I used to love shopping here because they had good deals and coupons which made it worth shopping here. Now they have mostly eliminated the coupons, prices have increased, they push hard to get you on an ITC membership, and their few coupons are misleading simply to get you in the store. I went from shopping in the store every other day to almost never at this point. I couldnt possibly be more disappointed. Lost a loyal customer

I called the store (LOVES PARK, ILLINOIS LOCATION) to check the price of the central machinery belt sander 4×36in with the 6in disc sander on the side....SUMMER the girl on the phone gave me an attitude because I wanted to know why online says it is in stock in the store....so i speak to the manager....MIKE/MARK....something to that sort....he told me the online and in store are not connected and that the only location that has in store stock is janesville....told me about another product thats similar....I asked if they price match seems how the one i want isnt in stock like it says on THEIR WEBSITE.....told me no....NEVER WILL I SPEND MONEY AT HARBOR FREIGHT....SAD THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DEALING WITH THEM AND AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE....ILL GO TO MENARDS OR HOME DEPOT FROM NOW ON AND SPEND.

Toy store for men. Tools for little or big jobs.

Great place to pick up drill bits, saw blades, and miscellaneous cleaning tools at a fair price. This is the original Harbor Freight store in our area. And I couldnt help myself from popping in while I was driving in the vicinity.

Most people know the stigma Harbor freight has - the hardware store with sub par tools and equipment. But theyre seemingly working on changing that. A couple new brands of tools are carried that seem promising. Besides that, tools like screwdrivers, vice grios, monkey wrenches - theyre excellent here. They have a huge variety of tools, and so long as you take care of them, and dont beat them up too hard, theyll last. Theyve got some hobby equipment as well, metal lathes, rock tumblers, mini table saws, etc. Its a rather fun place to shop around. They do NOT have screws, picture frame hangers, bolts, etc. This really is just a place for tools.

It was ok but there was a garbage can at the door overly full and trash all on the grown and the store was empty but 8 or 7 employees standing around talking doing absolutely nothing at the front cash registers

This is a great store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Tools keep getting better quality. I got the Vulcan Tig welder and I use it for AC and DC works great, Ive spent hours welding in a day with no problems. As well as their Vulcan hood, its the EXACT same as the Lincoln Viking, why pay more for the same thing.

Always good information and sales staff if you have a problem with a product you can return or replace it with a new one, really havent had to bring anything back. Great prices good products. Like there predator motors great running easy starting motors.

Harbor is nice because they have tools that are not as expensive. They have been improving the quality of their tools but I havent teally had to much issue with their tools. Besides most of them have a lifetime guarantee anyway so even if you break them you get the tool back.

Good deals and decent tools! Yes, some tools might be junk but as far as hand tools and mechanics tools they are pretty good. The Predator inverter generators have gotten great reviews in the RV/ camping groups.

Cheap tools and great people who provide great service. Almost everything comes with an unconditional 90 day return or exchange policy. Youre not going to get DeWalt or Milwaukee quality, but for a weekend warrior tackling around the house projects, you wont notice the difference. If you do heavily use a tool for a big, one-off project, the 90 day exchange policy has you covered no matter what you do.

Good place for inexpensive tools. I bought a small 2 craft chop saw. They said they had 4 but they only had 2.
