Great place. My go to pizza place. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good pizza, good food, great cheese burgers too! Very convenient. I love that theyre open late so I can pick up something to eat after getting out of work. I recommend them to anyone.

From 0-10 I give it a 8.0 for the town of Lyndhurst. It is pretty good and won’t disappoint. I believe you have to order through the slice app. But they’re pretty quick.

Thin pizza with the perfect amount of sauce and the cheese was cooked just right. Im always surprised by the quality of pizza in this area. Just when I thought I found the best, I find something even better! If you like thin crust and a narrow crust rim around the edge, this is the one. Delicious.

There are so many pizza places in the area, but A-1 tops them all. The variety of their menu, the freshness of their food, the superb taste, and the wonderful service all spells GREAT.I always ask for my pizza crispy, and it comes to me perfect every time!!

I have been eating here for years. The food is fantastic. It truly does not matter what you get as it is literally all good. Staff there is warm and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here in the 5+ years we’ve been ordering.

The favorite family’s chicken Parm Pie in town. I was never a fan of chicken pies but when I first tried it I changed my mind! 😋 I recommend it and their Greek salad was good too. Very clean. Always busy. They do delivery and accept credit cards.

Good pizza. Wide selection of Italian dishes. Leftover pizza reheated in a toaster oven is particularly good.

Worst Pizzeria in the entire tri-state area ! Dont waste your money here. Normally I dont review places but this has to be worst experience I had. Since it is late at night, I only ordered a caesar grilled chicken salad. The chicken had no taste and it seen heated on a microwave since some parts off the chicken was cold. I was around the block when I ordered it and it took me less than 10 minutes to pick it up from the time I ordered it Another thing is the dressing was not the best. The best part was the fresh lettuce but that it. The only reason I decided to try this place was because of the reviews but they seem fake or over exaggerated. I dont recommend this location at all. Save your time and money.

This place is my preferable site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. Whenever I I need a good dinner, this is the place that comes immediately to my head. superb and diverse food and a rich cuisine.well mannered team, and nice mood. And very important, the cost is reasonable. I sent my friends to this place with great pleasure.

Moved to the neighborhood from New York and most New York pizza places sell beef patty’s. I asked the man behind the counter if they had any and his response was “do we look Jamaican?” I walked out with my slice and threw it in the trash

Delicious food! Someone personally should be answering the phone. Now you have grub hub answering. The lady on the other line didnt know that its 8.99 for pick up only Monday, Tues, and Wednesday. Please change it back. Phone system sucks. But the food is always delicious.

Pizza is decent however based on the fact that I’m not from jersey/New York my expectations were high. Since this was a pizza from jersey could have been better. I’m from Detroit and pizza places around my house have better Thin crust pizza but like I said it wasn’t bad I just had real high expectations of east coast pizza

Ordered a pizza for pickup. When I got there the two guys behind the counter making the pizzas did not have masks on...not even around their necks where they could at least say, “we just needed a quick break from the mask.” No, instead what he said was, “You come back here in this heat for 1 hour with a mask and see how it feels.” I work in a major hospital that at one point was the epicenter for COVID-19 patients in NJ so don’t tell me about how your flimsy surgical mask is too hot to keep on while working when I had to dress head to toe in multiple layers of PPE...d**chebag.

We just ordered the Margherita pizza from A1 Pizza on Ridge Rd in Lyndhurst, NJ as part of my son’s birthday celebration. We all thought it was the absolute BEST Margherita pizza ever, and as former New Yorkers, we are used to a variety of New York City’s finest pizza selections. The crust was the perfect texture of thin and crisp. The sauce was richly seasoned just right, and it was obvious that the ingredients were fresh. I rarely leave reviews, but this one is well deserved!!

Super friendly staff. Love the pizza and the Diablo burger. Pizza crust is awesome. They bake it on a special screen that makes it just a little crispy. Dough is amazing.

The place takes forever, if you go in for pickup they ignore you for what seems like forever before they tend to you. The food is amateur at best, the mozzarella sticks are garbage and I dont think they are real cheese. The pizza is good, depending on who makes it. Sometimes they dont cook it long enough. The only reason they get my business is because they are open late. But they honestly need improvement in customer service. The Garlic knots are good but very small they were very disappointing. They are also out of them 90% of the time I order. Like are you out of pizza dough too?! Seriously if they made their quality better and werent greedy they would make much better business. But its only 2 stars for sure. I gave them 10+ chances.

Had an awesome dinner here today! Havent been here in years since living nearby... and just so happen to be here visiting from out of town. Looked forward to have old times on my taste buds and all memories came back being here. So happy that A-1 Pizza still around and doing well :-).

Food is usually pretty good. Chicken wings are usually pretty sad (small wings with broken bones). But theyre open late and if you need it its an option. We got an attitude from whoever took our order over the phone more than once so weve tried to avoid ordering from here

Living in Lyndhurst means that you have been to this place more than once. They have been around since I moved here and have been the default pizza place for most of us residents. Their pizza, pasta, calamari, etc. are all very good. The staff are great - very friendly. I haven’t tried dining in (always ordered for pick up) and so far, everybody (young and old) that I served their food with, I haven’t heard a single complain and enjoyed.

Im glad A1 replaced La Bella Vita years back. Those guys were very rude and disrespectful. A1 is fast and the people there are very nice. They make the best pizza with perfect proportion of cheese and sauce. Crust always crispy. and 8.99 pies mon-wed!

I found them conveniently located, very good food as well as excellent service. One of the items I order (usually once a week) are their Chicken Wings & found absolutely NOTHING WRONG with them.

I have eaten/ordered here on multiple occasions and the experience has always been great. Always a friendly staff with ample room to dine in. The delivery time is always quick whether ordering by phone or through grub hub and the food is incredible. One of my faves is the chicken francese sandwich. Id recommend anyone to this family owned business.

I had previously been loyal customer of a local pizza parlor that had been in business since 1959. However, that business was sold, and the quality plummeted.My sons (having a long association with A-1 - where they could get pizzas late into the night) recommended I switch to A-1.So glad I did.Seriously good pizza....and all the rest too. Whoever makes their gravy (my Mother-in-Law never called it sauce!) totally knows their stuff!

Pre-pandemic they had great hours (delivery up until 2am on the weekends). This place is always busy (a good sign), but fast. Been ordering from here for 5+ years. Favorites include the Pasta a Liliana, Disco Fries, Pepperoni Roll, Fried Calamari, and Chicken Parm Sandwiches. Great people making great pizza.Edit: also Broccoli Rabe, Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Tenders, etc... arguably the best Italian I’ve had between Chicago to New York.When we lived down the street, we would shamefully order from here 4+nights a week. Now we drive from an hour away on the weekends. It’s THAT good.

My daughter (who is almost 10 ) called for take out, wanted 2 cheese pies, but first asked if there was any specials for that day . The guy answered angrily NO We dont have any, and he was kind of in a rush, get our order and hanging up. (We later checked on a menu they recently slip under my door, THERE ARE SPECIALS) .When we got there, NOTHING was ready, and the guy said noone had made any order .I TOLD HIM IF YOU WOULD LISTEN TO US, INSTEAD OF GIVING US A BAD ATTITUDE YOU WOULDVE GOT MY ORDER .He apologized, but really, I dont get why some people are working so upset. It is not our fault he may dislike his job, or may have had a bad day.

Margarita pie on a Thursday night, must be the chef or something sprinkling his love. Ive gotten this pie on any other day beside Thursday and is not the same....If you like saucy pizza ask for extra sauce

Staff was courteous and helpful when ordering and picking up. Pizza is a little pricier than your normal chain pizza but the flavor and crust is well worth it.

DO NOT ORDER A1 THROUGH GRUBHUB. A1 does NOT process orders when received. Was charged immediately for the order and when I called the restaurant after waiting 90 minutes, the owner very flippantly stated that he didnt print the order. He honestly could care less. Never again.
