I normally don’t write reviews. But I haven’t ever been in this game stop. I was in there for 20 minutes and I didn’t even get a hello or any sign of help. Most of the time the two working were on boxing and putting labels or stickers on products. I took my couple hundred dollars and went to target.

The manager at this location needs a serious attitudeaHe is quite argumentive and condescending.He would rather prove his intelligence to you than offer any helpful assistance.Friendly advice, just stay away from Tim and his childish behavior.

The girl that helped me out there was really friendly and very helpful. They also have great prices and a large selection of products to choose from. I highly recommend GameStop if you are looking for video games.

I have so many things to say about this GameStop, mostly about the manager. Whenever I shop when he is there, I feel so uncomfortable from his presence. Hes arrogant and only cares about sales than customer service. I know that sales are important to business, but the way he talks to customers seem so counter intuitive. The last ever time I went in, I made an online pickup. When the process was over, he tossed the game (didnt ask if I wanted it in a bag) then turned away. If any other employee was there I would have no problem. Everyone else is nice and helpful. Unfortunately, thats not going to keep me and Im going out of my way to the Rockford store.

The young lady greeted me immediately upon entering the store with alot of enthusiasm and a big smile. She showed me around the store and answered all my questions. Plus she gave suggestions which helped me to make the best choice of items I wanted to buy. She also went to the back because she thought she might have a 2nd model of one of the items I wanted. And she was correct, thats the one I bought. I will make the trip to the Machesney Park store instead of my local Beloit store from now on.

Service is very slow. They also had the nerve to contact me after my husband returned a pre-owned product to accuse me of not including all the pieces that it came with. Apparently, there is an issue with quality control because I returned all the pieces that were in the box when I purchased it. A simple inventory list on the box would remedy the issue. I will NEVER return to this location.

Very nice staff when shopping, but once youre decisions are made, they tend to be in a rush to get you signed up for things you dont need, and if you dont agree to the offers, they typically charge the mood of their services.

I prefer locally owned stores more but this Gamestop staff is very friendly and pretty knowledgeable. They recommend games but always ask what my game interests are first.

I do everything in my power to avoid this particular game stop. The employees are rude and elitist...especially for people that dont attempt to do a good job and make minimum wage. They will regularly try and charge full price for games that are on sale so that they can re-ring the purchase and pocket the extra cash. Be prepared to have to prove to them that items are on sale at the gamestop website, otherwise they will overcharge you. They will also try and avoid giving you bonuses discounts when you trade in games. Ive never come across this kind of treatment at the two gamestops on east state street. Avoid this location at all costs!!!
