Keith is an awesome guy. We had an issue before Ironman 70.3 Lubbock 2021 and his team came through in the clutch. My friend was freaking out and they calmed her down. Now because of these folks, she is going to be able to compete in an event that she has worked really hard for. Companies like this are what need to be made an example of.
I have been a cyclist for 10+ years…signed up for Lubbock 70.3 (2021) and traveling from out of town. I had a complete crisis, these guys did everything and more to serve someone who didn’t know the area and took the time to help. I can’t say enough about this bike shop and wish my own local shops were as generous and kind! They could have taken advantage of someone out of town willing to pay what it took and they decided to help instead.
This place is a joke does not even want to help and they are a Dealer take your money elsewhere. Good luck after you buy your bike and needs some repair. They dont even want to try to help. Greg teach your employees customer service.
Most people dont know much about bikes. No one knows everything. Keith and Greg and do everything and then some to accommodate everyone, no matter their experience. They bend over backward to do all they can for everyone they can. I have been riding and armature racing for 20 years. These guys are great!
The DFC bike repair guy projected the attitude that my bike was beneath him. He said, Bring me a bike I can work on next time. He literally said that after I complained that the bike was not rideable. I should have listened to my friends who advised me to steer clear of DFC. He also stated, I watched you riding the bike just now, and you are riding it incorrectlyIve attached a video of me pedaling the bike after DFC repaired the bike. Im simply pedaling at a leisurely pace and the drive train is clearly skipping. They said the bike was repaired, charged me $80, then told me that the bike is not worth their time and that I do not know how to ride a bike.I will contest the charges and fix the bike myself. The video that Ive attached was taken as soon as I got home. It is obvious that they did not test ride the bike, the drive train constantly skips.Update: I fixed the bike, it was easy. It took me 20 minutes to fix the issue with basic tools. DFC had this bike for a week and didnt fix the issue.
Rude beyond measure and if I could cuss on here without it getting deleted then there would be a few choice words for the sad excuse for guys that work there. You walk in and they immediately act like you are beneath them. Like working at a bike shop makes them more holy than thou. Sorry we don’t know your bike lingo and actually have a life, ask for a mountain bike and the guy says “do you see any mountains around here?” No but I saw some earlier on your moms chest you POS. Sorry excuse for professionalism.
Friendly, knowledgeable, 5 star service start to finish!!Thanks for all of your help and patience!!
Great people! Always prioritize their customers and deliver professional quality work. Usually do not even charge for service time and only for necessary parts.
Great place with even greater, hardworking people working there. Highly recommended!
This bike shop made me feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I walked in ready to spend a lot of money for a new mountain bike and left extremely frustrated. They treated me like I wasn’t worth their time or they thought I didn’t have enough money to buy anything. I asked the employees about ordering a new bike and they said the owner was the only person that could help me, but he had no interest in helping me at all. In fact he never called me back. I understand that bikes and parts are next to impossible to get right now, but at least tell me you can’t help me. I never leave reviews, but when you spend thousands of dollars on a bike you should at least get decent customer service. Do yourself a favor and go to Velocity down the street.
Im new to the area and I came here first because of all the reviews. I came in and spoke with a gentleman which was the owner of the business. He was very professional and attentive to what I am as asking. He looked at the bike and broke it down to what was needed and discuss the issue and price point along the way. After all was said done he suggested that I should just get another one because of what it needed I could easily get another one. I told him that I appreciate his honesty his opinion. Yes he could have taken advantage of this but he didnt. That right there does say a lot of him and his business. Indo plan on taking his advice and when Im ready I will definitely buy from his business.
I called the store to ask for an specific bike I found online and could only be ordered through local retailers, when I asked how the process was, whoever answered the phone was extremely rude and told me you cant order, period and you have to settle for whatever is in store. I understand there is a shortage of bikes, but that is not the way to explain it. He went on to dismiss any of the things I said. While he gave me useful information on how to move forward with my search, the whole time I felt attacked for not knowing how things work. I will not be going to that store to look for my bike.
I brought my bicycle in to get the 10 speed rear durailer replaced. (Shimmano shifters are only comparable with Shimmano durailers). They installed a Suntour rear durailer instead. They apparently didnt think Id notice that it dont shift through all the gears. I went to a different local bike shop and they looked the correct part up on line and found that there is over forty available. Instead of just grabbing something off thei shelf and slapping it on not caring if the job was done right the other local bike shop ordered the correct part for me. After it is fixed I intend on returning the $130:00 part to them with no receipt because I didnt get one from them when the work was done (I didnt think the receipt was necessary based on trust). We will soon see if they honor their customers based on good faith and the fact that they did the job wrong and need to get it right.
Great service, so kind and helpful! We will be back!
I have been a customer of DFC for 25 years and I have purchased a number of bicycles from them. Their service is exceptional. They listen carefully to my needs and guide me to the correct bike for my needs. They ensure the bike fits and that it is set up correctly for me or my family members. They have great advice for upgrades and they provide quick service. I have been very pleased with this shop.
Got my bike up and running the same day and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to everyone.
After shopping online I realized you can’t ship the giant brand to your home address from retailers due to giant brand thinking you get the best possible experience having qualified mechanics from the retailers set the bikes up for the customer to ensure the best experience possible with the brand. This was definitely not the case for me. After driving 5 hours total to get a stance 29”, a $1700 bike. I took it for a ride as soon as I got home excited to see what a bike at this price point would feel like after having Walmart Quality bikes my whole life. After riding it a while and realizing the bike would not downshift at all from the highest gear I was quick to realize this bike had never even been inspected after assembly. The cable on the chain derailer was not even hooked up causing the cable to get wadded up in the trigger shifter on the handle bar after I tried to shift the bike. Had to order another trigger shifter at my own expense because why would i want someone to fix the bike that couldn’t get it right the first time? Also found the air shock at 40 psi. A 5 year old could bottom it out sitting on it. Terrible experience for the price point. We are truly living in the times of if you want it done right do it yourself. Pride and reputation is a thing of the past. Not to mention the girl working the counter had her head buried in her iPhone the whole time and seemed like she would’ve rather been anywhere but there helping customers.
Great service, very friendly! They give you great advice and are honest. They don’t nickel and dime you! I’ll support these local guys any day over a box store!
DFC is a fabulous place to take your bike for repairs. Have a vintage bike and they keep her gliding smoothly along the pavement! Best service. You are going to love them!!!
Always great working with this shop. I’ve bought six bikes over the years and have had an outstanding service experience every time. I highly recommend dfc Cycles and Fitness.
Good Job
Keith helped me get my electric bike back on the road fast and very fair price. Thanks.
Nice place to fix your bike. Also they have everything to add to your bike. Good costumer service.
As long as you dont get a young lady every one else is really nice and helpful
I decided to get into mountain biking to get into shape. Bought a used bike, and immediately realized I loved it and wanted a new one. I decided on an entry level bike. They had me ride a couple of different frames to make sure they found a good fit. I know nothing and everyone there has been patient, friendly, and informative every time I have gone in. I highly recommend them.
They had what I was looking and good prices
Great experience at DFC. Friendly and very helpful. Got us going in the right direction. Having someone with experience help in-store is something you dont get online. Thanks Greg! We will be back!
Always helpful and knowledgeable! Always fair with pricing. Treats repeat customers very well.
I have been a customer of DFC Cycles since 2009. I have purchased 4 road cycles from them since then and they have maintained them for me all of those years. Their service is excellent! Great people.
They are doing a excellent work my Mongoose 26mag
The guys here really know their bikes. Great place.
I am doing a triathlon in May and was looking for a good (and economical) starter road bike. I am 5’1 about 190lbs and was having trouble finding a used one that would be to my height. I called around and the man that answered at DFC said they had two used ones that would fit me. When I go they have one that is about $500 and the man that helped me said that the bike wouldn’t fit my size but didn’t care to explain why. I figured out later that it was too tall for my build. The second bike that did fit me was about $300 but looked very old. The man just stood there while I looked at the bike and tried to get on it. Said it would need some stuff to be upgraded but didn’t give me any information unless I asked a question. I ended up leaving. I was very unhappy with the customer service. I am very new to the whole cycling world and now know that I will not go back to that place for ANY of my future cycling. It was as if the worker did not consider me worth his time since I was only looking at a $300 bike and not a $2000 bike. I ended up buying a bike at Broadway bikes and there’s no comparing the customer service. So if you’re looking for a first time bike or want good customer service I would recommend going to Broadway bikes and not setting foot in DFC
I walked in and they didnt act like they wanted to sell me anything. There was no Hello, no what are you looking for?, Nothing. I walked back in a second time just to make sure I wasnt making a hasty decision. Exact same thing happened. I guess they dont want my business. I drove down to Velocity bike shop on 50th.
Great Friendly Service and expert advice!!
I am so surprised by the negativity of some of the reviews! Ive had nothing but great customer service here. In conservative Lubbock, that is saying a lot as I cannot tell you how many times Ive entered an establishment and been treated very differently from someone with less of a tan than myself. THAT being said, my son, who lives with Aspergers works in the medical district. After being diagnosed with chronic leukemia, I felt it important for him to learn to live independently. We found him a studio apartment near his place of employment within walking distance. A co-worker noticed he was walking and donated a used bicycle. It never occurred to me that hed WANT to ride a bike but I think he took to it because someone gave it to him. Of all things, gratefulness to strangers is one of his most appealing qualities. So, coming from new Hampshire, DFC was the ONLY bike shop I knew of just cause I drove past it on my way home from work every day. The blind leading the blind, I took my son there with his donated bicycle. We were shown everything hed need to ride a bicycle safely to and from work during daylight and night time hours in all possible weather conditions. We couldnt have spent more than $200 on our first trip and we were treated just as well as someone spending gobs of money. Whenever weve had an issue with the bike, weve gone back. I strongly believe if it aint broke! lol Each and every time weve had excellent customer service and all our endless questions were answered patiently. Now, yes, there have been maybe two times we went in there that it was a madhouse and there was only one person on the floor, but he acknowledged us and since we could see with our own eyes he was busy, we anticipated having to wait and did, patiently. Son and I made the decision to purchase his new bike here once his donated bicycle needs to be replaced solely based on the customer service.
Two Thumbs Up!!! Thanks!!! I will recommend to my friends.
I’ve gone to DFC for years now and have had zero complaints. I have been extremely pleased anytime I have gone in for service, repairs, or new equipment. I come in spur of the moment and they have fixed my bike right then and there and I’m back on the road in no time!
As an amateur needing help fitting just the right bike, dfc was the BEST
OUTSTANDING Service and help... as usual!
Very pleased w/service &staff & price was awesome
DFC CYCLE & FITNESS heard I was in the market for a new mountain bike via my girlfriend who has done business them for years. DFC Bike Mech Keith personally transported a 2015 Giant Anthem SX all the way up from Lubbock to Palo Duro Canyon State Park for me to test ride. I fell in love with the bike immediately. Keith and I had a great ride in PDC. DFC CYCLE & FITNESS also made easy arrangements for me to purchase the bike.Billy ReedAmarillo Tx
Went there searching for a specific tire size...I was told that they dont carry that size and Im pretty much on my own...didnt try to offer any kind of help locating my tire size or anything, they basically blew me off
Products are cheap pos stuff, i bought a spore wrench and the first time I try to use it, it broke.
