Redoing my review as I’ve been here twice now and today was honestly the best experience I’ve had at a retro gaming store. We have some passionate owners around here and some not so passionate ones (ahem Salem)Mr J takes pride in his store. I see the passion that has followed him on this journey to provide retro games to fellow collectors like me and at the same time, build up excellent customer relations. This is how you run a local business. Him and his sister were both a pleasure to deal with. So warm and friendly. It felt like I was at a friends house.I did a trade in with a retro console I was ready to part ways with. He took his time and we came to an extremely fair deal. He will take care of you folks. Seriously, do trade ins here, get some of the gems he puts on display, let’s keep this alive. Retro gaming is becoming more and more niche by the days. Prices going up on Scam EBay and other stores jacking things up to a point where no one can afford them. Not here. I am extremely hopeful of the future of this store.Wow, what an experience.

A friend and I came in really liked this store. Very good pricing on really old games and consoles. The owner is really nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend a visit if you’re retro game hunting!

Went here yesterday for a Smash Ultimate tournament and had a great time. Staff was nice and the people there were friendly. Theyll be having weeklies so if you enjoy playing Smash I would recommend coming here. In terms of the store they had a great selection of retro games and consoles for great prices. Im not the biggest collector myself but if theres every anything that I need I would definitely buy it here. Not sure if they sell new releases but even if they dont it does not take a lot away from their selection. Not many people have heard of this store and it deserves more credit. The owner is definitely trying hard and it shows.

Jay was extremely friendly and professional. He demonstrated the console worked in the store and made sure all the functioning equipment was included. He even threw in a free game and indicated the product could be returned if something was wrong within 30-45 days. Products were reasonably priced for people looking to play older games. Definitely will shop here again.

My 7 year old wanted a 3DS console for his birthday & I was apprehensive about paying $150+ online for a used one. My husband found this place online & we drove from Boston to purchase. The owner was very kind. He already had it charged up & even included a game & 2 stylus pens with it. Cost me under $100 & my son is so happy. We didnt look around much but noticed that the store was very well organized & stocked. I had a very positive experience here & would return or recommend this store. Definitely a hidden gem.

All I will say is that I got a real, working copy of Pokemon Emerald with a new clock battery for 60 bucks. 60. Bucks. Selection was great, people are extremely nice and just all-in-all a fantastic place to go for retro video game shopping.

This gem of a place was recommended to me by a friend while I was looking for a PS5. I got a new PS5 for retail price ( $519) when they were selling online for $1000+. Jay, the owner is a great guy and went the extra mile to take care of me. AND I bought an AWESOME NES package! Best selection for vintage gaming anywhere!!!

Great store, lots of stuff and great prices, the owner was there and was nice and friendly and he even let me bring my puppy inside. Gave me a great deal on everything I bought and even threw in a freebie for buying a lot. I will be coming back for sure

Awesome store! Just picked up an N64 with some classic games! This store has everything from the oldies to the new stuff. Super Nintendo, sega, the new stuff and everything in between. If your looking for something specific just give them a call. Jay’s always awesome about answering and if he call leave a message he get back to you ASAP.Systems, games and action figures they have a bunch!!

Set a price over an item, asked to not include a couple things to lower the price as I didn’t need them. Go there and try to charge me for every item regardless. Took my debit card and after I declined the offer, did not return my debit card until I myself had to go back and get it back. Don’t go here

Hands down the best game shop Ive been to, Ive been going to this shop for years. Always a great time when I go. Great selection of everything, love the set up, feels comfortable and doesnt look cluttered like other shops ive been to. Owner is great!!! 5 stars from me for sure! Ill be going back for sure.

Its a really cool place to go if you want to either play some games you havent played before or if youre feeling nostalgic for those games you liked playing as a kid.This place gave me a chance to play certain games again or get into games that I havent played before. Havent played a Metroid game before and I bought at least 5 games from there.Every visit there is always fun. Also since nearby GameStops are basically gone and GameStop doesnt really sell old games anymore, this is Id say the better place to buy games.Never really talked to people about video games in person because I didnt really have friends that played any while growing up, but here I feel very comfortable with talking about games.Definitely would go back and check if there are any games added that I remember playing or if theres another Metroid game I havent played yet.

Definitely my type of store! This store has ALL video games and consoles from old to new generations. The selection is incredible. The staff is also great and super knowledgeable. I’ve been a customer for a long time and I don’t go anywhere else. It’s affordable, convenient and it feels like going to a friend’s house instead of a store. Highly recommend.

Owner is a cool dude, and my good friend works with him for repairs. Best gaming unit repair person you can find around here, hands down. Prices are good and can get pretty good deals if you wanna work something out. Usually lots of good stock on old and classic games too. Not a bad location isnt hard to get to. So far got at least two old gen consoles and lots of classic games from here. And if anything ever breaks or stops working you can bring it back no problem.

First visit and can honestly say I was not disappointed. If we talking about blast from the past games, selection, and great customer service this is your spot. Hoping the staff much success heading into 2021!

Awesome retro video game store. Second chance has a wide variety of games and consoles at fair prices. When you trade in games or consoles the owner gives you a better price than GameStop. I highly recommend this store for all gamers. Great Customer service.

Place is really cool makes you feel like youre a friend going to visit him. You can talk about anything you will be all good.

Owners a nice guy and very flexible to work with. Sometimes he doesn’t have what you want but he’ll look oh for it and keep you in mind.Sometimes he’ll give attitude to friends and regulars but it’s always in a joking manner. It really makes it a chill stores where you never feel pressured to ask for anything or worry about asking for a deal. I’ve dealt with the owner for a few years now and it’s probably my favorite store in the north shore area.He may not have the rarest games all the time like some stores but if you ask him to look out for something, he’ll go above and beyond looking for it. He’s got the best deals around and is easy to work with.

The owner is very friendly and not pushy with any sales or continuously asking if you need help. Answered all questions honestly and definitely has some gems in store. I walked in to visit and bought $70 worth of games! One of them even had a broken case and he changed it for me!!! This guy deserves business going beyond for his customers.

Jay is a really nice dude. There are so many games for different consoles. The location is a bit weird but it’s a really nice place! I really recommend!

Found out about this place through FB marketplace. Saw that it was local and decided to go. Jay was incredibly friendly and super knowledgeable. Normally in shops like this I feel a little awkward, just browsing in silence while being watched. I felt welcomed and comfortable while in here. Had a great chat with Jay and he gave my a great deal on a 3DS XL with a Zelda game. Anything less than 5 stars would be criminal!

Went there on a day I didn’t know they were closed and Jay was there putting some stuff on the store and he happily let me go in and browse while we chatted for a bit! Bought two games right then and came back the next week to buy two more. Wonderful business and will be back!
