I went to this Auto center to buy 4 sets of tires. They didn’t have my size but they told me they are going to order for me if buy it. They told me that they will deliver here 2 to 7 days. I did pay it but no body called me yet. Its been almost 3 weeks. Snow ❄️ is here and No tires. Too sad. I wish I would not go here. Called customer service 4 times. Too sad😞 I will see when they call to install the tires. Wait, wait and wait.
I have been to Walmart Auto in East Madison twice now. Both times with absolutely terrible service. The main service desk guy, Dave, is incredibly inefficient. Like, incredibly. The way the auto center is run is also terrible. They do take appointments ahead of time, although not sure for what purpose. Day of they tell people its first come first serve and dont give you any time estimate. I assure you its upward of 4+ hours. I had an APPOINTMENT today at 8am. I got there at 750 with one person at the desk with Dave and two other people in front of me. I finally got to the desk at 820 and was sent on my way to the waiting room at 830. When I called to make the appointment a WEEK before hand, I asked how long it would take and a woman said about an hour. Here it was 830 and I was finally checked in... I did some shopping and came back, noting my car still wasnt in. Waited and waited and waited. At just before 10am I went up and reminded Dave that my appointment was at 8am and I absolutely had to be out of there at 11. He talked to some of the service guys and did make sure to get my car in asap. I FINALLY was able to check out at 11am. 2 hours longer than I thought I would have to stay and 3 hours after my initial appointment. No apology, no compensation, nothing. I would NOT recommend ANYONE to go to this Walmart service center. Ever. I have no complaints about the service techs, just Dave and how this department is run. Ill save money elsewhere. Theres plenty of other places with wayyyyyyyyyy better service.
WARNING: Do not buy tires from Walmart. I bought tires from Walmart almost 3 years ago. They were Goodyear Viva 3. 6 year 60000 mile tire. Bought the Walmart warranty as well. Have them regularly rotated. I have 40000 Miles on them now. Woke up to a flat tire. Went in to have them checked rotated and balanced. Was told that they wont work on them because they dont have enough tread left on them. So they wont honor any warranty. See photos below. I see a lot of bad reviews, this place deserves everyone. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
If ZERO stars were an option, thats what rating I would give.The front counter staff worked at a very slow pace and didnt even acknowledge my presence for the 20-30 minutes I waited to be helped.When I came back to pick up my vehicle, I waited another 15 minutes before receiving acknowledgement, much less service. In that time, 3-4 mechanics walked right by myself, and the others waiting to be helped. I caught eye contact with the manager, who before looking up was dragging his feet, tossing a trinket in the air. Im sure he could could see the frustration in my demeanor. He approached and asked if he could do anything. I said that all I needed were my keys so I could leave. He proceeded to say (in a very rude tone) that he could not help me because he was supervising, and that I would have to wait until the ONE counter employee came back in. WHAT?! Im sure in the amount of time you spent dawdling around the room, tossing a gadget in the air, you could have taken care of a few people in line.If the MANAGER himself was rude, offered poor service and excuses, it will tell you a lot about how the rest of the staff is going to operate.NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN AND I WILL SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANY AND ALL WHO INQUIRE.
So, Im not entirely sure why there are so many negative reviews, its literally a Walmart Auto Center, if you want top of the line service you came to the wrong place. But, if youre just looking for a quick oil change or tire replacement or rotation, theyre perfect. I was helped by Lydia who was very kind and efficient. I was in and out in about an hour because there was someone in front of me. The service was great and I would absolutely recommend getting an oil change here. I would also reccomend calling ahead to check their availability so you dont have to worry about long wait times.
If I could rate zero I would. We had a flat tire, had to take a cab with the flat tire there just to be told they would not put the rim on a new tire I was purchasing from them because they didnt have time. I even offered to pay extra. This is something that doesnt take a whole lot of time and I wasnt asking to have the tire put back on my truck, I was just trying to get back to work. They could have been more accommodating seeing as how we were going to buy an almost $300 tire...yeah, we caught another cab to Tires Plus and they were extremely accommodating...and cheaper!!!
Went in when they opened (8am) to get 2 new tires. Waited 30 min to even speak to anyone, just to be told someone hadnt shown up for work and there wouldnt be another person coming in until 10. They dont schedule appointments, so I wont be returning. I understand people get sick, and dont wanna bash the employees in any way. At the end of the day though, I went in for new tires and was forced to leave without any.
Every time I’ve been here to get an oil change it takes way longer than it needs to. The most recent time I was told it would take 30-45 minutes for an oil change, which was fine. It took over 2 hours for an oil change. The only positive part of my experience was the man who checked me in. I think his name was David. He was very nice and had a lot of patience, but I definitely will never be using Walmart auto care center ever again.

I had my daughter take our van in for an oil change in the early afternoon and she was told it would be 40 minutes for an oil change. I ended up calling the auto center at 2:50pm because she had been waiting for nearly 2 hours. I was surprised that they were still working on it. They apparently were showing two new techs how to change the oil. That wasnt the issue. The main reason for this review is how I was treated on the phone. The young man I spoke to on the phone was very rude, short and belittling. He made it seem like it was a bother that I was inquiring about what is happening and why its taking so long. He offered no apology, but had rude smart aleck remarks. I would not recommend taking your vehicle to this auto center. I will for sure not allow Walmart to touch another one of our vehicles. It is my guess that his attitude shows in his work and he represents the disdane Walmart has for their customers, overall.
The place is so unorganized. The workers get distracted easy and it takes forever. I had an appointment at 2pm to change 2 front tires and I had already purchased the tires and brought them with me. Its now 3:30 and my car is still on the Jacks and nobody is working on it. Never will come to Walmart auto center again for anything. Horrible experience.
Blows my mind how understaffed this place is. And there is absolutley no sense of urgancy for the staffers that are here. I showed up at 7:15am to get 2 tires. After waiting in line for an hour just to speak to someone at the desk, I waited another 5 hours to finally have my tires installed. All said, the whole process took over 6 hours. I cannot understate how frustrating this whole experience was. The courtesy of at least letting me know an estimate of how long it would take seems very reasonable. Instead I was told We have no idea how long it will take. Absolutely do not recommend to bring your car here for any service. Its not worth the small cost savings.
I ended up not waiting because the guy at the counter was telling all the customers that it would be a 3 hour wait. Not only that he said they were closing after lunch and maybe opening back up at 1pm. I asked if they were opened tomorrow, which is Sunday and he said more than likely not because he was the only one scheduled to work. Where is management or the other workers? Thats sad to only have 1 or 2 workers. Walmart has to do better!
The best deal for a battery I needed. Had to wait a long time to be rung up but there was a line and the man at the register apologized for the wait. No problems.

I went there for oil change and tire but there was a guy named David has no experience about car and doesnt wanna help for anything that was mine worst Walmart experience and Also I got some another stuff for my car when I wanna pay at the register he told me my schedule done I cant do your checkout and he gone after that when I back to pay for tire and oil change He came back that was really annoying! But rest of the stuff was really helpful
Really happy!! I had 2 new tires and oil change this am. It took less than a hour. They even vacuumed it out. I recommend to anyone. But get there early cuz 1st come 1st service.. Very Good Service!
I worked with Chris and he was great. Knowing that they don’t take appointments you can expect to wait, but that’s how they work. If you want an appointment go somewhere else. I was added to the work line and came back when my car was finished. Chris was professional,courteous and helpful. Thanks Chris!
Unbelievably under staffed. Was there at 630 on a Saturday to have 4 new tires installed. 3rd in line, unfortunately, they didnt have any mechanics scheduled, so the 1st car was pulled in around 830. Great prices, horrible staffing.
Got there at 11 am and they were already not taking anymore customers for the day. I just needed one new tire and told them I would even put it on the car myself if they could just get me the tire. Second time something like this has happened to me here. Severely understaffed. I ended up going to firestone and it was only a few dollars more expensive - going straight there next time.
They fixed my tire in good time and reasonably priced. I had good service experience
Asked them to put on a tire for the rim I had brought in and was told it would be an hour and they will call when its done.ok,no problem!.4 hrs later,still no phone call.went in to see how much longer and waited 45 min. just for someone to come to the front desk only to find out they had just started to swap the tires when they seen me walk in.to top it off,they lost the center cap for my rim.the lady next to me told me she too had been waiting there for 3 hrs just to change one tire.customer service deserves zero stars.
I think that their customer service was great! I had been out in the sn9w storm and was actually driving to Walmart to buy salt for driveway when my tire popped off the rim. They close at 7 on Sundays and went in at 630 and they were so kind they got me a new tire and put it on the rim for me no problem and they were busy at the time. Thank you so much for making my horrible day great!
Good prices but the service sucks. I bought 4 tires and it took 3 hours to put those on. Than I had to come back the next day to retighten the lug nuts. Another hour for a 2 minute job.
Tires are cheap BUT Installs are the expensive part
I have never been to a place that is more rude! Josh the manager wouldnt even look at me when taking my information. He took my information and then asked for my keys and took a look at my car. He came back and said ya the battery is dead we will replace it. No time line given so I asked and he said about an hour. I figured Id ask BC they were having issues with a tire machine in the shop. So I shopped and came back a few minutes later and asked another worker David if I could just get the battery and tools and I will do it myself. He said dont worry about it he can handle it and that there was no reason for me to wait after the cars getting tire work done.Please remove Josh as manager and promote David he knows whats going on.Also I saw Josh trying to help a man with poor English. He was clearly asking about oil filters for his car and Josh was just tapping away at his phone giving him zero eye contact. He then asked what language he spoke and the man replied Arabic. I guess he was trying to translate things but another Walmart employee came over and helped the guy.Wont be back

Hour wait to rotate 4 tires and they did it wrong. I marked the tires so i would know. They put the front straight to the back and crossed the backs to the front. The exact opposite of what you should do for a rear wheel drive vehicle. Always check their work if you can because just like McDonalds they will likely do it wrong.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE EVER.. you would find more knowledgeable mechanics working at Dennys.. SHAME on Walmart for calling it service center

The place is always understaffed, but the guys work hard and get things done. Always polite, hard working, and fair. The staff gets five stars...but get four due to their scheduling issues.
Install the tires wrong and took out the bolts completely. They told me the cant fuc it and to take it somewhere else even though its them who rip off the bolt when putting in the new tires. I had to go some where else to have it fix. Will never go there again.

Waited for 3hours to get a tire I already had put on and there were only 4 customers . Employee s just standing around watching each other fix things. Told worker my tire was at 13 lbs and pumped it up to get there. He said there was nothing wrong with it!!!!!!!!! Dont go there!

Be prepared to wait. Youre not able to schedule an appointment and the only way to get work done is to wait at the counter for someone to come help you. Ive waited, more than once, for fifteen minutes before someone came to help me. No bell to ring. The auto Care center manager Josh just wanders around with no urgency to get his work done.I currently am getting my tires changed and I saw the vehicle get parked once done fifteen minutes ago and there have been no attempts to get me checked out or to call me telling me its done. Ive been waiting in their waiting room for the past hour.Im not sure, but it looked like the guy driving my car didnt know how to handle a manual transmission either.I dont think Ill come back here.
