Service department=poor, thieving service, 3 workers sitting around while 5 of us were waiting to be helped. 2 just looking around and 1 actually working, he waited on all 5 of us. But then he quoted me $11,657 for the repairs I needed. I know that several of the jobs suggested were just recently completed at an authorized Subaru dealership. I was able to have my car repaired for the price of a $7.00 can of electrical cleaner plus time and labor somewhere else. Total, I saved about $11,400 going for a second option.
Gavin was very friendly and helpful. Josh was too and my car was looked at in a pretty time efficient manner. However after leaving, I later found a front tire stud and lug nut was put back on too tightly which caused it to be damaged and I had to pay to replace both. Everything else was fine the problem with my car was properly diagnosed so I was satisfied with that.
Always efficient and do a good job. Also &importantly, the service personnel patiently answer my questions and correct any electronic control questions I may have.
Positive experience. No hassle and no pressure. I would definitely buy from them again.

This is concerning the appointment ability and website only. I tried to make appointment online and it stated no longer can make appointments - drop by only. I checked the hours open and the website said they were less busy than normal so I went over to have oil change and tires rotated. They were very backed up and said they encourage appointments. When I told them what website stated- he said you have to call for appointment. Wasted time and frustrating
Had appt at 3:00 pm for oil change did not get out until 445. Did not take car back til 430. Very poor service. I know everybody is short handed but dont overbook. I really dont think they were. Disappointed

Picked up a 2021 Subaru Forester Limited for the wife. Leilani Hart (Sales Associate) and Jay Cross (Sales Manager) were great from start to finish. No rush or pressure to buy anything extra. Completely smooth experience purchasing a 2021 Forester -- couldnt be happier. Chris Kerfoot (sales and leasing) was terrific to work with. No pressure, no fuss, from the first email to working through the options we wanted, to communications about timing and delivery, to pickup. We had zero complaints.
I scheduled an oil change in the morning with their service team and showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment. What should have taken 40 minutes took 2 hours. This was my first and last time ever coming here. The service rep was rude, and didn’t even make any attempt to apologize for my wait time. Not only did they have terrible service, but my check engine light came on the next day. I have absolutely nothing nice to say about this place. I used to go to a Subaru dealership for all my maintenance before I moved to KY and they were incredibly helpful. Definitely not the case here.

I had purchased a used 2019 Subaru, that had a drained battery. When we called AAA to start us, the technician said it was a faulty battery. This all happened on my date of retirement, my last day of work, after 31 years at a non-profit youth agency. The next day, I was to drive to Kansas City by myself, to celebrate with my BFF. The dealership where I purchased the car did not have the right battery in stock so I called Neil Huffman on Dixie Highway. Not only did they have the right battery, but they worked me in @8AM, so I was on the road by 11. They also replaced the fuel pump that was recalled. Turns out the battery was fine--Id left a rear light on that drained it. The technician was Josh and he was wonderful! He was patient with my frequent calls for status, so I could decide whether I could make the 8 hour drive or not. I will definitely make the 20 minute drive from my house again, for service from Neil Huffman. Highly recommend (Thanks also to Joshs supervisor Bryce, and the mechanic who check my tire pressure--all were appreciated.)
My daughter recently purchased a car there, unfortunately I was unable to be there since I live in Georgia. She needed a car for work and was unable to finance it due to her credit. She went to Neil Hoffman and purchased a 2014 Kia Rio. 48 hrs later the check engine light was on. The check engine light may have been on even when she bought it. She really didn’t understand the check engine light icon. Come to find out the catalytic converter code came on, $500,00 just for the part. I told her to call the dealership, I’m sure they will take care of it. She stated that it was stated to be as is. I told her that usually dealerships will still take a look, it had only been 48 hrs. She called and they said they couldn’t do anything that it was as is. I thought surely they would do something, since it had only been 48 hrs and the check engine light could have possibly been on at time of purchase. I decided to call, and spoke to the used car Manager. From the beginning of the conversation, you could hear in his voice that the happy go lucky used car salesman voice was gone. I asked him about the situation, and he promptly said there was nothing he could do. He said it was as is and we tell people buying an as car to get a mechanic to look at it. He also stated that we told her on three pages. Wow! I thought, Neil Huffman got her last $5500.00 and refused to even take a look or even just put it on the scanner. He bluntly stated it’s an auction car we don’t even inspect them. Maybe I’m spoiled, in the state of Georgia you can’t even get vehicle tags if you have a check engine light on. It won’t pass emissions. Therefore auto sales CANNOT sale cars with check engine lights on. My advice to you is to purchase a vehicle with a dealership with more integrity and common courtesy. Even if Neil Hoffman didn’t want to fix it, as a courtesy they could have at least taken a look at the car. They got there money and didn’t care. Unfortunately that’s just how some people do business. I have my own business and would never treat my customers that way. My conscious just wouldn’t allow it.

I had looked at a Forester last year but then everything shut down due to Covid-19 and so it halted my new car search. She was not pushy in her sales, which I also appreciated.
The staff at Neil Huffman have been nothing but kind and supportive. Weve had trouble getting our plates mailed to us (no fault of theirs) but theyve been so helpful and communicative throughout the whole process. We really feel like they care about what we want as a customer. We love our Subaru! I have nothing but good things to say...
Our salesperson was nice, she did what she could to be welcoming especially since we drove 7 hours to buy a vehicle from there. Even though we didn’t finance through them and brought a check for the vehicle it still took 3 hours. The trashy looking finance lady was snobby/rude and treated us very poorly!! Just felt like our business was inconvenient to them!! Definitely lacking in appreciating a customer area!! Nothing there was worth a $700 dealer fee!!!Wanted to update to respond to the comment of the OFAC delays. I find it interesting that we were not asked the OFAC questions until we were getting ready to leave and the finance lady had to stop us after the transaction was already completed. I think the questions took a total of five minutes so I’m not sure what delays you are referring to.

Do not buy from here. I got a Mazda 3 from them with 19000 miles on it. I was very happy with the car at that time. The only problem with the car was the front bumper had a crack and I was ok with that. However, after a year of having the car I decided that I want to fix it. I went to a body shop and come to fine out that the car was hit on the driver side. I had it check out by two body shops not letting either of them know what i was told just getting prices on the bumper and both came back to the driver side. So I was not happy to say the less. I went up to them only to fine out that they dont care about the car at all and told me that they would not fix the problem or even pay me something for the misleading car. They made it like it was my fault for not having 20 years in the car business. I told them that I would have never got that car from them if I known that it was hit and that if they would have put that in that they would not have changed as much for the car. They told me and i quote that most of there used car they have have been hit or have some bodywork on them. Dont waste your money here. And if you do want to make sure you bring a body shop guy with you.

Single worst and most expensive mistake I have ever made was taking my car here for repair. The work they did not only failed but caused further damage. I tried for multiple days to talk to someone about this. For two days I left messages that were never returned. Do not under any circumstances take your car here for repair.

I cant say enough amazing things about our experience buying our Forester from Neil Huffman. DeOntae was phenomenal. He was incredible knowledgable about all of the vehicles. He didnt pressure us, and answered a million of my questions. He went above and beyond to be sure we fully understood how to operate all the features of the car and even assisted in setting up my phone on the car before I left. Dylan, the finance manager was also great. He explained all of the features of packages available. He was able to get a lower finance option for us than we were quoted from our bank. We are stoked about our new car, and we will purchase again from Neil Huffman.

She never pushed her salesperson agenda on us and made us feel 100% valued/respect and never tried to push anything on us that did not fit our budget. My experience at Neil Huffman was amazing! I filled out an inquiry online and within minutes Deontae had contacted me through email. He set up a time for me to come in and have my trade in appraised. They did not have the exact vehicle I wanted, so Terrance worked hard to have the vehicle brought up from Alabama to be here the next day! They were competitive in their pricing, and offered a variety of options to add to the car. Jerry explained all the warranty options thoroughly, and wasn’t pushy at all. Each person I worked with was very kind and motivated to do their job well. I returned the next day to pickup my vehicle, and all of the paperwork was ready to be signed. Deontae walked me through each step of setting up my Subaru Starlink account and how everything worked inside of the vehicle. Overall, I would highly recommend Neil Huffman! They have a great staff who worked very hard to make sure I got the vehicle I wanted with competitive offers and pricing.

We have bought multiple cars from Neil Huffman. Chris Stewart has been our salesman the last 2 times. Just yesterday I went in to buy a new car for myself. I have always bought new cars for my wife and I would take over whichever car she had been driving. This was the first time in my life that I was able to actually shop for what I wanted. Chris was awesome. He was knowledgeable and patient. I ended up having him work up 3 different deals before I finally decided on which car I wanted. I bought my 2009 Subaru Impreza new in August, 2009. I have taken it there for service since I bought it. The customer service had declined in the last several years. I made an appointment to have routine servicing done today at 11a.m. along with a problematic noise that I had heard. I arrived about a half an hour early and went into the service area. A gentleman at the desk said he would be with me in a minute. I stood waiting for 5-8 minutes while he continued typing. He asked me why I was there and I repeated what I said when I made the appointment. Besides the routine maintenance I reported that a high pitched noise started on Sunday and I thought it was possibly a belt. At about noon I was told that the technician had driven my car and heard no noise. I told him that when I was driving it on I64 I could hear it over my radio and didnt drive my car until I brought it in for service today. I was told that I hadnt said I heard on the interstate. They, also, showed me what work needed to be done, including a whole engine seal, that would cost $4,000.00. They said that a tech would test drive it again when they returned from lunch. I contacted another mechanic and paid for the work that had been done and left. Two separate mechanics rode with me and plainly heard the sound I described. I was, also, told that I did have a leaky head gasket, which I knew, but a whole engine seal was not necessary. I am very dissatisfied with the service that I received. Not only did they dismiss the problem that brought me there but I was treated rudely by more than one person. I will not be returning to Neil Huffman.

Waited both outside near the cars and inside near the offices for about 30-40 minutes total. Many of them just kind of looked at me as I waited. I even asked if someone was available to talk to me about two vehicles.They pointed me in the direction of the used vehicles I wanted to see and said someone would be with me shortly. I waited near the vehicles a little while longer before. Maybe they were too busy or something but I just decided to go to anoyher dealership.
WOW!!! This was the best car buying experience I could have imagined. NO pressure, no upsells, no price increases, no BS. I walked in, Leilani Hart greeted me and pulled the car I wanted around. She listened carefully, answered every question I had, and did everything in her power to get me into the car I wanted that same day. Everyone else was extremely friendly as well. I dont usually write reviews, but I need to here. I gave it 2 stars only for the one manager in the service department whos been kind and the sales team was great.I am leasing a crosstrek from neil huffman and the customer service has been terrible. The phone service is terrible, Ive been forwarded to other people while Im in the middle of explaining a problem. And, while I was waiting on my car, I overheard technicians in the service department mocking me about a problem I had with my car 😳Unfortunately, I dont recommend it because of the customer service and the service department. Things seem chaotic and I sometimes feel bad for the service manager there.
Earlier this year I purchased an Outback from Neil Huffman and I had such a great experience I took my mom there today. Chris Kerfoot was our fabulous salesman. Went in to test drive and look at Subaru legacy’s and not only were the staff extremely helpful and in no way pushy about me buying from them, but when I told them I was looking at a used car from another dealer they asked me to bring it in for a used car inspection and they were so helpful and honest and gave me great piece of mind prior to purchasing a Subaru. I will be a loyal costumer to their service department throughout the life of my car!

Found an STI at Neil Huffman that had every add-on I wanted when building one online. I traded in a Nissan 350z and I feel like they gave me a fair price on the trade-in. Everything was super smooth and I drove away with a great interest rate on a 2018 STI and I couldnt be happier! I cant wait to hit the 1,000 mile break-in period. The car is itching to go past 4,000 RPM, or maybe its just me 😁😁Thanks Neil Huffman!Also the VW division has done excellent work on my GTI 337 over the years. Ill continue to visit as needed.
Great service with the dealership-but don’t waste your money on the ECKBOND service they offer. It is difficult to get in contact with that company, and even more difficult to get service on a claim. Huffman will push you to purchase this package and it seems good at the time. It is a separate entity from Subaru and Eckbond is in no hurry to help you get the work done. You have to file a claim for each individual mark. You’d be better off just paying out of pocket to get your car detailed. Learned the hard way!
The Huffman website does a very good job showing/telling you about the cars they have for sale and services. There is all ways a sales person available for questions through the website. Each vehicle I looked at was described very well and each were priced. This website appears to be monitored closely and updated as needed.
Chris Stewart has not only sold my wife a car but he has also sold me a car. He’s honestly the best car salesman that I’ve ever had the opportunity to interact with, which is truly refreshing. He’s ensured that we feel taken care of and I never feel uncomfortable asking questions or looking at a different car if the first one doesn’t feel right. I bought my Subaru Forester at Neil Huffman from Christopher Mordecai Stuart and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! They have great prices and very honest dealings. I highly recommend the sales side!The service side has had some issues with overfilling my oil tank and getting oil all over my engine so I can smell it when I drive. They have a new service manager who seemed to be on her game.
Just bought a 2020 WRX STi from Neil Huffman. I talked with the salesman Chris Kerfoot and put a deposit down on it, as I had to drive in from Nashville to pick it up. Once I arrived I found a small issue with the car, but the dealer went above and beyond to get the issue fixed as best as they could, and to make sure that they gave me a better deal than we had previously negotiated.
Best service experience ever! They were able to squeeze me in at the last minute Saturday morning so I could get both rear wheel bearings replaced and took the time to send me a video of other issues that need to be repaired so I knew exactly what was going on and was able to get it fixed before it became a bigger issue. Very pleased with my experience, highly recommend!

This was my last stop on a very long 3 week buying process. It was easily the best experience I have ever had with a car company. They immediately showed me what I was looking for and allowed me to check it out and ask any questions without being pushy.When I got there no one immediately asked me what my credit was like, what kind of payment I wanted, or anything of the like. They focused on making sure it was the car I wanted and then allowed me to experience it without feeling rushed. I have good credit but the last thing I want to do is remotely talk about finances when I go to just merely browse for a car.Don Pruit was an absolute delight to deal with. He never pushed me into staying, never asked What can I do to make you buy today, just listed to what I wanted and said he would do what he would to make it happen. They allowed me to leave and bring in my significant other before I even remotely started talking about what I wanted to do. The negotiating process was amazing and though I never met him I do want to send a shout to Chuck for giving me exactly what I asked for on my trade in.I cant wait to continue to work with them and buy my next car from them as well. I went all over the city and this is one of the best dealerships out there.While I am sure everyone is awesome there. Ive never had try so hard to buy something. First I was told they would get me a better percentage on my loan and wasnt told otherwise until I was about to sign and asked what the percentage was. When I said I was getting a better rate from my bank Shawn said do you want the car today or not. The next day trying to get ahold of anyone to email info to my loan officer was a nightmare, no one ever was available, and when I did get a call back they said that the email didnt work. I started trying to contact them at 9am by 4:30 pm I was finally able to get the purchase order sent to me to send to the loan officer. In that time I called the office, and cell of the sales rep numerous times. I never got an answer, I tried the sales manager twice with no answer or call back. I received two call backs from the sales rep saying they were working on it and soon, soon means something different here. I feel I was generally treated as an afterthought and that I had to force this sale. Definitely was not a good buying experience. I would never suggest someone buy a car here.
Robin, and Jay were fantastic. They listened to exactly what we were looking for. 100% complete online transaction which included a trade in, and delivery to our home. A few other dealerships I contacted could not or would not and insited we come to their dealership. So 5 stars for not being aggressive, and delivering exceptional service.

I recommended my partner to come to this dealership after I had a previous experience buying a car through Neil Huffman and was actively getting my car serviced through them. They wasted our time on two different occasions, once was when the salesmen pressured us to come in to look at the car, but it wasnt even ready to be test driven and they tried to pressure us into driving a completely different car. The second attempt to buy the car, we left for lunch while the salesmen was supposed to be getting paperwork together, but ended up not doing any of that and drove the car to another lot then sold it to another customer. I guess it worked out for them since they got their sell.With the amount of hoops we had to jump through and the shady salesmen that we worked with, it makes me feel bad for even recommending them in the first place. My partner left a review and Neil Huffman reached out, and we replied, then we never heard from them again.
Where is everyone? Waited 20 min for a rep to acknowledge we were there. Where are the cars? No one here knows. The rep was unable to locate the cars we had come to see. Very gimmicky schpeel. Left with nothing. Probably better that way.
Neil Huffman Subaru is a fantastic car-buying experience. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and professional; theyre a fantastic team to be around. I cant rate our personal salesman, DeOntae Bailey, highly enough. Hes friendly, a great communicator, and he made sure we were satisfied through the entire purchase process. You can tell he really believes in the Subaru brand and enjoys his work. I wont hesitate to return in the future!
I drove 2 hrs to purchase a Forester from Neil Huffman because they offer the best deal and make sure you get what you want. Sales dept was easy to work with and they made sure that I understood all the features on the vehicle before I left. I highly recommend Neil Huffman if youre in the market for a new Subaru.
Just bought my first Subaru from DeOntae. He came recommended from some family friends and didn’t disappoint. Was very professional and thorough and made the process fast and easy, and i never felt pressured. He was always available to take questions and worked around my schedule. Erin and Jay were great to work with as well. Jay even took care of me when he noticed the tire on my old car was low. Great experience and i love my new outback!

Just got my outback serviced here for 30k miles. Attendant was pleasant and everything went fine, however when I got home I decided to check and I found the fluids that were low when I took it in were still low and the oil filter looks like the same one. Because the little things like the washer fluid and coolant weren’t filled up I honestly have no idea what I actually paid 500 dollars to be done. When it comes to higher vehicles maintenance it’s disturbing to not be sure if my vehicle was actually taken care of or if the tech just wanted to save time. After seeing the disregarded fluids I checked the inspection form and besides checks there’s no information on my machine, the entire drive portion of the form I have no idea if it’s yellow or green. Also a mention about the growing rust on the central wheels would be great. Additionally, it seems the tech forgot what they were doing since they checked and rechecked the air filter, so that’s some doubt to add on. Another small note is the brakes apparently need attention in the next 30-90 days but the tech forgot the measurements so I have no clue what’s going on there. Obviously the filter thing is on me for not marking before turning it in to confirm but I feel like with a big name like Subaru this shouldn’t be an issue. This also doesn’t mention the recall I turned it in for so best guess for if the miles to empty got fixed. Overall the form seemed like a paper formality that cost me over 500 dollars, I don’t feel confident in the condition of my vehicle, can’t recommend it.
The next time I want or need a car, I wont hesitate to buy here and Chris Kerfoot will be my go to car guy. No haggling, no pressure and he made a genuinely honest effort to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I am a converted Honda/Toyota buyer. Subaru, along with Chris knowledge, won me over.
I got a great deal purchasing my Subaru here. Also, this is the better dealership in Louisville to have performing service and maintenance. The other Subaru dealership has much better aesthetic, but this dealership is function over form.
