Stephanie cut my hair today and she did a fabulous job! We went from shoulder length to an undercut pixie! She listened to my desired outcome and executed it perfectly. They dont always have in stock the items that you are looking for at the store on 173. Its a hit or miss on the products there.

No customer service. Three people by check outs, no one in line. No floor presents

The customer service Terra has was amazing! Ive been hunting at all the hair/makeup shops I can find for a specific brush. Sadly, Ulta also doesnt carry it- but Terra helped me find where to order it! Im so stunned by this degree of customer service and expertise that Im 100% coming to Ulta for anything else I need. Made me a loyal customer for sure

Went in to grab some travel size hair products for my upcoming flight. Found everything ok then went to check out and the lady who cashed me out slipped a sample Burberry fragrance into my bag. It smelled sooo good and it was absolutely perfect to pack in my extremely small tsa liquid bag! Thanks so much for doing that! All staff is friendly and extremely helpful. All my visits have been great! Thanks for makong my trip sooo much easier!

I was very impressed with my last visit! Ashley was so helpful I came in and I needed to find a foundation that would match my skin and I’ve been having problems matching it. I told her I was going to be doing events As Disney Queen Elsa and having a lot of pictures taken so she said that the two products did not have any photo flashback. I did some photos the other day and my face looked flawless! I also told her that I had psoriasis and she mentioned that her daughter had psoriasis also so she recommended the first aid to me and it has worked out perfectly. The concealer and foundation that she color matched on me and applied was perfect and I have nothing but great things to say about all the products ! Please thank her for helping Me ! I have never had such an amazing service at any of the Ulta stores and I’ve been to quite a few different ones!

They do not keep to appointment times and actually have the audacity to ask you to reschedule once you’re already there. The stylists are a joke and they are always out of products. You’re better off going somewhere else.UPDATE, 12/03/19: I have contacted Ulta. They have twice told me that someone would get back to me and I have yet to hear anything. They do not care AT ALL.

I got a new prestige 20% off coupon and it wouldn’t load on my phone the day I bought my purchase. So an associate told me to come in another time. My mother did a nice favor for me goes use return it and use the coupon. I bought products I didn’t even need but due to the 20% off I bought 3 items. The marketing strategy behind a coupon is to do this exactly and it always works for me so I’m happy to spend my money at Ulta. Jessica, the cashier scolded my mother - a 19 year old to a 45 year old for asking to return and re-buy with the coupon. First is doesn’t say you can’t do that on the coupon and I bought the items the day prior... In front of my mom she told another associate that she wouldn’t allow it. The assistant manager said kindly it wouldn’t be a problem which is how you treat customers. Then Jessica proceeded to tell her “not make it a habit.” My mother is a polite woman and guess what the customer is always right. I can go take my money to Sephora, Macys, and Target for my cologne and all beauty, hair and make-up care. Not happy with this location and I hope losing a loyal customer/make-up artist was worth the $3.50 I received back. Thanks!

I wish they had price scanners, its sometimes difficult to find prices on things. They could also stand to better define the line up area for the cash registers. Otherwise, fun to shop, they have most everything, good rewards program.

I went to pick up an online order and a day later I noticed there was a sale on. When I picked up the item I asked if I could get the sale price. The CS Rep said that we would have to return it to get the sale price. He didnt offer to help me out. I then went to the counter and he said that I had to wait until it was uploaded into my rewards to get the discount. It takes a day or so. I said I bought it Tuesday (this was Friday). I paid for it why wouldnt it be in my rewards. These CS Reps just didnt want to help. I will be going to another Ulta beauty store. Never again this store. Not helpful at all.

I have to give props to all the employees at the Ulta on 173 in Machesney Park. They are always so helpful when I go in and have no idea what I should get. They really take the time to evaluate my skin tone and have always helped find just the right time. Thanks from someone who has no idea how to wear makeup! 😊

My first and last visit... I arrived at 12:04pm and left at 12:31pm. During that time, not (1) associate asked me for help. I was seeking some hair color, didnt find what I was looking for. I am about due to replace my makeup, spent $41 and donated $5 to the charity at check out. I guess if I dressed nicer I probably wouldve got assistance and spent much more. Ill be sure to let my friends know rock stars apparently arent welcome at Ulta Beauty..

Great customer service and workers are very good with knowing there products. I was very impressed with customer service. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

The only reason I go here is that its closer to me than the Rockford Store. I wont come back either for a couple of reasons. They never have what I need and the service today was terrible. I could hear the staff talking amongst themselves but had to search them out, wait, wait and then interrupt them to ask for assistance. As far as never having what I need, they tell me I may still be able to get what I need online. Blah, Blah, Blah...

I was happy with this location. Everything was clean, I was offered help a couple times but never hounded, and found everything I needed.

Great place to go for your Grooming concerns ( YES, I said Grooming, Im a man, lol ) the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, trust them, theyll steer you in the right direction FOR ALL your needs 👍

This sort of place is intimidating to someone like me, who doesnt understand why you need shampoo and conditioner when the two can be sold together in one bottle. Fortunately the staff is very engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are about what you would expect, no more and no less.

I go there to get makeup for my wife and daughter. The staff is really helpful to me. I bring in a picture of what I need and they go get it.

My wife received an email from Ultra Beauty for a free gift for her birthday.

Preferred over Sephora any day. Prices are not as bad as one might think. They carry some drug store makeup, skin care lines and shampoos at good prices.

Sarah is amazing with my eyebrows, I get them tinted and waxed at the brow bar and I barely need to fill them in weeks after makes getting ready that much easier and without makeup I still feel put together.

Very disappointed in this store. Went in there with the intention of buying quite a few items, but wanted an expert opinion on some things. Unfortunately, the employees working tonight were more interested in mingling amongst each other than helping customers in the store. 4-5 of them were all grouped together, hanging out and not once welcomed us into the store or asked us if we needed help finding anything. Needless to say, I dropped all my stuff and walked out. That’s not how you treat customers. You obviously didn’t want our business or anyone else’s for that matter.

The staff is very friendly and helpful at this location. But today, I purchased a NYX Lip Lingerie that appears to be previously used and repackaged because, the side of the tube appears to have been swiped with the aplicator. If that is the case, that is just poor business

I am very disappointed and frustrated how my hair turned out. I went to get blonde highlights and my hair turned out orange. I was there for 4 hours and the end result was not pretty. I told the girl I didn’t expect this color and she said well if you want it lighter you will have to pay more so she tried to fix it with more toner and still the same so I just left. I had to go home to my kids since I spent 4 hours at that salon. I came home and washed it and it looked worse. I was literally in tears. Who wants their hair orange???The next day I called and said I can’t leave for work like this, my hair has different colors, including orange. I asked to get my money back, to dye my hair the same color as it was or to try to lighten it. The manager said all they can do is put another toner in, hoping for orange to disappear temporarily. After 20 washes I will be able to see the orange still. This is truly the worst experience I have had. The girl that did my hair said “well this is what happends when you want to go from dark to blonde”. Very unprofessional place and Staff. I will never step another foot in ULTA again!!!!! It cost me a lot of money and my hair.

I usually have an easy going time when I visit this Ulta, except for 5/12. I went in searching for an essence brand mascara and one of the workers told me that they didnt have any at that location. I showed her a picture and everything. I obviously believed her. She suggested a Lancome mascara, which I also use, but I wasnt looking into buying something that expensive that day. So, I was on my way out and I did a little browsing and saw the EXACT mascara I showed her in the picture. I get that stores try to sell higher and products, but they shouldnt lie or have someone working there that does not know what their store carries. Dissapointing
