I love this ShopRite! I have no complaints about the produce, and entire store is typically very well stocked.  The employees are very helpful and polite. If youre gonna use one of those motorized carts, #8 & #9 are the strongest and fastest.They are open till midnight so I love shopping late to have the store all to myself. The individuals stocking the shelves late at night are also polite and helpful.  Ive never sat down to eat at the buffet area. It always looks clean when I pass it though. Averaging the times Ive used the bathroom over the many years I have shopped here I give it a 9 out of 10.  Overall the expiration dates seem to be rotated very well. The meat department always smells fresh. (No smell is good smell around uncooked meat lol)  I dont have to question the meat section, cold cut department or fish department. That is a huge reason why I continue to shop here!  This is not as remodeled and new as the ShopRite in Wallington but that doesnt matter to me because this location is kept very clean and orderly.  For convenience, they have 2 large deli cases with pre-cut cheese and meats, one for Thumanns and one for other brands. I have never come across expired packages in there, once again, this is why my family continues to give this place thousands of dollars a year in business.Most of the time the check out lines are small to medium. Only on an occasion do I wait long. Approximately 10:30pm-11pm they close all or all but 1 register. Closer to Midnight zero registers may be open, and I have to rely on those self checkouts. I dislike using them, especially with large orders.  (This last comment gives me the opportunity to highlight the fantastic customer service once again) Someone will come over and ask if I need help, or I can ask if I need to.  If you need help to the car they can also call someone for assistance.Now to compare ShopRite to Stop & Shop Lyndhurst or Foodtown N. Arlington.  In the past 30 years ShopRite (all stores in general) has the best selection and variety of any Supermarket Hands Down!  Foodtown is very small and overpriced. Stop & Shop would be the closest thing to 2nd place. If I go shopping at any of these 3 stores without coupons or checking for sales I will leave ShopRite paying the least as well.Best Supermarket in the area!P.S. In case u look at the pics, I wonder if it was humanly possible to stuff that motorized cart more than I did. I decided it was wise to get the eggs next time ha ha

I had a bad experience due to inexperienced cashier and clueless manager (Think Michael Scott from the Office) who both had no idea how to handle Enfamil coupons. However Willie from the store called me and made assurances that it wont happen again.Updating my review as its not a bad place overall and they at least listen to us shoppers. Sometimes you have to hire incompetent family or friend as manager so I understand.

That is the biggest ShopRite Ive ever been to very organized very pleasant, Ive been going there again and again and again. First time you go there youll love it just like I did.

Awful produce section, most of the time you can’t find anything that’s not gone bad, horribly overcrowded and only ever 2 cashiers on at a time even when it’s busy. I go to stop and shop even though it’s more expensive for these reasons

I was in the Lyndhurst store on Saturday and never have I seen an more unprofessional store manager as Dan. (I went out of my way to ask an employee his name just to write this review)I watched him belittle a employee in front of everyone and then threaten to terminate her over from what I gathered was her not wanting to do a job that isn’t hers. Even if the employee was wrong you don’t speak to people the way he did. Other customers and I were commenting that he seemed to be on a power trip and how bad we felt for the young woman he embarrassed in front of everyone. Being the boss does not entitle someone to be mean, rude, disrespectful and humiliate another person. DO BETTER, Dan!!

The young kid Nick was such a big help at self check out. Usually workers are not as willing to help. He was super helpful. Great kid!

LOVE this place. Best music ever. The staff are super friendly and the place has everything we need. They keep it clean and its open 7 days a week until midnight. Whats not to love?

Well, i just have one of the worst experience in customer service. Unfortunately i couldnt get her name, but i will find out, she was working in cashier # 3 at about 9am this morning 08.10.2021. I presented myself with my WIC checks, as i have the checks in one order i line up the food in the same order as the checks were so it will be easier for the cashier, and she just started to get upset that i should have known how to put the checks in order, that is not her job to do that, that she cant use one all checks to pay for the fruits and vegetables, she just started to get mad and raising her voice at me, i explained to her that she was only to follow the list of the checks and she kept saying it wasnt her job, i asked to speak with a supervisor and she grabbed my checks when i asked her to give them back to me, she started to walk away to speak to another staff member, i couldnt tolerate her attitude towards me, i felt discriminated against, i left the store because i was very upset but i came back and spoke with the manager of the store, i never felt so embarrassed and discriminated, people looking at me as i was doing something wrong. I have never felt so embarrassed at people looking at me like i was doing something wrong.

We decided to have lunch there and found it quiet pleasant. The bathrooms are super clean and they have hand wipes everywhere!

I went to order a cake about 8pm. The lady at the bakery was so rude and nasty. Unprofessional. I had to leave and go somewhere else. Worst customer services ever

Paul In grocery has a nasty attitude. I had a simple question, and called the grocery department, he picks up and instead of saying “hi how are you doing how can I help “ he answers saying “what “ I asked my question and In a rude way he says “no we don’t have anymore.” He is very rude and poor customer service skills.

I don’t go to Shop Rite because I have a child with ADHD and anxiety and the customers just give us looks or comments. I like Stop & Shop, they’re more understanding there

This is my favorite supermarket and I have a lot of great hot food which I end up buying often. I just wish there’s a little more consistency. I will often have a hankering for something in particular but that day they won’t have it out.

Im never going to this store again. Ea time I went they were sold out of the seafood item. The Deli doesnt carry Turkey Ham.Belleville & Nutley Shop Rite does. I only went here because was in a rush

Holidays can be stressful and food shopping during these busy times can really drive you nuts. From finding a parking spot to pushing through choked isles, good staff and good customer service are what can make the difference in making the entire grocery shopping experience bearable and maybe even a pleasure. Shoprite of Lyndhurst, NJ is that place.I grew up in New Jersey, Newark actually and my mom is still there. Visiting for the Thanksgiving from my new home in FL, I accepted the offer to help cook dinner. Mom lives across the street from a supermarket, but she insists we drive 10 miles away, across 4 towns to this Shoprite. Why?Is it the sheer size and vast availability of products? Can it be the freshness and quality of its produce? Perhaps the reason she passes over two other Shoprites is because of the professionalism and efficiency of its staff...I think its all of them and more.During our visit we filled TWO shopping carts with stuff, we stopped several employees to ask for help and were treated with courtesy and respect, not just by floor members but especially by my cashier, Crystal, she was amazing.I missed my mom so much so this was such a good way to bond and spend time with her. Thank you Shoprite of Lyndhurst.

They have consistently the lowest prices. I also like that even during this pandemic Ive never had to be more than the fourth person in line waiting. They have as many registers open as necessary. And now theyve put in the self-service ones, which I try to avoid to save peoples jobs.The customer service reps are excellent. And theyve even called me when a certain item has come in that Ive been waiting for.

Been going to store for years.Good sore .They have good food and nice people at kitchen.Going there you might want to go in back way .There always working on road and this year lyndhurst police are pulling everybody over for any reason they can come up with so watch out.

Debbie in the floral department was so nice and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me pick and buy the perfect flowers for my daughter in laws bridal shower. Thanks to her everyone loved the floral arraignment I made. I couldnt have done it without Debbies help. She is a great person and employee. I will definitely buy more flowers in the future.

I cannot say how courteous the staff was between the hrs of 2p4p. Their were especially 2- 3 of your employees that deserve 5 stars and a raise. I am unable to walk without assisting devices however these 3 individuals at different times, totally stopped what they were working just to help me.It has been a while since I shopped at your Lyndhurst store but those employees madea positive experience especially since I have not been doing my own shopping since March. Attempting to return to my prior selfHas become a long & difficult time.If only these 2 individuals (1 male & 1 female) would precept new hires it would not only be a simpler day for shopping but would help bring some comfort to many seniors that are much older then 66Extending my appreciation to those employees.

I shop here all the time and the only issue I have with the store is the Sushi Bar. They replaced the staff that only makes limited types of sushi roll and the flavor just isnt as good. One of my favorite ingredients used to be eel and they removed that completely. Also the prices have increased by 25% to 50% for a lesser item.

Its not so crowdy, you can find whatever you need, there is not parking problem, it has quality variable products.Customer service is kind, workers helpful and you can also find self check-out.

Nice well lite store. Aisles are wide to shop. The store has a good open feel about. The restroom is clean and easy to access. They usually have sale items in stock. Getting a raincheck is easy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It carries a good selection of ethnic foods. It has a great spot to sit and eat or have a coffee. The hot food case carries a nice variety of foods. The delis prepared food has a good amount of choices. It carries a varied assortment of cold cuts to choose from. The bakery has many different breads, rolls and bagels to choose from. It has a good assortment of cakes and pies. The fish department carries a nice variety of choices. The meat department has a wide range to choose from. Dairy, frozen and grocery usually has everything in stock. They all have a diverse selection to choose from. Overall, its a great store for a small or large shopping trip. Its large, well lite and clean.

I have been coming to this store for 5 years, and have as of the past two years avoided it due to the pricing.Pros: Good selection, large store.Cons: Overpriced items. Seriously, up to $0.50 - $2.00 markup on things like paper towels, toilet paper, veggies, fruits, meats and milk, etc. I would buy my dry and paper goods elsewhere due to this excessive markup.

I do not like shopping at this store. Everyone is rude. A guest looked right at me, moved his cart to block me, and made me go a different way. And I asked an employee where something was in the store, first she ignored me and then rudely asked me follow-up questions. They made checking out so easy. This I really like.

I want to update how it is shopping during this COVID-19 PHANDEMIC. I love shopping here my favorite super market! Excellent prices and good items. I gave a four not a five because the social distancing needs to be enforced more. I was at the check out isle where you do it yourself. The one closet to the exit. U hadent finished scanning my items when another customer literally stood behind me and no one said anything to her to not stand behind me 1 foot away. I didnt say anything to her just to prevent arguments. But its something that needs to be paid more attention too. The virus is still out there and we need to feel safe.

I recently switched out my Kearny ShopRite for the Lyndhurst ShopRite for many reasons. This ShopRite is big, clean and well organized. Includes a nice flower shop with lots to choose from. I can move around without actually feeling like I’m bumping carts. I do like that they have a wider selection of organic produce. I’ve encountered quite a few friendly employees. Parking is a little tight though.The outside lines during COVID season can get quite long but they do try to get you in there within a reasonable amount of time.

Very spacious ShopRite. The donuts did not look as good as the ones at the Bloomfield,NJ location.The kids running the self checkout was very helpful. They offered to bag our grocery. Very nice if them. I didnt trust them so I bagged them myself.The ShopRite also has a ShopRite liquor but not connected. Worth going to complete special event dinners.
