Fairly good selection of foreign language grammars, dictionaries, and novels in foreign languages. Im mostly focused on Russian, German, Hindi, and Sanskrit. I did not find any Telugu books.

Our favorite book shop! Huge variety, friendly staff, we always find new and interesting things along with old familiar favorites. And Ive never found better prices!

Great bookstore. The arts section always has new arrivals with some great vintage books on artists. I always find something in the fiction section and not just the usual best sellers you find in many used bookstores. Owner is very knowledgeable and seems to always be around. Good prices.

This is a great book store. They are very clean and organized. They have a huge variety of different types of books to choose from. And if you cant find it I am sure they will do their best to find one for you someplace. I also have to say I am impressed with their prices.

The employees are always kind, and happy to help. I wont go anywhere else for used books. Especially since you can get almost any book ordered from their wholesaler for an amazing price!

A Madison staple that Ive stopped by for as long as I can remember. Theyve been in many different locations, and this one is still great. Theres lots of books, comics, records and so on to browse.

Always find something to buy and staff is always willing to help.

Love the Frugal Muse. Wide selection of books, movies and comics. A little patience and you can find something special.

I absolutely love this place. I never leave without something even if they dont have what Im looking for. If they dont have it, they can order it. I have discovered series of books I dont think I ever would have stumbled accross. They have a great selection of new books and old. By old I mean old books that you probably wont ever read but look fantastic sitting on a shelf or as an accent piece. I got a couple really cool looking old encyclopedia volumes and an old medical book.

Awesome! I HATE it when bookstore clerks hover behind me and ask continously if they can assist with finding a title. Its like...yo...Ill ask if I need help. This is not that store. Super friendly, cool and patient. Hard to find books at well, listed at reasonable prices. Ill be back.

Twisty aisles and old book smells, its what a used book store should be.

Selection is good and the prices are the best in the area, but I dont recommend selling your books here. Half Price Books offers better credit. When I sold some here, they offered me $9 for like fifteen books, some of which were new releases (within the last two months). I also stood at the counter for literally over ten minutes while one of the workers stood at the other end and ignored me until a different worker came over and helped. Overall a bad experience, but I still visit since you cant beat the random stuff you will find here. This was at the old location, but I doubt much has changed.

Went here because another book store was closed. Happy I came here instead! The man at the counter was soo helpful and friendly. The store is very nice and has an endless amount of titles. The man offered to order a book they didn’t have in stock for a discount. The books I did find were very affordable! Plus, as a bonus, it’s locally owned! Go here!

Updated review:I have since learned of Frugal Muses comments regarding the Safer At Home order put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which compared it to the cruel policies that put Japanese Americans in internment camps.Since learning this, I will no longer do business with Frugal Muse and encourage others to do the same.Previous Review:lovely little used book store. pretty good selection, and the staff will order any book for you at a reduced price. frugal muse is my go-to book store!! I love bringing in my old books to sell or donate and using that money to get some new books to love!

I loved the new location parking is easy and the owners and people who work here are true bibliophiles :) Please support this locally owned and operated store . This is a great used book store. They have a good selection of used books and they are constantly putting new things on the shelves!

The new location is great there is plenty of space, its very easy to find the genre you are looking for, and the staff is excellent. Besides books they have comics, audio books, DVDs and LPs as well.

Great bookstore, glad theyre still around, selection and quality easily as good any around, but they are a better bargain.

The selection doesnt rotate as much as Id find ideal, but all the same, I so, so adore this place!
