This place is a treasure and keeps me reminded of what it feels like to be truly alive. I always find interesting and exotic items here, and it’s such a wonderful vibe that I could spend hours there lost in curious bliss. Absolutely my favorite place to buy gifts for people. Walking into Art Gecko is a feast for the senses. So many beautiful jewelry pieces, clothing, lamps, textiles, and furniture! Dont miss the upstairs show, where most of the furniture is kept. A great place to buy gifts, that statement piece, or just a little something for yourself. You can even find little rings, earrings and necklaces for under $5. The staff is very knowledgeable about the merchandise and its origins and the owner is often on site.

Been coming here for a long time, and Im always inspired by the different items that are brought from all over the world. Great place to shop if youre looking for a fun gift, or that special piece of furniture to transform any space. Love how displays are regularly being mixed up with new products. This Art Gecko Gallery (1725 Monroe Street, Madison, WI) is very clean and the people are super friendly. They have a great selection of unique items from around the world, especially Bali. They have artwork, clothes, jewelry, gem stones, etc. They bring in items regularly so stop by periodically to see whats new. No in-store bathroom but no stores in this area have in-store bathrooms. Excellent gallery. Highly recommended!

Love this store with a variety of handmade products from many countries. I like the authentic atmosphere here. The price for items are not too expensive. Once I found some cool cloth handmade cross shoulder bags on sale, about $5-$8.

Yes, I agree with the last review. Excellent merchandise and I spent a lot of money but the older lady was very rude and seems to hate any and every customer. I never write reviews but I was shaken by her rude behavior.

When I think of this place, art gallery isnt the description that comes to mind... and for good reason. When I typically think of an art gallery, I think of a place to look at stuff I can dream of affording some day. Not the case with Art Gecko. Granted there is some furniture upstairs that is pricy (as it should be...some of the pieces are exquisite hand built artistic furniture), but many of the items are quite reasonably priced and have an international flair that just plain makes me happy. I love ornate decorations and amazing color in my accent pieces. Every time I stop in, it makes me wonder why I dont do it more often (ah, its a peril of being an introvert). Staff are friendly and are never pushy.

They always have an incredible array of jewelry and art, it made for a difficult choice in finding a gift for a friend of mine for her birthday. The woman there was very helpful in finding the specific stone I wanted, and helping me wrap my finds nicely for her.

Such a great store, especially for picking up little gift. The garden outside is stunning!
