Horrible experience. Katrice who I talked to on the phone about a one way trip told me it would be $61 dollars, when we got there the price doubled. Then katrice told my dad and I they had no tow dollies to rent, and there were none in town available at all, we had already drove two hours. She wouldnt even look into finding a place that would rent one she just said none were available at all in lubbock. We ended up finding one on our own in Lubbock no thanks to katrice . Never again will I call uhaul on 34th in lubbock katrice just sat there and lied out her butt because she is lazy I hope this gets to management

Severe termite damage to my belongings in storage. Items had been stored for only 6 months. Non-climate controlled room was the only one available after the reservation for a large climate controlled room was lost. To date, no response of any kind to my vomplaint.

I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and the vehicle I received I’ve never rented from U-Haul before and I have to say it was definitely a great experience staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I made reservation to pick up u boxes showed up and they lost it so i could not get my things had to reschedule for the next day they told me to be here at 500 got here at 445 they then told me they were behind to go and talk to the manager inside I waited in line for over an hour only to be told that they could not do anything I would just have to wait until they could get the boxes down with no kind of time frame horrible horrible place dont use this

I rented a 6x12 trailer for a move to Austin this morning (12/21) and was assisted by Brandon. He was great!! I can’t say enough about his customer service. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and even went the extra mile by hooking up the trailer to my truck which saved me some effort and time. You guys are lucky I don’t have a U-Haul franchise. I would’ve poached Brandon on the spot. A++ service and great job!

I would give no stars if it would let me. I spoke with the Regional Manager and paid my bill so I can get my things out. She even took off some of my late fees me. Then when I get here to get my things, my lock is stuck. I have the right key but the lock is stuck on the door hinges. I ask for help and was rudely told no I would have to pay a locksmith. So I call the Regional Manager back and even after she spoke with the store manager, I got no help and the same rude response. I will not use U-haul again for anything at all. Another company no matter how expensive just won my business.

The staff (a guy named Chandler) is super friendly, helpful, and nice. He put my towing connector on and did an towing inspection for me. Its a very pleasant experience with this uhaul location and Chandler deserves a 5 star for his service!

Im a Red Raider Mom I recommend this Uhaul location with the coronavirus we need it a storage unit to put our sons stuff they were very nice and friendly and they asked us is your Son a Student and We said yes he goes To Texas Tech and they give us a discount right away recommend a climate control unit the perfect size the only reason we move out is because he is going back to class Monday and he needed his stuff My son even said Mama keep on paying for the unit in case if they have to To closed Tech again we can use the same unit 🙂

I have never been here and did not have a minimum of 45 minute wait. Three seems to be ppl in the office and guys outside busy but never more then one checking customers in.

Had a great, pleasant experience at this location. First time renting from this location. Dealt with three employee all of whom were courteous and nice. The process was smooth and there were no problems with the rental. It was an in-town rental. Rented a 10’ truck. Would rent from here again.

Customer service rep was nice and helpful, did have some issues but not related to this location, even so he was able to help me out and solve my issue, overall great service.

I love this place.. I go here every time I need to move a simply little sofa to a 4 bed rooms house. Gary is the best worker there. All of the people there are helpful. I tell them what I want to do and how I want to do it and they make very helpful suggestions. Awesome place!

This place is a joke and I’ll go to any length NOT to use this place ever again! Very poorly managed and operated! Unprofessional! Dirty! The truck was in horrible mechanical shape. They charge TWICE for a number of things they didn’t mention at the time of pick up, so read the fine print. The guy that answered the phone seems to want his miserable attitude to rub off on customers which kind of worked, reason for this horrible review! The owner should fire him IMMEDIATELY! His name was Keith Speese.

Ever met a short and plump assistant manager named Fernando Zavala? Unfortunately I have. Just came here to pick up a trailer. His little minions have no clue what they are doing and keep leading me back to the front desk for some paperwork. But there was no paperwork. Cant find me in the system? Thats your job. Every time I ask something, they replied with yep, thats all, good luck, anything goes wrong is on you. The whole recorded conversation is being sent to corporate. Seriously, its not that hard to look up a reservation (blaming it on the new system), ignoring your coworkers (probably because you dont know the answer), or having a decent attitude to your customers. Even a college education wont fix your attitude (not that you even started). Sincerely, Long Time Customer.

Very easy to rent a I uhaul when you need it.

The lights on my personal trailer were acting up, so I took it to this U-Haul store to see if they might put a tester on the wiring for me. When I explained that I just needed some troubleshooting assistance, the manager came outside with me personally and put a tester on the wires. He drilled in a grounding screw to the frame and crimped a couple of grounding ring terminals to the taillight grounding wires and had my trailers lights working again in 15 minutes. I think his name was Zachariah (I could be wrong on the name) Excellent customer service. Extremely satisfied.

Katina was AMAZING! They were completely booked across Lubbock and everywhere within 100 miles, she searched and found a 15’ truck for me that was just turned in and made it happen. An angel and a rockstar!! Thanks Katina :)

Returned the moving truck. Easy return, friendly staff, open on Sunday too. Will rent again in the future, if we have the need.

Everyone was helpful and I hand no issues but I waited 40 minutes after I got there in line and getting everything signed to actually get my moving truck. I thought 10 minutes before my pickup time would be early enough, but apparently I thought wrong for this location. Luckily they adjusted my reservation to match when I actually got the truck. The person with a reservation on the same truck right after my 4 hour reservation might not have been as happy with the adjustment though.

All would have been well, if they hadnt price gouged good during the holidays (truck rentals had been more then dubbed) paying tenets.And yes we checked on there site on prices in other areas and they were the only location to do this.Not good!

Fernando was great. Got me into my van in a hurry and his customer service skills are on point. It made my horrible day a little better.

Recently moved using a trailer from Tennessee to this location. Pick up in Tennessee was really fast and the employees handled everything. The guy working the lot had the trailer hooked up to my truck before I even want inside to start the paperwork. I didnt realize how cheap it was to use just a trailer. It ended up costing me around $150 including the 10K property insurance add on. I didnt take this option, but I noticed they have options to have movers meet you at your destination to help you move your stuff in. Dropping off at this location: I pulled into the parking lot and got out of my truck. I made it a few steps towards the front door before I was approached by an employee working the lot. He scanned my trailer with his phone, verified my info, unhooked my trailer and emailed me my recipe. All in about 2 minutes standing right outside of my truck. Uhaul made everything a lot easier for sure.

The store on East 50th is awesome

Simple and easy. These people were very nice and helpful. They made sure to get me the best price based on drop off location for my move from Lubbock to the Dallas area. What more can you ask for? Uhaul is the way to go in Lubbock.

The young lady who was there to unhook the trailer from our vehicle could not unhook the chains or the trailer from the hitch.

They messed up a U-Box shipment by omitting that they were to be shipped immediately instead of stored, despite all shipping information being included in the phone reservation with a quote reflecting the distance. After waiting without furniture or an update for multiple days (the website order panel was blank), we attempted to contact U-Haul only to get the runaround with multiple hours on the phone and multiple transfers.This location apparently had to set up the shipment, but it was impossible to get them to answer the phone because the person who knew how to set up shipments wasnt there that day. Instead of telling us that, they either would not answer the phone or transferred us to the national customer support.The U-Box trailers were also in terrible shape, and they didnt have enough to facilitate three boxes, requiring us to have movers load one and return for an empty one, cutting into paid moving hours.Ultimately, we had no furniture for about a month. If that sounds like a good time, sign up for the uBox service.

They overbooked and cancled my reservations. With no explaination other than no trucks were available!....they put me in a horrible position. I have always only used uhaul......Never again as it turns out there is better Options with Good customer care else where....Zero Stars

I am new to Lubbock and this Uhaul team is amazing. The owner Zechariah Bulls is the most mellow manager I have ever met. Their could be a line out of the door and he never shows his stress or raises his voice or acts frustrated with people. Yes, they do have very busy days with long lines, BUT their personality is so calm. No matter how busy it gets, they are ALWAYS willing to help and explain things to you. Some people get frustrated and leave, but since they are so nice, I never mind waiting. They really do go above and beyond to help you. Depending on the time of day, just be patient and wait because it will be worth it.

Gave us a truck with air sensors on when I told them they said everything was fine well overnight the tires were so low it wasnt safe to drive. Took it back and more than one tire had issues and they didnt offer to refund anything. Never rent from here ever.

Fantastic customer service! Bookings/reservations are time consuming, so you have to be patient with them but the guys are knowledgeable and helpful. Used then to move all my belongings from TN to Lubbock and the process was smooth and easy. Will use them for my next move!

Horrible service got all my credit card information and everything jst to send me a txt message stating that I need to call them and when I saw the text I called and they stated they dnt have any trucks that is very horrible customer service the person who took my information should have known that before hand smh

Glad I found a place to get propane refills at a fair price. These guys are usually busy but do their best to get you taken care of in a timely manner.

Understaffed, nobody at the front desk for long periods of time. It took over an hour to get my trailer. When I finally got my trailer they tried to sell me a taillight converter I didnt need. In summary if you do go here, expect to have to wait. And if they try to sell you something saying they wont rent to you without it, take a look at it yourself and make sure they arent just trying to screw you out of extra money.

I have never rented from here but i have purchased moving supplies. They have a very helpful staff and literally everything you need to move. I think that uhaul stuff is a tad overpriced.

We made a reservation at another location but it was changed to this location without notice. We went to the other location who was very nice but sent us here. We were going to make it right at closing time so we called ahead and they redirected us to another person, Tammy who was nice and said she would call the location and let them know to wait for us. We arrive and the guy rushes to lock the door and says we are closed we told him we talked to someone who was supposed to call them and he said we havent gotten a call in the past 30 mins which is a lie because we personally had called that location 15 mins ago. Couldnt stay late 15 mins to help us out cause we need to tow our other vehicle home. Will NEVER do business with this location ever again.

I have done all of my business with this location. Rented several trucks, returned several trucks, and purchased boxes multiple times. I didnt have any issues until recently. When trying to return the boxes they gave us hell. We purchased a few bundles for our recent move. They first told us that they couldnt be returned without a reciept so they were going to look it up by our card. We waited and waited more excuses. The lady behind the counter stated that she was getting a manager then proceeded to assist other customers. When we finally stepped forwarded and requested the manager again and asked how long it would take, she made multiple excuses about the place being busy and that she didnt know how long it would take. Then we demanded she go and get him. While away from the counter another polite assistant manager attempted to help. Then was circumplanted by the owner of the locarion. He was extremely rude. While pointing out that this took longer then it was worth, he blatantly ignored us and just kept saying it was the system. Again if you are a customer service supervisor, own the situation. Dont make excuses! I want to make it clear we were getting a refund on boxes that they will then sell to other customers, this makes it easier on the location to not get it from a supplier. This should have not been an ordeal at all. I am super dissapointed from this recent experience.

Was there when we needed them. Have to call and reserve ahead of time. We were stuck 50 miles away. Rented just a few hours and returned. Great customer service.

This location is terribly understaffed. Stood in line for 50 minutes to buy 3 wardrobe boxes, then had to put them back and leave because I had to work. Went back the next day and didn’t even bother to stand in the long line because I knew how long it would take.

The best hours for early bird or procrastinators, very nice employees, the only reason I didnt hive it 5 stars is bc the temperature on the climate controlled 2nd floors is way too hot!

Dont go here for propane unless you want to wait forever. They do charge you by the gallon but EVERYTIME I go its 30-45 min. Today they worked through4 vehicle processing yet I still waited and had to complain to the manager-/owner the only person who can fill bottles evidently. Ill go to KOA. Ridiculous. Took 1 min to fill.

Had a reservation, was told I’d have a truck ready in the morning. At store in morning and there was no truck available, customer service over phone was extremely unprofessional and unhelpful, staff in store we’re not much better.

Very inefficient, all trailers were scattered and if you have a big truck good luck getting in.

Recently visited this U-haul store to pick up a moving truck rental that was previously arranged to be picked up at 9:00 a.m.Upon arrival there was a long line and only one individual working the counter. Horrific customer service and it took over 11/2 hours before I received my truck rental. Very slow service. Will never visit this location again.

This place sucks, I have asked 3 times for a manager to call me back about putting a hitch in my truck and I have still not heard back after 6 hours of waiting, guess they lost my business!!!

One entrance blocked with trailers, no way to pull around through the lot without waiting for somebody to leave. Extremely inefficient.
