I attended my first Longarm Quilting class with Angela at Quilted Joy and I have to say it was spectacular. Angela is smart, witty and very concerned about her quilters/customers. I left with an armful of goodies an a strong desire to get home and start quilting.

I was lucky enough to attend Angelas(Quilted Joy) online class on Custom Quilting. The class was well-organized and used multiple cameras to ensure you could see as well, or better, than in an in-person class. Angelas teaching style is relaxed and friendly and she uses multiple prompts to enable you to remember which direction the stitch patterns flow. I really enjoyed seeing the quilted samples and the designs used in a quilt. I would not hesitate to take another class with Angela.

Angela is so good at what she does. She truly has a heart for teaching. I have taken her custom quilting zoom class and learned so much. Angelas class is a wonderful introduction to longarm quilting. She uses shapes that most people are familiar with and expands on that. She loves quilting and shares her knowledge in a easily understood way. She and her staff want everyone to be successful in his or her own quilting journey !

Quilted Joy with Angela Huffman is a great place to learn different free motion quilt designs. She steps through the process of each design and I like how she spends several episodes teaching variations of types of designs.

I attended Angelas Beginner Custom Quilting virtual class and it was fantastic! She shared so many quilting ideas, inspiration and more. All questions from students were answered fully. Im hoping there will be an intermediate class in the future?

The Quilted Joy Clubhouse is the very best longarm site on YouTube. Angela not only teaches how to do a motif, but she is the only teacher to walk you through the steps of analyzing a quilt in terms of what motifs to use and then show how to navigate the quilting path so it can be worked in a continuous line. I have not found another instructor that teaches this invaluable skill. Thank you Angela!

Attended the Road Show where each machine was explained and then we were able to explore using the long arm and all its features. Covid-19 precautions were taken, small class with required marks, gloves and sanitizer available throughout the store. Angela answered all our questions, met with us individually and is a pleasant presenter. Thanks Melanie for helping me navigate through the IntelliQuilter. I will definitely be returning after my shop is built because of their product, but mostly because of the positive customer service I received both visits.

Although Im not local to Louisville, I chose to purchase my IntelliQuilter from Angela Huffman of Quilted Joy after LOTS of careful research. I spoke to other long arm quilters whod purchased IQ from Angela as well as reading reviews like this one online. Im so happy with my choice of dealer! IQ is amazing in what it can do, but its not like a new iPhone that you can just take out of the box and start using intuitively. Angelas 6+ hours of video classes, provided at no extra cost when you purchase IQ from her (but available for purchase for those who bought their IQ system from another dealer) were such a huge value-add for me. After going through these video classes while waiting for my IQ to ship, I felt thoroughly comfortable and familiar with the IQ interface, screens, and the most often used functions. Although its unrealistic to think that you can retain 6 hours worth of material, Angela has thoughtfully chunked the information into 10 minute segments that are so well-organized, its easy to go back and find a quick refresher on just that bit youre about to attempt for the first time without having to rewatch an hour-long class. We did a self-install for my IntelliQuilter system, which went very smoothly. Again, this is by design rather than chance. Angela sent emails in the weeks leading up to my IQ delivery with checklists to make sure my machine would be ready for the installation and that I would have all necessary tools on hand. The installation instructions were clear and accurate for my specific APQS machine, with all of the correct parts included. Although we didnt end up needing any emergency assistance, Angela made sure I knew that she was only a phone call away, and she checked in proactively to ensure that all was going well. Then, when she hadnt heard from me in a few weeks (because I was in QUILTING HEAVEN with my new IQ!), she reached out to me again to check in. Bottom line: Not only is Angela Huffman a talented quilter, both free-motion and computerized, but she is also business-savvy enough (and caring enough) to prioritize customer service and ensure a positive buying experience. She was upfront with me about the backorder when I placed my IQ, managing expectations to avoid frustration as the weeks dragged by. She provided fully adequate resources for the IQ installation and absolutely stellar education for learning to use the IQ system once it arrived, and she has gone out of her way to ensure that I know my success using IQ is important to her, and that she will be there for me in the future whether its a small question or a major problem. As for the IntelliQuilter itself? OH MY GOSH; I liked my APQS Millennium before, but now Im in LOVE!! :-)

Hey folks, my wife and I participated in Angelas classroom online. We sat with my laptop next to our brand new, yet-to-be-used APQS Lenni. I usually want to jump right in on something thats new to me, but I (and my wife) felt that I should become familiar with more of the terminologies of the quilting process. I watched and listened to Angela and her staff lovingly and carefully explain how the longarm machines work, along with maintenance instructions and other tips and tricks that came along with Angelas experienced knowledge of the craft. Afterwards, I was anxious to get started using Lenni (my new pal) and stepping with confidence into the friendly quilting world. Two days after the class I did my first practice quilt which I have named GSS (Gotta Start Somewhere). Sure, it has lots of mistakes, but I enjoyed making every one of them! Thanks Angela for helping take the intimidation away from the inevitable first step!

She also offers a quilting service, or you can rent time on one of her machines. This course is very worthwhile. Angela took the time to explain things and answer questions f rom chat line. I would highly recommend signing up if you have a new machine. I learned so much from a learned quilter not only about the machine but thread, tension, needles, batting, etc.

Looking for information on quilting feathers with a longarm and learned so many tips and tricks for machine quilting these designs. They can be difficult on both the longarm and domestic machine quilting but learned some new ways to look at feathers while watching the Quilted Joy Clubhouse on You Tube. The quilting ideas at the end of the segment are awesome.

I have been researching Purchasing a long arm quilting machine for about two years. I had narrowed it down to three machines and knew that I wanted a computer. I fell in love with the APQS Millie machine But I wasn’t wild about the quilt path. When I called the headquarters they gave me Angela Huffman’s business number and her cell phone. I was quite amazed that someone of Angela’s stature in the quilting world would call me five minutes later personally. She graciously answered all of my very many questions and referred me to the Intelliquilter as a computer option for my Millie that would meet all of my needs. My Millie arrived yesterday. Angela has sent me many classes and articles and video tutorials to help prepare me. I find her to be incredibly personable, efficient, professional, and gives the very best of customer service. The Beginners longarm class I attended was great. I was a little worried (terrified) before the class to touch my new machine because I didnt want to break something. This class eased my mind tremendously and Im ready to jump in and get started.Tge class was on zoom because of Covid but I dont feel like I missed out on anything not being in the classroom. I got close up shots of everything. Angela made me feel like we were all right in front of her because she answered questions from the chat and spoke directly to the person asking the question. Not at all like watching a recorded video. However, she did record the class so that we are able to go back and watch it again for a couple of weeks.

It’s always a joy to visit Quilted Joy. They give great advice on how to finish those hard to quilt quilts. Everyone is very knowledgeable on the different types of threads and tools. There is a great variety of long arm specific books. Angela and her quilt fairies are the best!

After purchasing a new quilting machine, I eagerly attended the beginners classes. What an exciting two days! We learned so much and had fun doing so. Angela teaches so well, offering the time for all questions, covering every topic we need as beginners, and does so with a good dose of laughter and fun. It was an enjoyable and educational two days - I am pumped and ready to go! Ill also be back for future classes.

I ordered 2 different types of thread and some bobbins. Shipping was very reasonable and the turn around time was just a few days. Looking forward to placing another order soon.
