I would not recommend this company if you are on a time crunch to get something taken care of. I work for a business nearby and we needed a sliding glass door installed. I contacted them in early March 2021. They came to the business, took measurements & said they would get back to me within a couple of days. NEVER HEARD ANYTHING BACK FROM THEM. Contacted them a week later, then 2 weeks later just for them to keep telling me someone will contact me with information on this door. It is mid-May 2021 & still haven’t heard anything!! PITIFUL! We wanted to support a fellow local company downtown with everything that has been going this past year. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE, EVER.

I have gotten 2 very large custom cut tinted mirrors and 2 custom cut vanity mirrors AND my bathroom shower door all through kentucky mirror and plate glass and I love each and every piece. They do amazing work, you get a quality product at a very fair price, I dont know why you would ever go anywhere else, I know I wont. I will be using them for all my glass needs.

I would have done business with this company, but the lady who answered the phone was quite the opposite of friendly and came off as though I was bothering her.Going to South End Glass.

I showed up to pick up my purchase. I went in and spoke to a lady that was very nice. An older lady sitting there was not very pleasant, it was more the way she acted than what she said. She acted like I was bothering her. The nice lady told me she would get someone from the back to bring out my purchase. That is when the older lady said, it’s going to be a while, they are all in the back loading. Ok, I get it, but it’s the way she said it. Then she said to go out and wait in the car and someone would be out. I waited 45 minutes out front in my car. (Absolutely ridiculous) I then called the office and someone answered the phone, I explained what was going on, she said she was sorry and she would get someone right out. It took about 10 more minutes and a guy brought out my purchase. My experience with customer service is why I gave a one star. I could tell I was not a priority with anyone in that office, maybe it was my $183 purchase that didn’t mean anything to anyone.

I had the best customer experience with Sean and will be recommending KY Mirror and Plate Glass to anyone that needs any work done. I drove from Lexington after discussing what I needed and he made my special order immediately for me and got me back on the road in less than twenty minutes. Absolutely thrilled with his work!

I called 5 glass companies. Two of them gave me pricing over the phone, 1 said they would call me the next day and never did, 1 wanted me to email the dimensions and by the way it would take 10 days to get and the last one did not do the service I needed. Kentucky Mirror gave me the best price, next day service during these crazy times, the most amazing customer service and when my measurements we wrong because of my negligence they allowed me to bring the piece back and cut it to the proper measurements the same day. Iam so pleased with everything about this company they have a customer for life!

I cannot give 5 stars. It took nearly a month to get simple measurements correct. I ordered three pieces of glass for my residential home that’s under contract to sale (already sold) . Those three units came with incorrect measurements. I returned the three units, and ordered eight more units. After waiting three weeks, now all eleven units came in wrong. Me and my wife, at this point became very confused. Why couldn’t this glass place, which has been around for years and years, get our simple measurements right. This isn’t rocket science. I had taken down each individual window the second time around, to insure the measurements would be correct. This was a very frustrating and fearful situation for our family.So after two wrong orders came in, Lisa sent Mr David Goff. Mr Goff is the only reason I’m giving this establishment 4 stars. He came to my home and discovered the measurements were indeed wrong. He insured me the glass would be made overnight and delivered the very next day. He kept his word. The glass was dropped off the very next day. My installer came and installed the windows. There are 2 units that are foggy on the inside. As if they weren’t properly cleaned before they had been sealed. I will pass Kentucky Mirror and Plate Glasses information to the buyer of our home. If they choose to have them remade that will be at their discretion.I feel it’s also important to point out Mr Goff went above and beyond to run back to his shop, to replace a piece of broken glass in our home. Insuring we didn’t have a wide open hole in our residence all night. He brought back a temporary unit.Some of the staff really should be more tolerant and compassionate about their customers. One of the only staff members that I feel truly showed compassion for our situation was indeed Mr Goff.I will return to this business in the future, as well recommend them to people I know. This should be a coachable moment for the owners to use better customer service and to slow down and insure accuracy. I knew nothing about windows.Thank you for reading .

LOVE these guys. They fabricated the doors / walls for our showers and installed them. They fabricated our mirrors to fit the room and the bathroom vanitys and took ceiling height into account. They did a great job and the final product look fantastic and everything functions as it should.Today I brought a door in to get a pane of glass changed out. We called several other places, and Louisville Mirrors and glass got the job done.The door looks better than ever. The got it done the way we wanted, did it fast, and for far less than the other guys. Youre making a mistake if you dont call them for your glass or mirror needs.Parking is easy, right there on Main Street. Everyone we encountered was friendly, pleasant, and helpful.

Weather you are looking for a simple piece of glass, a custom shower door or even a store front. Kentucky Mirror & Plate glass has or can get what you need. This place has been around for a long time and is also with the times. Worth the call or stop in the showroom.

KY Plate Glass does an excellent job. However, Brian is HORRIBLE to work with. If he is your sales person, ask for someone else. Horrible communication and clueless.

By far the best glass company in town I have dealt with. I have purchased a shower door for my home that is beautiful. KY Mirror also fixed my business’s glass door at 3am while no one else in town would answer their phone! A+ company

Quick and affordable!!Talked to 4 different companies in Louisville and Brill had half the turn around time and better pricing! Extremely happy with them. My project was extremely time sensitive and they saved my day. Id give them 6 stars if I could hahaAlso Excellent customer care, they called back multiple times to make sure I got my order on time!

Very poor customer service. I thought they would be the best place to take wood frame windows (since they have been around a while) to have them re-glazed but I was very wrong. They said they would take a few days but took 2 weeks and they never called me, I had to call them. When I took the windows in to the store I was quoted 2-4 hours at 60.00 per hour to glaze. But when I went to pick them up they charged me 8 hours at 60.00 per hour. When I received the windows they looked horrible, the window glazing looked like it had been done by a 10 year old that had no idea what they were doing. I complained to the manager and he agreed they looked bad and had his guys clean them up to make them better. I had to wait over an hour for them to do this. When I finally got the windows they still looked bad, but after waiting a hour I left. I came back today to discuss with the manager but he couldnt have cared less...beware.

Excellent Staff ..I have used Ky mirror For my mirrors and plate and odds and ends for a about 3 years I guess.. Cindy has always been kind, direct, and flat out.. Shes the reason I chose to use them...I would gladly pay retail ..just because its no b.s and every things is always as I would expect it to be ! Thanks for helping me out !

I would give no stars if I could. This company is a nightmare to deal with. We used them for windows and doors in a new construction. They ordered materials wrong and their installation was beyond poor. They delayed our construction 90 days. Their poor installation ruined our subfloors and they made no effort to reimburse us or correct the issues. Please do your due diligence and use another vendor so you do not end up with the issues we did.

Twice had attempted break- ins, at my shop in the Highlands ...Kentucky Mirror & Plate Glass excided my expectations! Fast and I mean FAST, friendly service! They make Jimmy Johns look slow! Highly recommend them, Ill never call anyone else!

This company takes advantage of people in emergency situations. After calling 10 different glass companies after someone broke into my house. They were the only ones who claimed they could get it done by Monday. Since apparently no residential glass repair companies are open on the weekend and I was dropping it off on Friday. I measured the glass for them and a lady on the phone said it would only cost $50 plus tax, no mention of a labor fee or anything, I was quoted $50 plus tax. I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal to get a window replaced so I had a friend drive the glass up there while I sat at the house making sure burglars didnt try to come back in while the window was completely out. Monday rolls around and I call them expecting for my window to be completed, they inform me that it isnt done but I could pick it up tomorrow morning (TUES). I unhappily obliged and went to pick it up on Tuesday afternoon, after having to sit at my house making sure nobody walked through the gaping hole in the wall for 5 days. As I arrive to pick it up, I walk into their office and nobody greets me with any sense of urgency, the lady brings out the window and tells me its going to be $91 plus some change. I inform her that I was quoted $50 plus tax on the phone before I had the glass brought in and was told it would be done the day before, and she rudely responds with, well that was on the phone, there was a $20 labor fee also. Disgusted with her attitude I paid the $91 and left whilst still complaining and her not responding at all. As I arrived home I called back up there and asked to speak to a manager. I explained that i felt that i was being taken advantage of and they didnt really care. I was given the run around and then basically told that I measured the window wrong and the glass wasnt clear pane and all of this. Bottom line you should have transparency with your customers. If you quote someone a price on the phone that price needs to be honored and if someones measurements are off by an inch you should call them and address the price increase before doing the labor and then surprising them with a higher bill to pay once they arrive to pick up their glass. All and all pretty disappointed with this company. If I could rate them zero stars I would.
