If you want a professional business with reasonable pricing and knowledgeable employees, I recommend making the drive to Macon and going to Crank & Charge, (who will completely rebuild an alternator for $85, including acid treat and paint the externals.) If you want a disorganized, unprofessional and dishonest business that overcharges you for subpar work ($145 for an alternator rebuild,) go with these guys. I was told a repair on my alternator ($80) would include replacing bad bearings. Took it home and installed it and the bearings had not been replaced. I was then told multiple times that it wasnt put on the tag to replace bearings, so he didnt do it. (Poor communication between technicians.) I was told if I brought it back in he would put new bearings in it for me. After speaking to him twice on the phone and my wife going in person to drop it off, I came to pick it up. I was then told it would be an additional $30 for the bearings. When I stated that I was told it would be done for the third time, he called over the person I originally spoke to, who then proceeded to call me a liar. Ive been to many automotive repair shops of various kinds, and this has by far been the worst experience Ive ever had. A failure of communication is the business owners fault, not the customers.
These guys are good and very fast and dependable I have been going to them for years they have rebuilt my alternator and my starter where else can I go and get a low price theyre the best love you guys
Fast and inexpensive. I have an alternator that I purchased new about 1.5 years ago that had a failing voltage regulator. They tested it and said it tested fine but they replaced the regulator as requested because the failure would only occur when the engine and engine compartment was hot and I assume they couldnt recreate the conditions in the engine compartment on a bench. Everything works great now.
There are only a handful of Auto Electrical repair shops left in this area and C&S gets my vote. I spoke with Terry over the phone and he was both professional and courteous. They solved the problem, rebuilt the alternator and all at a very fair and reasonable price without question or hesitation. I will go to them as long as the shop is in business and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a quality repair. They are not in the business just to make money but because they care and love what they do - and it shows. Thanks, Terry and thank goodness for C&S.!
They have rebuilt starters & alternators on several occasions for me and I am very pleased with the quality of work and price.
Yes, Excellent service, highly recommended
Very pleased with the professionalism, performance and pricing. Terry restored my 1963 original #s matching corvette alternator in record time. I was contacted within 2 hours after leaving stating it was ready. The appearance was show quality and the pricing more than reasonable. I now have a go to shop for all my classis cars.
They are the best hands down. I hope they can stay open for the next 100 years. We need more places like this one. New starters and alternators are too high.
Tested and fixed my BMW alternator while i waited! 20 min in and out. And way cheaper than anyone else.
I needed my alternator rebuilt for my work truck and was lucky to find this company. They did a great job for a very reasonable price and they were even nice people, hard to find these days. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again and recommend them to others.
Nice helpful and reasonably priced for upgrading, rebuilding, or selling you an altenator or starter.

I found these guys and with a walk-in they had the original working with replacement parts within about 20min...and a bill for $50.00! The replacement was $700.00 through Bass Pro Shops! Needless to say I left happy. I WILL RECOMMEND THESE GUYS EVERY CHANCE I GET!!!

Best kept secret in Mableton. Why buy a new starter when they can rebuild your broken one for half the price
Great automotive electricians, but extremely dishonest customer service and downright violent attitudes will make you hope your starter and alternator work so you can speed away from this place! We have taken thousands of dollars in vintage automotive electronics to C&S over the course of 8 years and a twenty dollar starter switch has cost them our future business, and I encourage others to stay away from this business disaster. We restore military vehicles from the 40’s as well as vintage Model T’s. Our project was a 43’ Chevy G506 1.5 ton truck. One week prior Leo repaired our generator and diagnosed the destroyed starter and faulty regulator. We purchased a remanufactured starter from NAPA in Douglasville, which I have nothing but praise for after this situation. The first starter was dead on arrival and so was the second. Needing to move our project along the manager at NAPA told us he has an account at C&S, and we could take it there and whatever needed to be done he would cover. Excellent! We took it up to C&S and were greeted by Terry who assured us he “dealt with the manager at NAPA all the time” and “he would bill them for the repair” Feeling assured our problems would be solved Terry diagnosed the foot starter switch as the problem, ordered a new one, and we left. We received a call the next day “our starter was ready” We arrived today to pick it up and Leo, Terry, and another employee came up to the counter to take shots at the cheap starter switch and tell us that was the problem. So we asked “And you guys settled up with NAPA?” The response was that Terry made a beeline for the back, the other guy started off behind a shelf, and Leo said “Why would I do that?” Well because that’s what Terry assured us would happen. He then acted like NAPA had no account and he had no way to do that so we would have to pay. Okay, fine. Reluctantly we asked over to the computer and he asked what kind of card we had and to just “Stick your card in.” No amount, no total, just stick our card in while a magic repair number gets made up in his brain. Upon asking what the total was, Leo acted dumbfounded. “What? Why?” I responded “Because we didn’t expect a bill and now we need to pay you but I’m not putting my card in a machine before I hear what that number is. That’s common customer service.” That released something I have NEVER witnessed from any business employee in my life. “I don’t need your *expl*. After all I’ve done for you! Don’t you *expl* treat me like *expl* I’ll take that *expl* switch off right now and y’all can go fight with NAPA.” To which I mumbled, “Okay...” He continued to yell at us while going back to where Terry was hiding accusing us of yelling at him although I was not the profanity-laced maniac in the building. Upon discussion with Terry, who would not come back up to the counter to look us in the eye, he denied telling us anything about billing or dealing with NAPA. Continuing his ranting on the way back up, Leo informed us the repair was twenty dollars and if we wanted to call NAPA and sort it out we could but he wasn’t going to. The repair was 21.20 after sales tax. Now not trusting what would happen to our credit card information we paid cash and left. Already planning on not returning we headed to NAPA where they settled the bill with us and said it would’ve been easier if they billed them from their end as C&S has their store card on file. So after leaving in disgust now we found out they lied about not dealing with NAPA or even knowing how to bill them. Absolute dishonesty and the willingness to lose a long time customer over a twenty dollar problem that wasn’t even their fault. I can’t say their automotive knowledge isn’t up to par but their customer service is abysmal and their attitude needs an adjustment and quickly. Will be shipping all future business to Walker Auto Electric in Carrollton. I could care less if they do a better job as long as they know how to treat paying customers.
Hard to find an honest mechanic these days! These folks are honest and know what theyre doing!
