.

Astounding spot to eat a portion of your number one food varieties. I was not expecting this café could serve a few of my top choices. I was stunned when each of my top choices were all on their menu. I was not anticipating this. I got everything and it was endearing eating it undoubtedly by any means. The most elite spot of all time!

I came here just once. It was a late afternoon visit on a weekend. I sat at the bar with a friend. We walked in, no reservation. Originally wed planned to grab just some Superfine Pizza but they hadnt yet re-opened following the COVID-19 closure. Luckily Rossoblu was serving Superfine pizzas though so we went there.The host, the bartenders, and the service throughout was great. The food was good too. It is very much the same cool downtown LA culture and vibe that youd expect. Very compatible to conversation because theres a lot of room around you and theres no loud music being blasted. Id recommend it for a first date or even for a date with a long term partner who you enjoy deep conversations with. I even was able to find an available nearby parking space at a meter. On the other hand, if you wound up having to park far away I think its great to walk with friends down these patina laden streets of old industrial downtown Los Angeles.

Upscale fancy Italian restaurant. I wouldnt plan on coming here if your on a budget, everything on the menu is pretty expensive; although the food here is phenomenal! All the dishes are authentic and the ingredients are all fresh and imported straight from Italy! My favorite entree would have to be the tortellini with ragu sauce, I also enjoy their homemade raviolis as well! There is always a line out there door at this place so if you want to come plan on booking a reservation. Every time I come here I consistently have a great experience, I would definitely come check this place out if you havent already!

The place has a very warm and beautiful ambience. Staff were very nice and helpful. Food was exquisite, definitely one of the best pastas Ive had in Southern California! The risotto is a definite must-try! Cannot wait to come back here with friends and family. An easy place to recommend!

The food was excellent; they served fresh-from-the-oven pizza that was basic but unexpectedly filling. In these types of establishments, I really like eating pizza. The dining area was very large. I cant wait to get back here. They work hard to provide us with excellent support that exceeds our needs. A fantastic music variety and delectable snacks.

This all comes down to preference: the food is delicious, the service amazing, the valet convenient. I dined in for a company dinner and we were able to book many tables so that was amazing. However, personally I just don’t crave or seek out expensive Italian food. If you do, it’s a great spot to check out. Flavor wise I prefer the restaurant next door…

Service was excellent and dishes were interesting. Say whatever they may about their approach to Italian cuisine, the food they serve fails to meet basic Italian criteria. They overcook their pasta, rather than keeping it al dente as it is supposed to be. Rossoblu is yet another Italian restaurant aimed to please your average American customer. Cannot recommend, especially for its VERY high price points. At best a nice place for drinks with friends.

My son benefited much from the bright environment and informative items. For me, everything inside this place was beneficial and faultless. Ill be a devoted client for the rest of my life! We had dinner here last night to commemorate our wedding anniversary. It was a very passionate and rustic environment. It was so romantic to eat dinner under the trees with the lights shining above you! They had delicious menus and reasonable prices. We had a fantastic dinner, and well definitely be back to dine with the kids again. They will undoubtedly enjoy the place.

The 7 course takeout menu is absolutely delicious and very well priced. The takeout cocktails are also great and they will even bring your order out to your car for you. Definitely worth a visit, we will come back when the menu changes.

Food and menu offerings are excellent. Food quantity is large, almost excessive. Service, however, was atrocious at almost every interaction. From an unwelcoming greeting by the host, to the server’s intransigence with the order being taken (unfortunately we cannot accommodate a request to order appetizers and bread with the initial drink order?), to timing of presentation of food (awkwardly missing entree at main course service and not bringing dessert with dessert wines): multiple repeated service lapses. Given the excellent quality of the food, would love to give another chance, but given location — in the midst of skid row — will skip. Stay away. The management tried to accommodate by graciously comping desserts and dessert wines after a stern word, but honestly a simple and authentic apology (we are understaffed and/or don’t have experienced servers) and an attempt at awareness would have been sufficient. Pandering with desserts is not acceptable, and I fear some (much?) of the service behavior is just a sign of restaurants that think they can charge a premium but offer an unsatisfying experience.

We had high hopes after reading and seeing so many positive reviews and remarks about this restaurant. This objectives were achieved. The food is fantastic, maybe the best weve ever had in town. The chef claimed to have a good selection dishes, and we were not disappointed. I will come to this restaurant for future business meetings!

This was the ultimate brunch experience, and my favourite from my latest trip to California. I loved the atmosphere, from the walls to the comfy sofas, and the staff were lovely. It was hard to choose what to have, everything looked amazing. The lemon ricotta pancakes are an absolute must, and their version of eggs Benedict, with prosciutto instead of ham or bacon was on point. I will definitely be back, wouldn’t trying the dinner menu.

Weve been in Italy recently and this is the closest thing weve found to an authentic Italian meal since we got home. The wine list is comprehensive and broad. Any attempt to get here for dinner is well worth it. Home go, go. Go go. Your meal will be enjoyed.

Weve been looking for a good restaurant for a long time. My friends and I have been here since last weekends foodie trip. We tried a few of their recipes and were very happy with the outcome. This is one of the most famous guys in the world! Its highly recommended!!

We had the outdoor dining option they set up in front of the restaurant. Bread basket is a must with their assortment of spreads that come out with it, simply amazing. The service was good and the chef brought over a plate of delicious fluffy bread. The rest of the meal was rather mixed with roasted vegetables over salted to the point of being inedible (no one wanted to take them home so I did, but brushing off excess salt and briefly soaking in water didn’t help). The modern space with its open kitchen was quite beautiful along with the exterior decorated with olive trees.Given that it’s not a year yet, I’d consider going back to Rossoblu after a while in hopes the food has improved. The salumi board served with crescentine frittes were a highlight and I’d definitely go back for that accompanied by wine.

I just travelled to Bologna in Italy few weeeks ago and have been looking for a good pasta place since. The chef is inspired by the bologna cuisine since his grandparents are from there. The pasta are all very very delicious. They are simple and full of flavor. I thought the entree dishes were just okay. We ordered the milk braised pork. It was good but nothing super special or unique. The staff are great and service is good.

One of the best restaurants with a buffet that I have seen! There are so many different foods to choose from, and theyre so delicious. Its a tidy, organized and spacious place. The service is reliable and quick. As it lies in the heart of the city, the location is strategic. We will certainly come back and, next time, bring my family here.

Came around 8pm on a Thursday with a party of 4 for outside dining. Seated right away, nice heated fire lamp to keep us comfortable. Knowledgeable waitress who happily guided us through the menu. We ordered a variety or cocktails and moctails throughout the dinner that were ALL incredible. We shared 5 main dishes, 4 appetizers, and 2 desserts. When I say we had 0 complaints, the food and service was THAT GOOD! The only thing that I could think of I didnt really care for was the eggplant dish served room temp, I didnt like the texture, it was too slimey. Other than that this place is 5 Stars all the way.

Duck paperdelle was excellent. Their pasta sauces are great but the noodles and pasta themselves need to be more Al dente imo.Pork meatballs are a must try. Delicious rich flavor and smell.

The Bolognese and the short ribs were very good. Theyre running an event with Superfine pizza (across the street.) I recommend the honey, sausage, and grana padano pizza too.

One of the best restaurants Ive been to! So many kinds of food to pick from, and theyre so tasty. The room is tidy, ordered and spacious. The service is simple and effective. The position is strategic since it is situated in the center of the city. Were probably going back and taking my family here next time.

It feels like you are entering a hidden gem. The murals are gorgeous and the lighting is a good balance of light/dark (for my taste). Staff is friendly and attentive. But the food is just ok. The veal is served medium rare (more on the rare side). The eggplant appetizer was good but nothing spectacular. The meatballs were delicious but didnt seem like anything special. The fish was bland. The dessert was unmemorable. The only food I loved were the charcoal roasted vegetables and the spinach that came with the veal.But what I found most puzzling was the atrocious plating of the food. Just ugly. And the plates were too big and didnt fit on our tiny table for four. Also, the valet was full at 745pm which seems odd and inappropriate.

Its a great place to hang out with friends. The most prestigious restaurant in my city. It is highly recommended for workshops, as well as for having an outstanding atmosphere. Anything inside this restaurant is remarkable. I genuinely enjoy coming back to this place again and again. Until the next time!!

Wow!!! This place is so on point with the vibe it brings steppes in here for a quick little bit while my car was being serviced on. I always drive by this place and so glad I was able to stop by. Great selection of food to also coffee to pastrys. I got the smoked salmon and a poached egg yummy with avocado along with the chicken salad. They also do have a full on bar perfect for a day drink before heading back to work lol shhhh I didnt suggest that at all. You should stop by it will be a treat!!

So... the diet is fantastic and the workplace is appropriate, but the excellent support is what brings the amazing end. The experience began with the tasty thin pieces of bread and proceeded with tasty fried octopus and homemade black truffle pasta.

The food came with thorough instructions for a careful plating and reheating as necessary to provide the highest quality dinner. I was really excited to finally go here after hearing such great things. Also, pasta is pretty much my favorite food so I was looking forward to seeing if they stack up to the amazing options we have in LA.First, the space is beautiful and the service was really good, so that part was excellent. Overall the food was good, but I was really hoping for great.Our first course was the meatballs, which were some of the best meatballs Ive ever had (including my mom and grandmas, and mine unfortunately). They were reallllly tender and flavorful and the sauce was awesome.Second was tortellini en brodo, which Ive had ever since I was a kid so I was really excited to see it at a nice restaurant. I would say it was good but not great unfortunately. The broth was very flavorful but the tortellini was lacking something - a little too plain with only meat inside.The Maltagliati was next and I was stoked to try this because mushroom pasta is one of my favorite things, but again it fell a little flat. It did have a good mushroom flavor but I felt the sauce was a bit thin and lacked a punch for me. Maybe this was intentional and Ive made similar mushroom sauce at home that tasted similar, but I guess I was hoping it would be thicker and adhere to the pasta a bit more.The pig face was last and that was really good! It just looks awesome and man was it packed with flavor. There isnt a ton of meat on it ultimately, but it was plenty of food for us and I love that they have something really interesting like this on the menu.So overall I thought it was really good but couldve been one of the best in LA if they up their pasta game. The bolognese looked great and I will try that next time, but I try to get more interesting things when Im out compared to what I can make at home. Also the cocktails sounded interesting but ultimately werent anything special. A few more spirit forward drinks wouldve been nice :)One plus was that the pastas were very generous portions compared to other hip Italian places in LA.

For what we had, prices were quite reasonable. Well worth a visit!
