I went to get wood for a project and the guy “helping” me was rude. Admittedly, I’m a young woman who doesn’t have much experiencing building things, but I’m trying to learn. Instead of even pretending to be helpful, this guy got an attitude with me and made some rude remark about not knowing what I was doing. How does Home Depot have better customer service than this place? Needless to say, I didn’t buy anything and won’t be going there for any building needs in the future.

Best price and service on storm door. Basic installation was higher than box store. But the box store had hidden cost to make frame fit so Lyndhurst is cheaper

I needed a cover for my garage drain and couldnt find my size. Although Lundhurst Lumber didnt have it they steered me to the place I did find it. That makes them an excellent resource to me. I will be returning for shelving next week. Great store.

We had some very difficult problems in our kitchen and were not sure they could be fixed. Chris from Lyndhurst Lumber was persistent and creative. Both difficult problems got fixed and even better, he stained some pieces of wood so that you cannot even tell where the problems were. Lyndhurst Lumber has such very nice and helpful people. We are forever customers and they ought to give Chris a raise!

Lyndhurst Lumber is a place for makers, professionals, and for when you dont want to go to a big box store. One gets personalized attention here, and is always treated courteously and knowledgeably.I have forgotten to go here first for some of my home projects and regretted that later. The building is clean and orderly and packed with related goodies, from lumber to remodeling supplies.I love looking about while waiting in order to spot the items built on-the-spot for store purposes (storage rack, pencil holder, etc.). After all, why wouldnt they use their own materials?Prices are sometimes higher than the big boxes, but not by a lot, and often are a bargain. It depends on the purchase. What makes the trip worthwhile is the sense of sharing and friendliness.I called the other day to find out if they carried an item I needed. When they explained they did not, they went a step farther and named places (and locations!) that did.I hope they are there, one block south of Mayfield Rd. and three streets east of Richmond Rd. for a long, long time.👍

Just spoke to this company about Carpentry services - was ridiculed and criticised and put down by the man in charge of the carpentry department. Advise others to avoid this outfit - unless you want insults. Would give them zero or less stars - but they wont allow it - guess they need to inflate their sense of worth

I needed to have a kitchen chair fixed and this was the first place I thought of. I had a soft spot for it because my son had a wonderful mentor from there when he was in high school. The price quoted would have bought a new one. He recommended that I glue it and wrap it tight to hold it together. He said he sold the glue as he put it in my trunk. I thought why not just buy it from here. I followed him back in and heard they just want to pay a nickle or get it for free as he was going through another door. I told the lady I originally spoke with that I was coming back to buy the glue but after that comment I would not be buying it. Not sure if it was my black face or he was having a bad day. Either way, I wont be back to look at doors nor recommending the store.
