Tim did a great job in resetting my 12 string Takamine jumbo acoustic. He adjusted the fret heights, the neck and the string height in the nut and it plays so much better now. Great job, Tim!

Front Porch Lutherie is the place to take your stringed musical instrument if you need repairs or improvements. Tim Tucker is a friendly, professional luthier who does repairs quickly at reasonable prices. I dont know how he gets it all done so fast. Guitar elves in the middle of the night? I have taken him electric and acoustic guitars, banjos and mandolins for years. Hes fixed a broken neck, installed pickups on acoustic instruments, done nuts and bridges, set-ups, truss rods, installed fifth string capo and D-tuners on banjos, etc...If you are in the Northern Colorado Front Range area and need some work done it would be hard to find better than Tim!!!! Good luck and happy picking.

Tim did a great job putting in a Free-Way Ultra Switch in a custom guitar for me this week. I wanted to rock and roll with out of phase pickups and Tim made that happen. The process was easy and the results were great.

The bridge separated from my breedlove guitar and Tim had it fixed in just a few days. The guitar sounds better than ever and it was all for a very reasonable price. If you are looking for good and honest work i can’t recommend any other lutherie.

Tim is very professional and fast. Instruments have to be quarantined for a couple days right now (7/2020), but after that it was about a day to do a setup, new strings and pick-guard change. Overall a really great experience!

Highly recommend Front Porch Lutherie. Not only did Tim do an amazing job on my husbands bass guitar, he finished it in blazing speed. He let me know each detail he was doing and contacted me. Such a pleasure to do business with and he was super nice to my kiddos when we dropped off/picked up. Very refreshing to have quality work as well as a great attitude.

Tim is great and I love Front Porch. He put a contact pickup into my 1969 Gibson Hummingbird and it sounds great. He also services my old Fender electric and it also sounds great.

Tim has been working on my guitar for years. Every guitar I take to him comes back a joy to play, anything from a Squire to a Taylor. Hes done everything from a simple setup or not replacement to resting a neck and drilling out holes for new tuners. Always great work.

Revamping Fender guitars products and calling it your own custom work ... is not a custom guitar. Sounds more like plagiarism or copyright infringement. When youre actually customizing someone elses work.

I have been going to Tim at Front Porch for 6 years now, so far I have only had an amp repaired which was A+. I just got my first guitar back from service and it is spot on. I couldnt be happier, awesome guy and superb workmanship. I will be bringing him the rest of my vintage collection for future repairs!

Tim Tucker and Front Porch Lutherie has serviced my electric and acoustic guitars for years. After several failed attempts with other shops I found Tim to be responsive to the adjustments and refinements that each guitar needed. I even had him build a custom guitar for me as well!

My only two experiences with him were both pretty rough.FPL is a certified All-Parts dealer. Last year, I emailed to ask if he could sell me some 1.5 #4 pick-up wood screws. He replied saying, I should have something that will work. So I drove to his shop in Louisville, he immediately said he didnt have screws of that size. I suppose he could have checked before I drove there. An honest mistake, but there was nothing resembling an apology for my wasted trip.Recently, one of my acoustic guitars had a bit of a rattle, which I described in an email. When I visited the shop, he said he had read my email, (though he never replied). As he looked at my guitar and I tried to tell him there is an unusual custom pick-up installed and wanted him to be a little careful around it. He cut me off before I could get a single sentence out, like he wanted me to get to the point. I dont know what I said or did that rubbed him the wrong way, but he got really impatient with me.I appreciated his expertise and would have been more than happy to pay him for his time, but he was acting like I was a huge waste of his time. I had taken the strings off my guitar before I arrived, and he said he couldnt tell much about the guitar with the strings off. I offered to put them back on, and he said, I cant just wait around and answer all your little questions. I couldnt get out of there fast enough for him.I strive to treat people with kindness and respect, so it caught me off guard to be treated so rudely. So for a second time, I walked out of his shop feeling frustrated and a little humiliated. I wont be going back.
