I found myself in the unfortunate position of having to pick up an old masterpiece Bouzouki off the floor - cracks in sound board, bent tailpiece. It also had a layer, or layers of some orange lacquer that Chris felt had distorted the instrument from its original look. Chris’s restoration is nothing short of miraculous - a meticulous craftsmen, trust him to handle your stringed instruments with expert care and true love of his craft. Before and after pics below

Chris worked on two of my instruments, a lute and a classical guitar. He always inspects instruments carefully and has done awesome restoration/repair. He understands how an instrument should sound and how to make it easier to play.Also, he is very reasonable with the cost as well.

I brought Chris my Turkish Oud and Kanun. Both vintage and in need of delicate repairs. They belonged to my Uncle Roger so I was very careful in choosing the right hands to work on them. I spent many days going to music shops, talking to different musicians, meeting different luthiers all over New England and my journey led me to Chris through references from other craftsmen. I love learning music on these instruments, they mean the world to me. Chriss work has made these instruments tunable, playable and recordable once again. Ive visited Chris many times having had the opportunity to watch him work. He has repaired 3 ouds for me. Now waiting for my 4th to be finished. The second one was in very bad condition, multi cracked sound board and broken ribs. Chris did his work repairing and replacing. I was very happy with the outcome. Right now Chris has 2 more my old ouds made by well known makers, one in very bad condition. I wouldnt trust anyone else but Chris to repair these, to bring them back to life. THANK YOU CHRIS
