My engagement ring has been broken for more than 20 years. The jeweler where we purchased it was unable to make the repair. For our 34th Anniversary my husband suggested that we try to get it repaired. When I approached Shelly at Avonlea and told her about my ring, I was expecting her to say it couldnt be repaired. I was surprised to learn that they have an on site jeweler who would be able to make the needed repairs. I just picked my ring up. Its beautiful. I will once again wear it proudly.(Rosa Calhoun)

My wife bought a crucifix in 2018 at Christmas. Last year, 2020, one of the 5 lacquered inlays dropped off, followed a few weeks later by a second. When I took the jewelery back to be repaired I was told it would be better that it be replaced since lacquer inlays frequently fall off(!!) with frequent cleaning (it has never been cleaned).He then offered to sell me a replacement at full price less 10% (because I returned to my home and retrieved the receipt which they had been unable to find). He offered NO credit for the original crucifix, since, he stated, my wife had not purchased a warranty (she said she wasnt offered that option).I told him I never heard of jewelry wearing out unless it had moving parts. His answer? Thats our policy.Beware when buying there. I believe this is devious and unethical!

I got proposed to yesterday and I took my ring back to the original jeweler and they wanted to take 3 weeks to work on it. I dropped it off and took my lunch to really think about it and do some research. I am a local here in Lumberton and decided to look at a few places closer to home. This was the first store to pop up! I called ASAP, Ms. Shelly answered and said that it could be looked at and possibly ready within an hour! I rushed over an hour before they closed and they sized me, ran my ring to the back and got it done. I waited inside and even purchased 2 silicone bands for my fiancé and I. The service was amazing, the hospitality was amazing, and the overall experience was unforgettable. We will be going back and using them as our permanent jewelry store!

It is beautiful inside, and they are adhering to strict covid-19 cleanliness recommendations.They are pricey, however this is fine jewelry, and Lumberton is always more expensive.I just bought a new ring from them today, and Im a loyal customer. Recently took a piece of jewelry from my mothers estate to have it integrated into my wedding ring. William and the staff were very courteous and friendly. The original necklace gems were used exactly as I asked and the end result has far exceeded my expectations. I now have an original ring that brought me to tears. Avonlea Jewelry restrung two pearl necklaces for me. One was a box of loose pearls that had been a necklace of my great grandmothers. I had no idea how it looked when she had it, but when I got it back from Avonlea I was so happy. It was beautiful! So thankful I have the chance to wear it now. Also, my other necklace was from my late mother-in-law & I broke it. Avonlea came to the rescue & restrung the pearls individually as the other one. They did fantastic work! It was completed in a timely fashion as well. If youre looking for repairs, stringing of pearls or jewelry in general, you need to see them!

I ordered an Anna Beck bracelet online over a month ago. Shortly after I ordered, I was informed that they did not have the bracelet in stock and was offered to either select another item or receive a refund. I chose to receive a full refund. Although Avonlea claims to have processed the refund, I have never received a refund through PayPal or on my credit card. I have emailed Avonlea, and their only response is to claim that the refund has been processed when clearly it has not been processed. Ive had to resort to filing a dispute with PayPal to recover my $402.52. They are either dishonest or incredibly inept at running their business. Caveat Emptor!
