Im a new customer who moved to Lubbock fairly recently. A friend wholeheartedly recommended Christian Brothers. I bought a used car and wanted it checked out by non-dealer mechanics. I waited around for two hours while they ran some diagnostics and other procedures. I listened to countless customer interactions and they were all the time as the one that I experienced: polite, friendly, patient, and thorough. A lot of auto places treat my wife like a toddler who knows nothing. I was especially impressed with how much respect they treated customers of all genders and the elderly. I also appreciated how they never rushed customers even though they were super busy or the client wasnt quite sure how to describe the problem. For my repair work, they found two problems easily and quoted me fair prices. Since my car was still within a 30 day return window, they contacted my dealer on the spot and facilitated the dealer covering the repair. They gave me a free ride to and from the garage and finished the repair in the same day to boot. A lot of places have good customer service around Lubbock, but I havent seen truly excellent customer service like this in a while. Theyve earned my business moving forward.

I had Christian Brothers do work on my car and they broke off the handle of my dipstick. I didn’t realize until I checked the oil a couple weeks after the service. Will never go back. They put something on the broken part to keep it from falling out (pics). Name (Christian Brothers) is very misleading.

My wife and I drove a car in from California to give to my daughter and her husband. AC had been cutting out anytime the outside air temp would climb above 90 degrees. Had tried to make appointments with other shops in the area, but other shops were either days out or refused to help, since it was a Volvo. After just driving by Christian Brothers, we could tell this place seemed more professional from the outside so we pulled in and told them our story. Their response to my Volvo question was simple - We work on all cars. We left the car with them. They used their courtesy shuttle to take us home and repaired the AC within their quoted time at a fair and quoted price. I feel very confident leaving my daughter in the hands of very qualified, caring people. Christian Brothers cares about their customers first - and they know a thing or two about fixing cars, also. Highly recommend!

I have always had a great experience at Christian Brothers Automotive. They are consistent and clear with their communication as well as kind. Me being younger as well as female, it is hard to find a place that I feel comfortable enough to take my car and be respected. Christian Brothers has always done a great job of being kind to me as well as speaking in leymen terms so that I have a full understanding of what is going on.

I am so happy. They got my A/C working. I had been struggling with it for so long and they got it fixed for me. I will definitely be back for other services. Great people.

I went to get my brakes fixed and Christian Brothers took such great care of me again. Talk about Great Customer Service, I was waiting while they were fixing my truck and I got called into work early and they gave me a ride. Then not only that I was still at work and not able to get away and when my truck was finished being serviced they brought it to me! Sammy is the service manager and he ALWAYS makes sure to take such good care of me. He goes above and beyond and I just can’t thank him and his staff enough! They also took care of me a few months ago and it was the same great amazing service. It shouldn’t be a question of where to go to get your vehicle fixed Christian Brothers Automotive does it all! They have such good prices too and are professional and just very courteous. They treat you like family and that’s what I Love the most about them! These guys were great. Had to have a vehicle towed in for some repairs. I was very nervous about what the cost to repair would be. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and understanding. They were able to give me a repair estimate in less than two days. The pricing was very fair, they distinguished between what was needed to get the vehicle back on the road and what was more preventative. I felt they were very honest and trustworthy. I will definitely use them again.

In the last 8 months I’ve taken my vehicle in twice because of intermittent start issues. Both times diagnostics were ran and I was told the starter needed to be replaced. Yet I’m still having the same starter issues. I get that there are bad parts and they have no control over that. But I should not be having the same issues I was told were fixed. Now I have to take my vehicle in a third time to fix a problem I was told was fixed twice already. Three times in one year is absolutely ridiculous! Save your time and money and find somewhere else to take your vehicle.

The courtesy inspection they do is quite meticulous. They find all the problems. The the price they charge for solving the issues is beyond my affordability. Will recommend the free inspection.

I was greeted right from the start and that one simply gesture makes the customer at ease and welcomed to the business. Im new to the Lubbock area and was referred . Told the service advisor what the vehicle needed. It was a simply fix and it was done as promised. These guys commicated with me by text and voice to let me know the situation. The services were done in a properly time frame and promised as is. I have found a place to keep my vehicle maintained. Thank you Christian Brothers! You guys are awesome.

A bit pricey...But got the job done quickly ..Appreciated the ride pickup...Didnt like they added 40$+ in miscellaneous shop fees(repair setup n cleaning supplies?) But a good company...Will use again..

Pricey but quality work

My daughter was driving across the country from Vermont, when she had some car issues, finding herself in Lubbock Texas. I was worried about finding an honest auto care establishment so far from home. CB was so nice and professional and took care of my daughter’s vehicle as it was their own. No bull and fair pricing. Only did what needed to be done to get her back on the road. This company is a class act! Oh and they even shuttled my daughter back and forth from where she was staying. A+ rating!

Spoke to them to get quoted for a starter repair, dropped it off next day. They stick by their quotes which I appreciated.

Id like thank C.Bs again for a prompt, courteous, friendly welcoming visit. We had to get our expeditor sprinter van towed there for an alternator. They took us right in & we were done in a few hours. The waiting area is comfy to.

I do not live here and have used Christian Brothers in the Austin area for years (where I just moved from) but needed an oil change while staying with my mom in Sudan for a short period of time and opted to go out of my way while here to go to this particular Christian Brothers because I trust the name. That was a mistake! First after one call to check their availability I was told I could make an appointment for the next morning, then when I called back 10 mins later after confirming the time worked with my husband and spoke to another gentleman, I was told I couldnt make an appointment and during the time I wanted was their lunch time and they are very busy so its first come first serve. After explaining I was driving in from an hour away & had just been told I could make an appointment, he said he would go ahead & get me in & out. I specifically asked him to do the full check on my Jeep along with the full oil change so that I could ensure my tires, fluids, filters, etc were all in good shape with the amount of driving I am doing these days, I also confirmed this at the time of checking my Jeep in. I was told that would be no problem. It was a quick in & out for sure and upon check out, I specifically asked if I was going to get a report of what all they did like the other Christian Brothers I have been to, his reply was it should be emailed to me but if not to call them back. I asked right then & there how everything looked, specifically my tires, he said everything looks great, nothing needed. Come this morning, 3 days later, still no report in my email so I call, it was emailed with nothing noted. I called back and was told (by the 3rd time I am asking) oh it looks like they actually didnt do an inspection on my Jeep by accident, like I had asked FOUR times. I was lied to at check out and made to feel because it was their lunch time they just wanted me in & out. If I wanted that kind of service, I would have chosen a quick Jiffy Lube style of place and the cost would have been a lot cheaper. I am disappointed in the Christian Brothers name and will definitely not be returning to this location and will be looking for another brand to service my Jeep from now on while here in the Lubbock area and in Dallas, where I am moving to. Austin area Christian Brothers are MUCH better and withhold the reputation I was told CB had.

Everyone at CBA is pleasant to do business with. I asked them to install a lift kit on my Tundra. They took care of me first thing in the morning. Great service, great prices, great people.

I googled places near me that did inspections and called to be sure. The gentleman that answered the phone went above and beyond to help me and referred me to a completely different business since their system was down, and even went the extra mile to help explain the location etc. Then followed up if you have any trouble call me back and I’ll do whatever I can to help. RARE but so GENUINE and HELPFUL!!!! Will definitely be using them in the future!

I been and seen a lot of places but I’ve never seen an auto shop as professional, clean, legit, and full of people who knew what they were doing. They do an outstanding repairs job and the price is right. Their shop name is perfect because they treat you like they’re your brother and that you are part of their family. And if you think about it if we all treated each other like that this world will be a better place.They were exemplary of utmost professionalism, and just simply some amazing humans. The staff and management there in my opinion are doing all the right things and True leaders in their field. It’s truly inspiring to see what you wouldn’t normally see in an auto shop, a group of individuals who invest in their team as family and run their operations like no other auto shop- absolutely outstanding. there are no questions left unanswered and you always know what the status of your car is by text message, it’s perfect and I don’t know why every other auto shop is not doing this already. These guys get it and would highly recommend this auto shop for anyone in the area or driving by. Oh and I highly recommend walking through the beautiful park next door during your wait :-). Took my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it was my moms vehicle and she passed away a year ago. the transmission back in April had a speed sensor issue, told the mechanic/advisor what i believed it was. first, $99 before they would even look at it. Second, once I got the quote back from CB, it was $2200 and they were not even convinced replacing all of the sensors and lead body would fix it. I slowly saved up the money this summer and took the jeep to AAMCO and it cost me $1088. Two sensors replaced and the transmission flushed. Unreal!!!!Took my 2013 Fiat 500c to CB, they changed their fee from $99 to $149 to even look at what was wrong with my car. Ridiculous price but my extended warranty will only deal with CB. Ended up being the battery, $149 + $149 for the battery, was able to get that problem solved. At this point, they still can not duplicate the turbo issue. Made an appointment in Dallas TX, took it to a fiat dealership, they had no issue replicating the issue with the turbo. Didnt charge 1 penny to look at it either. Paid my deductible on the turbo and havent had an issue.Very nice people at this place, prices are out of this world and I would be skeptical of the quote and get a second opinion.

I have been using CBA for about three years. They are very professional and knowledgeable. I recommend CBA every chance I get. Thank you CBA for taking care of widows and single moms .

So my Air conditioner wasnt working. This place had good reviews according to what I had looked up. They actually lie to you. You half to know your vehicle well other wise you will be ripped off. I took my car in and they said it was the air compressor. They charged 4 hundred something just to put the part on. Within a month, The air conditioner wasnt working again. I took it back in and they said the whole fuse box was burnt and needed changing for 1,000 dollars or they could rig it to another location for $391. At the end of the day, I figured out it was a simple fuse to be replaced for less than $5 . Very crooked people and I will never go there again! Update August 25-2020- My A.C. has still worked great since the fuse was replaced!! The box is fine on my car! Nothing was burnt just the one fuse that was replaced !

UPDATED -- Ive have used Christian Brothers in Lubbock on multiple occasions. I recently had a brake job performed and a courtesy check prior to a family trip. The technician failed to tighten the lug nuts thoroughly on my front left wheel so 7 hours down the road I noticed a vibration in the steering and a clicking noise. Fortunately, I caught it soon enough to avoid excessive damage. When I returned to Lubbock Josh and his team went above and beyond to ensure any issues or damaged parts were fixed. I expected a hassle over the issue, but they fixed everything hassle free and made sure I was treated honestly and fairly. I was very humbled by their integrity in handling my issues and concerns.

It’s one thing when you call a business and they give you good service, but it’s something else entirely when you find an employee of a company who sees that you have a problem and does everything within their power to help you solve it. My husband and I are in our 70s and had just finished shopping in Lubbock. We were getting ready to get in our car and leave when an employee of Christian Brothers Automotive came over and asked if we knew that we had a rapidly deflating front right tire on our 2018 Prius. Not only did we not know we had a flat, but I was personally stunned to find out that this car as many other new cars, no longer have spare tires. Instead, there is a kit that will allow you to get the tire into enough working condition to limp to a tire repair shop. He stayed right with us, figured out how to use the emergency repair kit, got the tire inflated and then insisted on following us to the nearest tire repair shop in case we happen to have a problem along the way. It is this company’s concern for their their customers and, in this case, for people who just needed help, that will cause me to call Christian Brothers Automotive for any vehicle related issues I may have in the future. Based on my experience with this company today, I would highly recommend them to anyone who finds themself in need of auto service in Lubbock.

This place is a rip off. If you are thinking of getting any service, I will highly recommend to check other shops in the area before even thinking of leaving your car with them. they are so sketchy, and tells you a hall another different problem that does not need any work on the car. they seem professional when you talk to them on the front desk but what they do at the back (maintenance shop) is so ridiculous.

Im a first time customer of Christian Brothers and I was so pleased and overwhelmed with the customer service and the way they keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle. Great group of guys!!! My car started billowing steam from the hood, my radiator blew. I had to pull over on the side of the road while traveling on the loop. I called CBA because they have worked on my car before. CBA called a tow truck and it picked up my car and me in 10 min. I have been unemployed due to the Covid-19 virus and had very little money. When Sammy called me to let me know what was going on with my car, he said that Auto Zone donated a radiator and CBA was going to take care of the labor and the tow truck. I am very humbled by CBA and Auto Zones generosity, words cant express my gratitude toward these guys. Thank you. Also, these guys do great work and are honest mechanics - hard to come by these days. First and foremost they Work for Jesus they have pins on their shirts that say so they also have the 10 commandements on their wall.Anyone who know Gods law knows Jesus. And for my vehicle they put a brand new motor in a 2015 Sorento in less then 2 weeks their works is guaranteed great customer service they offer coffee or water and use masks to prevent Covid spread thank you Christian Brothers and mechanics

DO NOT GO HERE!! Very expensive!! Took my vehicle for two leaks a coolant and power steering. They threw parts at both not actually diagnosing the problems. I picked up the vehicle to find both leaks persisted took it back they fixed one and brought it home to realize they didn’t fix the other one. Finally told them after 3000$ for two parts that were 500$ that i would never go back

Very polite people. Loved how they kept me updated with the service . i especially loved the online estimate with pictures and very detailed explanation of what problems my car had. I just feel the pricing for labor is very high . i understand the repairs needed but before i took my car it was not pulling to the right and my steering wheel feels very stiff now for some reason . i only had them look at my car and did not have any repairs besides the services on my ac but im just not uderstanding why its doing what its doing now and i bearly picked it up 3 hours ago .

Probably the nicest waiting room Ive ever come across in the history of car mechanic places. They are super friendly here, and seemed confident in helping me in a timely manner. Kinda expensive, but the way they treat you is so straightforward and professional.

Last year they fixed my 1997 Jaguar XJ6L with a bad shaking problem because of a cylinder misfire caused by a going bad EGR valve and no one else in Lubbock good because no one else works on jags and no one else in Lubbock good because no one else works on Jaguars after three years of other shops just throwing parts at it but never fixing it to the point the car wouldn’t run at it all till we took it to Christian brothers Automotive they replaced the bad EGR valve that’s how I found out it was the EGR valve that was bad and after that the car runs like a dream expert service great price good on time as well very professional I highly recommend to anyone with an old Jaguar or any car that needs repairs

I took my car here to get fixed because my engine light had went on and my car was going off and had show low power source and check etc...so they checked it gave me diagnostic. Apparently said it was a gas can they had to replace it so I said ok. They kept my at for 3 days but finished it in 2 days. I couldnt get it out til that Friday because thats when I got paid. The whole bill was 348 and change. So I went to work after I picked up. On my lunch break I turned on my car ad my a.c. running and all the sudden my was doing the same thing. Called immediately. They said to go back so they can what the problem was again. My fiance took my car back and they just gave her a while new diagnostic and said we ad to pay more for more wore which was incredibly frustrating because Christian Brothers should of replace it from the get go. I would never recommend this shop to anybody.

I trust them fully with my car and recommend them to any one seeking car repair options. They will pick you up, both before and after the repair, they guarantee all their work, and they are the friendliest people to work with. I was loaning my car to my sister for a few months, and it began experiencing brake problems. She took it to Christian Brothers, and they said to fix the brakes would be $1400, plus that the car needed $1000 of additional work, including changing the water pump (which I had changed myself less than two years prior), and flushing the transmission--anyone who knows anything about old cars knows you dont flush the transmission of a 30-year old car, or else you could ruin it. In fact, really you dont flush the transmission of any older car unless you KNOW its been regularly flushed. I wished I could have been there to ask the guy, Do you just not know what youre doing, or are you intentionally trying to cheat me?I took it to M&M on Ave. L and they fixed the brakes for less than $500.

The keys got locked in the car. Called AAA and they sent out Larry from Christian Brothers. Thought wed be waiting an hour or more. He was there in 10 minutes and done in 10 more. Larry was very professional and friendly. Rescued us and made our day!

Nice guys but way over priced- $117/hr for labor is more than most dealerships... Got to pay for the nice building somehow, I guess. Not sure of their knowledge and expertise as I just had them reprogram my computer to recognize a new key cylinder which I changed out in the parking lot myself. I can definitely think of a lot better (and cheaper) places to take my vehicle in Lubbock but being Christmas week, most were closed.Update: Per owners response- Josh, I appreciate your response and would be happy to sit down with you and discuss further. I had to get my car towed to Christian Brothers after it wouldnt start. Normally I would take my car to the auto shop down the street, but decided to try out another auto shop instead. I lucked out, in the best way. The staff at Christian Brothers was helpful, friendly, and even made sure to introduce themselves to me when I first arrived at the store. They wanted to make sure that I knew what was going on, and explained everything to me exactly as I had hoped. Excellent car service AND customer service.

I needed to have my car checked after hearing a rattling sound and having run over a deer carcass. The staff was extremely kind and gave me a lot of information on what needed fixing and what they were able to gather. Their on campus shuttle was extremely helpful and I used it to and from to complete my obligations for the day. They have incredible customer service and very talented staff working in the shop. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a trustworthy car inspection or to have something fixed. After they looked over the car, I got a report of everything they checked and pictures accompanying all of their comments and recommendations for fixes. Next time I need something, theyre who Ill go to!

Decent people but my God. Im just passing through and I spent my entire day here all the way up to closing time to learn that they dont have the part I need. Even then Im not sure I would want them to do the work to begin with. In the 6+ hours I spent here a lot of people came in with issues on recently serviced vehicles. Should have just gone to Toyota.

I took my car in to get a brake change at 8:20am Wednesday 3/5/2020 and here it is 11:53am Thursday 3/6/2020 and they still have my car and when you call in to ask whats going on with the car they say they are busy and diaplay an attitude because im calling in seeing what taking so long i have never been anywhere and it takes almost 2 days to get a brake change this is piss poor service. Not Recommended.

Terrible experience, horrible communication, couldnt care less about the customer, decent lobby snacks.Took my car there to get it inspected. Waited over an hour to find out my power steering fluid was not filled up all the way. He insisted that he was not going to add one drop of power steering to it. He did not care whatsoever. Told me to run down to a parts store and top it off then come right back. Then, theyd pass the inspection. I was back there in about 5 minutes at which point he told me oh, its lunch break time. Do you want to just hang out for an hour? He did not apologize for giving me bad instructions or anything. I held my tongue and left. Came back a couple of hours later, and then they tell me they cant pass it because of my exhaust. This is after they just told me to top off my power steering and they would pass it.Ive been talking to multiple other owners of the same car, and they directed me to the Texas rules under DPS. I went back the next day with my car, knowing it would pass inspection, and the guy there was even more of a jerk than the day before. He refused to talk to the inspector, he refused to look up anything, he refused to give a care. He told me to go get them on the phone and prove what I was telling him. I did just that, then came back with the website and regulations pulled up, and he would not even look at it. He just said flat-out no. We will not help you. He gave no justification and he had absolutely no remorse. It seemed like he enjoyed messing up my day.

I was referred to this place by my brother. I was treated warmly when I arrived and was kept well informed about the status of my car after I dropped it off. I would recommend bringing your vehicle here if you want a fair price and fast (usually one day) service.

Anything but honest car care. Seems like they use the word Christian in order to get you to believe theyre being honest. They also are great at maintaining 5 star reviews because they give you discounts if you post a good review on here or yelp. I paid $200 for the same jobs that Christian Brothers was quoting me over $1000 to do. Anything but honest service and I am very very disappointed.

I had some major repairs that needed to be done to my car, and the customer service from this branch was outstanding. They kept me informed on what was being done by text messages and sent emails of photos of parts that needed attention. They also offer shuttle services to and from the shop - which is a great bonus! After everything was done, my car ran better than it had run in the past! If you are looking for respectable and honest mechanics, this is the place to go.

I dont usually write reviews, but...They really do hold up to their name and provide excellent service. I was amazed to be offered a ride home while my car was repair and be offered pickup service upon completion. They gave emailed me a full diagnostic of the problems with my vehicle including pictures with an itemized breakdown of the cost for each part and the cost of labor (nothing hidden).When I spoke with the mechanic who was responsible for my repairs, he was extremely understanding and knowledgeable without being pushy about making any repairs that I didnt feel comfortable with at the time. I could go on...

Ill start by saying I cannot comment on their actual mechanical work on my vehicle as I chose not to use them because they were going to be about $300-700 more than several area competitors not including the $100 I paid for the diagnostic. I can however comment on their great customer service and that they offer a 24 month/24,000 mile warranty on their work. Thus the neutral review for positive service but significant difference in price.I had the same problem about 6 other customers had on the same day... AC was on the fritz. My family and I were on the first leg of our summer road trip when the AC just starting blowing hot air from one minute to the next. Took it in and it was a cracked compressor. The gentlemen working the front were very nice and helpful. Although the price they quoted was more expensive than a few other shops in the area, I would recommend them for their timely service, positive attitude, and upfront nature. They even have a shuttle to take you back home or work if you cant stay (I did not use the shuttle because I had driven in about 45 minutes from Post, Texas to get the diagnostic and it was outside their range).

Called and within 15 mins Larry, roadside assistance tech, was out to help get my battery charging. Not only did he get the vehicle started, we ran through a series of potential causes and quick-fixes. Above and beyond service, well worth more than the service call charge. Highly recommend and thankful for the service.
