Went in to sell 2 Korg music workstations with a Peavey amp. Guitar Center would sell all 3 for over $4,000 collectively, but only wanted to give me $2,100 for all of them. All 3 items are in pristine condition and they wanted to give me the average price. The young man who was working on the sell went to speak to the manager, but was told not to pay us any more than what was first quoted. When I told him I wasn’t going to get ripped off the associate told us we were better selling the stuff somewhere else anyway since all the business wanted to do was give us less than what they should have paid.

Super helpful staff. Spent alot of time answering my questions. Dealt with Cory and Chris plus the store manager sorry I forgot his name. But everyone was awesome.

I went in to get help with my electric guitar, however one employee was unhelpful about the guitar and couldnt provide any information. In fact, I was told my guitar had crayon marks on it, when in fact they were guitar pick marks. Therefore, I turned around and went to a pawn shop, and was provided an abundance of information and help. I do not recommend Guitar Center.

Great place to purchase the music instruments! Recently we got 5 piece drum set for our 8yrs old boy and he is enjoying playing it. The staff are courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

Great store if you want guitars or drums. I called first to find out if they had what I was looking for and they said they did but when I got there they said they have never carried it in their store. They didnt know they have them listed in their online store either. They are very specialized.

My husband and I purchased a guitar from this store for our nephew. It was our first time in this particular store and we had a few questions about what they had in stock. The employees just didnt seem interested in helping or making a sell or doing anything really so we helped ourselves and picked out the one he wanted. After taking it home that same day and tuning it the strings busted because they were old and worn. When we called they suggested we buy new strings.. thats ok I guess I only wish they wouldve been more attentive in the sale they were making that day it wouldve saved us the headache. I wouldnt come back or recommend. Do better!

Great place with lots of options! A little pricey on some things, but knowledgeable customer service. They do have very stylish face masks!

I have grown up at this store. The workers are helpful and attentive and were very accommodating when we had to have a defective guitar replaced. No problems, they helped us out and got us a new guitar without any hassle. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff keeps me coming back for all my music needs. The selection of gear is nice too. If you need it, theyve got it or can order it for you.

Completely rude. Literally trying to rush you outta of their store. One of the salespeople was being rude and then when he found out we were buying something he turned into Mr Nice Guy. Will never go back and would rather spend more money somewhere else than go back to this location.

Great experience from the moment I walked in the door. I wasnt able to find a specific microphone that I needed for an existing system at other electronic stores. In fact, the employees at other stores stared at me like a deer in headlights when I showed them what I needed. When I walked into guitar center, I was immediately greeted by employees and as soon as I showed them what I needed they knew exactly what they were doing and immediately took me to the section of the store that had what I needed and showed me my options. Very pleased with the knowledgeable and pleasant staff.

I waited 30 minutes for someone to turn on the speakers but no one showed up. The guy who was supposed to come help us saw us leaving and no one asked if we were helped or not. The speakers I wanted was on sale and I was ready to buy it but now I’m getting it online with free shipping free tax. Very poor costumer service. I do not recommend this place.

Was in recently and man what a train wreck. I was amazed at how many staff was working and how many were actually doing something. I was mostly helped by Josh who was knowledgeable and great but before that I have been in twice in a few days an not a single person even spoke. Not a Hello, nothing to even acknowledge my presence. Several just standing around the cash wrap. The “guitar guy” never even smiled. Matt I think, I even over heard him talk another customer before me OUT of a more expensive pedal and try to sell him a less expensive pedal. I get it, preferences are preferences but not smart business. Outside of Josh, not one staff member even acted like they wanted to be there, not a smile in sight and Matt the guitar tech just frowned and flared at everyone. The manager has his toddler kids at the store while he was on duty and it was a big distraction.These people need to understand GC globally is in financial trouble!! The best way to sink a business to do exactly what you are doing!!

They were very helpful and nice. And it was a big plus that what we needed was on sale. So win win all the way around.

You can see how much they have changed in the last couple of years. My husband is a drummer and 2 of the last 3 times weve been there he has sold a set of drums to other customers because they needed help and there was no one else around.

Ive had good experiences at the store in times past, but the last visit ruined it. I had bought a new guitar for my daughter. We didnt find out the jack was loose until we got home. We live out of town, so I had to wait until the next month to go back. I bought insurance for it, and it was under manufacturer warranty. When I went back to the store, I was told to call the people that handle the insurance for it. I called while I was right there. I was told that because it was under manufacturers warranty a claim shouldnt be submitted because it was a defect from the manufacturer. I relayed that to the store associate who was waiting for for a response. The manager, on the other hand, did not go along with what the rep had said to do. She, instead, put it in the system as a claim and submitted a return with no refund for the insurance portion, and I had to pay for insurance AGAIN. WTH?! Thats not cool.

These guys rock. Yes, Ive had to ask someone for help... but then Id prefer asking for help over being asked every 90 seconds if Im finding everything alright. I traded in a guitar... got a fair price without going back and forth like a car lot. I asked for help picking out an amp... I received great advice... yes they looked at me like I was a little dumb at times, but describing sound isnt always straightforward... the point is I went home with a couple of killer amps that I previously knew nothing about

They have the products at hand usually but, are generally less knowledgeable about them as afar as DJ equipment goes. Guitar wise they are spot on.

They are awesome to work with. I wanted to order an item that was online and on sale. The sale ended in less than 12 hours and it was showing back-ordered and would not let me order on line. They took the packaged deal and went through it and created me a similar package with a little better components for not much more than the original. Once the package was set I was able to replace the cheap microphones with Sennheiser e935s (obviously I had to pay the difference). They were great to work with.

My husband and I are 100% healthy. Wanted to buy my son a drum set today but was refused service. They lost a customer!!

Overall a nice store. Its clean and has a large selection. Staff is often chatting amongst themselves and not very handy to help, but when you go track one down, they usually know their stuff.

We belong to the stick club and have for a couple of years but recently i have been into this store several times and more times than not they have been very rude. in trying to return an item instead of saying i’m sorry we can’t do that their response was “that’s just the way it goes”. we will be taking our business to tarpleys for sure!!!!

Employees were of no help they looked at me like I was stupid for asking questions like everyone that goes in there is suppose to be experts. I felt ashamed that I asked for help because I honestly had little knowledge of anything in that store. Employees were honestly just sitting around and one guy was even reading! Most of the guitars need to be restrung and the salesman who helped me told me the amp I wanted was only available as the floor model, I prefer a new one in a box so I said No, however he never gave me any other option other than waiting. I ended up ordering online from a different Music Store.

Every nice staff helped me buy a great guitar that i love.Never thought id enjoy my experence when people told me it wasnt the best guitar center but i was plesently suprised.no better place togo to get a guitar it was the easiest and most enjoyable experence i have had wouldnt have spent my time looking there if they wouldnt havebeen so nice. Would deffinantly go back and buy another guitar from there.

Guitar Center is an incredible store in general, but the last couple visits to Lubbock location have been less than stellar. While there are still lots of guitars, the nice ones are few and sparse. The nicer ones they do have are on the top row, making it difficult to try and play! Do they not want people to purchase $2000 guitars???!!!And the sales staff is less than excited to be there and not helpful.I still love GC but please step your game up?
