I came to Hachi after getting a horrible haircut at a different, cheap barbershop nearby, hoping desperately that Hachi could fix it. I was not disappointed! They had me in the chair 20 minutes later, and I have honestly never gotten a better haircut anywhere else. Barber Jay was personable and obviously a professional in his field. I lived in Madison for 7 years and had my hair done pretty much everywhere. But Hachi is BY FAR the best place in Madison, both for cuts (men and women) and color. Johnnie is my go-to guy for a haircut and highlights, and he is a true artist! he is super detail oriented and I can always tell the difference when I leave there vs. anywhere else. I highly recommend hachi!!!

Akemi takes the time she needs to get my hair just right. I love the head massage that I get at the end of my haircut. I also love that she uses a straight edge blade on my neck and around my ears.

Great, fast, quality service! The woman that cut my hair had a lot of obvious skill! The haircut ended with a tiny shoulder rub and a hot towel wrap to wipe away hair!

So being this is my first time graduating from college as an undergrad I thought I would get a haircut to impress my grandparents who were flying here from California just to see their grandson graduate. Normally I have no problem with hachi but after my recent cut my mind has changed. Nicole and Johnny have given me the best haircut I have ever gotten so In no way is this directed towards them or anyone else. But I do have some complications with jay who recently cut my hair. So I get into the shop and he invited me into the seat in which I told him I wanted a 5 on the sides. He says it’s not cutting much so I go okay drop it down to a 4. Apparently he can only count to 3 because he just jumped straight to a 3 and shaved one side of my head off and after it was too late he asked me how it looked. Now at this point I had no choice but being the kind generous guy I am I had no choice but to say ok and just hope this guy could fix it with some scissors. This is where it gets interesting. Considering he is a hair cutting specialist you would assume he could make it look even but this guy is no Edward scissor hands. He cut the top of my head like the first time Edward scissor hands tried to shave. Didn’t even use scissors and just thinned my hair like a kardashian getting ready for her wedding dress. Anyways I get hope and I look in the mirror and the onlyThing I can thing I look like is pee wee Herman’s cousin who watched bad boys on repeat for 2 years straight. Anyways thanks to jay I’m gonna be a virgin for the next 4 years and next time I’m gonna just stick my hair in a paper shredder. Get a barber who can use scissors!!!
