I was looking for an alternative to the big box store lumber places and I found it!! This place will be my go to for lumber and plywood from here on out!

The employees were wonderful. I thought they closed at 6 but they actually close at 5. I got there just minutes before 5 and instead of telling me they were closing they got the wood I needed, cut it for me and loaded it in my truck! Most stores start announcing that they are closing in 15 minutes and basically telling you to leave but not these guys.

Drove into town looking for a 4x12x20 on Friday and when I though there was no chance of finding one in town before the weekend these guys went straight to work on it and solved my problem. Greg and the guys are more than a place to buy hardwoods, softwoods, plywood, sheet goods, and any type of molding you can imagine, they will quickly become part of your extended team.As a DIYer and woodworking hobbyist, I needed a place where I could get wood, and also a place to learn and gain experience woodworking. This is the place! Theyve made recommendations for trying out different woods, how to accomplish my projects, and they have all the materials, hardware, screws, glue, and helpful advice I need to help keep my wood projects going. They even have router bits, saw blades, sandpaper, brad nails, and all the fun stuff you need!An added bonus for others like myself that cant pick up full size sheet goods like 4x8 sheets of Ash, Oak, or Birch, they will deliver it to you! Try as I might, I cant fit those in my suburban ManyVan! (Ok, so a minivan isnt manly, but it sure is convenient!)Its a huge warehouse full of all the wood any hobbyist or professional needs, with a staff that couldnt be more fun. This is where the local pros come for their orders, and its great to be able to get supplies at a price that beats the Big Box Blue and Orange stores. Plus their selection is much better! So far Ive tried their Hickory, Cherry, Black Walnut, Ash, and Pine, but they have much more.If you havent been there, you are spending too much. Its a short drive up Loop 289 North to University. From there go south just to Oberlin and turn right. Its a dirt road, but we all know in Lubbock, the best places to go are down a dirt road!Happy Woodworking!

They dont measure boards properly. They go by widest part, not usable area. Prices are cheaper but so is quality.
