Had to order a spare key. I was told it was $30. Had to make an appointment for it to be programmed. Ended up with a $200 bill. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that there was $170 charge for programming and that I should have asked the service department about the cost, not parts department How was I supposed to know? Please be more transparent with your customers. If that means training your pats people, please do so.

Have had a great experience with the service dept. that part has been awesome. But my car 2015 Highlander needs a new engine. Service suggested I get a quote for them to buy it from me. They quoted me 8000.00 for it they stand to make around10,000.00 off my unfortunate situation. This makes my decision really easy as to where I will buy my next vehicle.

At Anderson Toyota dealership I have just purchased a brand new Toyota sienna xse 2021 the service was outstanding and staff here was extremelyknowledgeable and professional as soon as we arrived Don Smith a sale consultant was warm and friendly. He took his time explaining everything was very professional We felt comfortable talking with him and he answered all ourquestions.Anderson Toyota keptupdating us on where the process was and they were as efficient as possible so we didnt feel like they were wasting our time me and my wife spend there total 45 minutes in and out plus I did a lot of research when I was purchasing this vehicle and they gave us best deal possible and thats what we feel what we were getting This was a stark contrast between other dealerships I had been to past 2 weeks where peopleavoided questions and actually didnt want to negotiate the price Plus the best part is We love our new car which they took great care of! I am very happy with the service department of Anderson Toyota Dealership, for now. After having suffered a lot with 4 other Toyota dealerships service departments, Anderson Toyota one is like a breath of fresh air after being stuck, let say, undergound for months - courtious, very helpful and uderstanding, the work was completed in a timely manner and they do not try to rip your heart out with their prices - I can attest only for the service which my car underwent, of course. Let me be clear, the salesman i spoke with in person here was a real gem. Answered all my questions and put up with my specific demands for what I wanted with a smile. He was 10/10!However, I tried to look online for an suv because what I wanted wasnt on the lot at the time, I got multiple emails and phone calls, all from different salespersons. They were very intrusive, pushy, and kept trying to convince me to buy a car or van, when I was very clear about what I wanted. When I told them no my wife wants XYZ, one had the gall to tell me my wife doesnt know what she wants and to convince her to change her mind! I immediately told them to never contact me again.

I was really having high expectations since most of their ratings are above a 4. I initially went for an oil change but when I was there I realized my air pressure light was on and asked if they could help, they said they would. After I got my car back the guy who initially greeted me (Gregory) explained I needed new windshield wipers and didnt bother reviewing there prices. Then proceeded to tell me I need a list of things checked and done for my car that cost 500 but also didnt go in depth to explaining what those things were. I almost felt as if he wasnt trying to explain thoroughly because he mightve seen me as just a teen. Once I got into my car and realized the tire pressure light was still on, I was very upset.

I bought my FIRST Toyota this past weekend, and my FIRST (of many) Hybrids at that! I had an awesome experience with Kim Rizvi as my Sales Consultant and Ben Bleed as my Financial Consultant! Kim really went out of his way to help me locate the exact car that I built online and to understand all of the features inside and out of my Prius Four once it had arrived! He was able to answer all of my questions, and help me navigate my options. Similarly, Ben was fantastic to work with, and was able to walk me through options on financing, warranties, and made the transition from my old VW Jetta to my new Prius Four seamless! Do not get maintenance done here. They charged my grandmother over $700 for checking her car and adding freeon to her ac. The labor costs for adding freeon was $150, this could not have been more than 10 minutes of work. They take advantage of their clients who dont know enough to call them out. Steer clear.

I just bought a vehicle from Anderson Toyota today and I worked with Eloy Sosa. I was a little nervous going in because my experience with another dealer there 6 years ago was not great. Eloy was very helpful, kind, and didnt act arrogant like the salesman I had my first time that couldnt seem to follow through on a promise he made during the deal. Eloy followed through, and never made me feel uncomfortable, and didnt talk down to me. I highly recommend him. The man I worked with for financing was also helpful and easy to work with.

Sadly, our experience with Toyota hasn’t been too good. We bought a 2020 RAV4 out of word of mouth about Toyota’s reliability. In the 7 months we’ve owned it it’s refused to start 3 times now. Thankfully roadside assistance has come every time to jump it. We have taken it to Toyota for servicing and we’ve been trying to find the problem, and every time we have been told nothings wrong with it. Thankfully all 3 times the car has refused to start, it was at home. Future problems are a worry if we’re not at home or in a place that roadside assistance can’t reach. It’s a shame we’ve had this experience, but the reliability of a brand new Toyota SUV has been frustrating to say the least.

I purchased my vehicle from Anderson Toyota 9 weeks ago and have still not received my new plates I paid for which they ordered. I’ve called them about a dozen times since and they have not been helpful in resolving this issue nor they will not reissue a temporary license plate for me which expired 5 weeks ago. Every time I call they tell me the plates are going to be sent out to me but still no plates!

We purchased our 2014 Toyota Prius C from Chris (a low pressure, no pun intended, dealer) here in March and have used their service station for tires, and oil changes and some light bulb installations. Most recently we brought the car in because a sensor light was indicating an issue with tire pressure. They checked the sensors and filled the tires to the correct pressures. Instead of charging us for their specialty tool use they charged me nothing, and didnt chide me for naivete. Thanks Anderson.

One of the best new car buying experiences from any dealership in the past 30+ years sourcing vehicles, both for personal and business use. The entire team was excellent starting with Erin, the internet sales first connection, to sales associate, Brandon Campbell, Sales Manager, Joe Ristow, Finance Manager, Tony and last but not least Devin Bloomingdale, general sales manager. They all worked to make this a great car buying experience without all the high pressure antics that other dealerships utilize.My wife HATES car shopping/buying and she was impressed with the relaxed process to purchase a new 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum. We visited another dealership, not too far away, where we spent three hours being lied to, pressured, and conned, only to leave without purchasing a car. Thanks to the Anderson Toyota team for making this an enjoyable process and working through the few minor bumps that occurred. I have to give 3 stars based on the vehicles and that they ran a hard credit inquiry without my permission. Two out of two we drove were owned by smokers. As a former smoker, I cant handle that. Prices were decent, people were friendly, but as a tip Anderson Toyota, dont be running peoples credit without permission!

Bought a used vehicle with Don Smith. He drove it to my location without extra charge and all the paperwork with the DMV was taken care of and brought to me with the vehicle when delivered. Although the vehicle ended up needing repairs the dealership has been honest & caring and has taken care of the issues. Very professional dealership. Very happy with their service. I stopped to see the General Sales manger per the owners request. He was able to show me a way to get the wiper to a standing position without having to open the hood first. I now know how to do it but will have a devil of a time teaching the car wash peeps how to do it without breaking it. Oh well, it is what it is.

Eric is an enthusiastic car salesperson. He is very energetic and eager to show you all the details of the car you want to look and test drive. The test drive was very informative because Eric went over the features of the car as were on the test drive. It was a lot of fun. If he didnt know the answer to a question he never hesitated to ask someone else to get the information we wanted. He was always looking out for us to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed thru the whole process. The dealership did everything they could to get the car we wanted. Once it arrived it was everything we expected. Eric made sure that the final step, the payment process went smoothly. Ben was very knowledgeable and made sure the ownership of the car went as planned. Overall a well run business that cares about the customer. I recommend them highly.

Buyer beware! Very disappointing experience. I bought our first Toyota at Anderson back in 2006 and still drive it and service it there today. I have also bought our last three vehicles at Anderson NIssan. Never had a bad experience until now.I test drove a new vehicle with interest in trading another vehicle. I already did my homework to get the trade value, but the salesman stated their value was almost $2000 less. When I inquired why, he stated it was good condition due to mileage and the year. I informed him that is not what constitutes the condition of the car and it should be very good. I looked at the sheet that valued my car for trade and they did not include some key options my car had like moon roof, leather seats, and navigation system. When I told him that he did not give me an accurate trade value due to missing these key items, he stated he could talk to his manager, but it wouldnt be worth much more or apologize for not properly quoting me.As he was talking to his manager, I started to hear the manager get a bit loud. I heard him say He doesnt really want to buy a car if I would not accept the trade value. I stood up as the salesman came over to me, I thanked him for making my decision easier to not proceed any further. In my lifetime (and a repeat customer at the other Anderson Nissan dealership), I never have experienced such unprofessional conduct from trying to pull a fast one with the trade value not being correct and a Manager talking in the manner that I could hear him from across the sales floor. Within about 5 minutes of my departure I received a phone call from the General Manager. In his voicemail, he apologized for this misunderstanding--basically backtracked the words that he said and that he was training the salesman. Strange to make this statement since the salesman informed me in our introduction he has been there for 4 years!To summarize my experience: I have always been a supporter of our local businesses, but I will no longer support this one. It is people like this that give the car salesman a bad stereotype. I would also think that during this unprecedented time with the Covid-19 and Toyota sales for new cars being down based on the first quarter 2020 financial report you would receive top treatment. I will however continue to support the Anderson Nissan dealership since they know how to treat customers in a professional and ethical manner.

I went to Anderson Toyota to get Service on my 2007 Prius. A basic Oil change. While waiting I was drinking a cup of coffee and walking around the showroom when Eloy came up and asked if I was looking for a car. I told him that I was having my Prius serviced and might be interested in purchasing something and trading in my 2011 Prius as the Mileage was at 229,000 and needed to get something with much less. We started talking about Prius... he owned one himself and we both agreed ... once a Prius Owner... well you know... Always a Prius Owner; He mentioned a Prius he had sitting on another lot just down the street, he drove me over, I took it out for a ride and then home to show the wife... She loved it and next thing you know its in our garage... Everyone involved, from Eloy to the Financial Manager made it so easy. Eloy made a couple of promises, which went beyond his role as a salesman. He followed through and delivered.. When I bought the car it only came with one key which I didnt like however, 3 weeks after I purchased it, Eloy called me and said, Guess What? The person that traded the car in just came in and dropped off the second key for your car.. I went and picked it up... THANK YOU!... Besides my very first car when I was 17, every vehicle I’ve bought has come from Lexus of Rockford/Anderson Toyota. My most recent vehicle is a leased 2018 Toyota Camry and this was the first time I’ve dealt with the Toyota side... Andy, one of the managers, is one of my absolute favorite people I’ve worked with there. He truly has your best interest at heart and makes you feel like he doesn’t just care about getting your sale. He is honest and I value that when making a large, life-changing purchase. Andrej was also great to work with. Very relaxed and easy going, but also friendly and easy to talk to. And Eloy... he’s hysterical and has such great energy. He makes you feel like you’re being helped by an old friend... I came into Anderson Toyota looking to just test drive a few cars and was helped by Luke Nelson. He let me drive anything that I was interested in and even suggested a few more. He asked me questions to get more of an idea of what I was looking for. We ended up having great conversation and he even became more of a friend than just a salesman. He did a great job helping with anything he could and no one was pushy. It was a very comfortable buying experience and I am more than thrilled with my 2013 Hyundai Tuscan! Took my 86 into to get serviced a few months ago as I was experiencing a grind when shifting into 4th gear, usually at higher RPMs. The service representative, Greg Langley, told me I should not be flooring/redlining the car. He told me to stop racing the car and get a racing clutch?? Then he told me I am not shifting right. I have to slow down and wait before I shift. I think I was shifting right and you dont have to wait to shift in synchrod manuals. He was basically treating me as a joke. He said the service tech said it was fine, and he could not help me any further. He was an older gentleman, who was assuming that I was trashing around the car. The point is, if I want to be able to shift quickly, I should be able to without experiencing a crunching noise or hesitation, especially on a nearly brand new car. He didnt even offer for me to drive with the technician.I am doing all my service at another dealer from now on, who would actually offer to help me much more than Anderson Toyota.

I went to multiple places a few days ago and out of all the places Don was the only one that came out to talk to me even in cold and windy weather. I then went back to him today to get a car. We normally purchase newer used cars and had never had a Lexus. Keith was wonderful in considering our needs and desires while making recommendations. He was not pushy and was patient with us as we thought we might want to wait for another color RX350 to come available. It was the Rockford Lexus dealership experience along with Keith and Matts professionalism that made us decide in the end not to purchase a different used Lexus at another dealership that was the color we had hoped to find. I went in for an oil change on my 07 Tundraand was told I need a new oil pan because the they could not get the drain plug out on a vehicle that they had done all the oil changes since 2013. I took the truck to Jacks Tire in South Beloit they were able to change the oil with no problem. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO ANDERSON TOYOTA

My fiance and I bought a car on Saturday. We were really just looking to see what was available and shop around at multiple dealers. We walked up and met Al Smith. He was so comfortable and easy to talk to. He asked me exactly what my perimeters were and walked straight out to a car that had been one of my top picks. I drove it and loved it! We went inside and started some of the preliminary stuff and before we knew it we were buying the car. My fiance normally has to sit on something for months before he makes any decisions! Brad was awesome! He reviewed the paperwork, did the necessary legwork to get the recall work authorized, set my expectations regarding time and cost, scheduled the work and replacement parts. When they checked the new dash it had a crack so he rescheduled the work to accommodate getting the new dash. Personally, I hate car shopping and the paperwork and financial parts are always long and even stressful. BUT this was by far one of the smoothest and [genuinely] friendliest experiences my family and I have had to date. A new auto repair place opened in my neighborhood and I thought I should give them a try with my business. Big mistake. They left my vehicle worse than when I brought it there.So I did what I should have done in the first place. I took it to ANDERSON TOYOTA. They were extremely professional and friendly. And they repaired my vehicle quickly and perfectly. They reversed the damage that the other place had done. They recommended some other maintenance work appropriate to the mileage on the vehicle and I gladly agreed. It drives better now than when I first bought it four years ago.Im very pleased with Anderson Toyota, and I will continue to bring them my business.
